LEON HARRIS, CNN ANCHOR: Viagra is about to get stiff competition. Sorry about that. Had to do it. Two new drugs for erectile dysfunction are headed now for pharmacy shelves, Levitra from Bayer and Sealis from Eli Lilly, that's what we hear. David Zinczenco is editor-in-chief for "Men's Health" magazine.
He joins us now at our New York bureau to talk more about this.

Good to see you. How are you today?

DAVE ZINCZENCO, "MEN'S HEALTH" MAGAZINE: Hi, Leon. Nice to be here.

HARRIS: Tell us, first of all, what's the difference here between this new drug that may be on the shelves sometimes fairly soon and Viagra? Are they are the same kind of thing, or is it something different?

ZINCZENCO: Levitra is like Viagra 2.0. Just like you upgrade cell phones and laptops, sex pills have made a lot of advances. And in the case of Levitra, it works instantly, within sixteen minutes. It lasts up to 50 percent longer than Viagra, and it has fewer side effects. And the new drug, Seales (ph), which is not available here yet, but may be in the fall works, for up to 36 hours. It's huge in Europe. The French have dubbed it "the weekend" for their weekend romps, which may explain why they haven't had time for the Iraqi conflict.

HARRIS: OK, I'll leave that one up to you. Let's talk about the side effects that you said -- the side effects are different. They are different side effects. Are they different in terms of more serious, more complicating? What? Does blood come out of your eyes or something, or what?

ZINCZENCO: No, it's nothing like that. I mean, when you combine these things with heart medications, you can have dangerously low blood pressure, so you shouldn't do that. But all of the new sex pills, plus Viagra, basically cause certain side effects that could include upset stomach, headaches, nasal congestion, facial flushing and Levitra has the fewest. Basically, these are more potent drugs with fewer side effects.

HARRIS: Which probably means they will cost a heck of a lot more?

ZINCZENCO: They are going to actually cost about the same. That's what competition does sometimes. HARRIS: That's interesting. So for the same price, you can get la weekend instead of just one time around.

ZINCZENCO: Absolutely.

HARRIS: I'll have to keep an eye for that when it comes back out. Maybe And We can talk more about that down the road. Thank you.
