DARYN KAGAN, CNN ANCHOR: Your kid's goldfish dies and you go to the pet store for a replacement. But what if you run an aquarium swamped by Hurricane Katrina? Well, you go fishing.
Jennifer Huntley of our affiliate WWL has the story.
(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)
JENNIFER HUNTLEY, WWL REPORTER (voice-over): It's a diver's paradise.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: That was awesome! Awesome! Awesome!
HUNTLEY: But this expedition...
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: We're just going to find a piece of sand and drop the anchor.
HUNTLEY: ... is more work than play for five aquarists from the Audubon Aquarium of the Americas in New Orleans.
In the Florida Keys for a month looking for fish to replenish those lost after Hurricane Katrina. About 10,000 animals died tragically after the storm. And this trip...
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Anything from moray eels to squirrel fish and some snapper.
HUNTLEY: ... is a chance to bring the aquarium back to life.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Cleaning up, rebuilding. We have a goal, a focus, and this is all part of that. This is what we do.
HUNTLEY (on camera): The divers are looking for tropical fish for many of the aquarium exhibits. They hope to bring back to New Orleans about 1,500 fish when the trip is done.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: It really is kind of the next step in the long road to bringing the aquarium back.
HUNTLEY (voice-over): John Hewitt is the director of husbandry for Audubon, overseeing this team of divers as they begin to put the aquarium back together.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: When you're chasing them around and a fish that big is swimming circles around you, you gain a new appreciation for the marine life that you put on exhibit. UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I love this place! I love this place!
HUNTLEY: A special find.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: That's a slipper lobster, parabacus antortocus (ph), they call it. It's very unusual down here. You can look, look, look, never see them. These are the first ones we've seen the whole trip.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Oh, it feels great. Can't wait for everybody to see them once we open.
HUNTLEY: In fact, the divers found several more slipper lobsters, which will now join their tropical fish on their journey to a new home.

KAGAN: A little hug. Do you think they mean those hugs?
ADRIANNA COSTA, CNN HEADLINE NEWS ENTERTAINMENT CORRESPONDENT: Breaks my heart. Sorry you got to go.
KAGAN: Maybe it was the love songs, maybe not enough love from the audience. Whatever the case, Kellie Pickler's swan song was last night on "AMERICAN IDOL."
Headline news entertainment correspondent Adrianna Costa with us here with this week's take on "Idol."
COSTA: And our "caw-fee" talk.
KAGAN: Our "caw-fee." We like to cheer our little -- to "Idol." There we go.
COSTA: And we have to drink today.
KAGAN: We have company. We're going to get some help.
COSTA: Wonderful!
KAGAN: It's take your daughter or take your kid to work today.
COSTA: I know I brought all of mine.
KAGAN: Your mother's, like, what?
COSTA: I didn't tell you about it.
KAGAN: We're going to get their opinion in just a minute. First, though, let's go ahead and talk about this. Kellie Pickler -- we had a little discussion yesterday. I'm not surprised that it's Kellie Pickler.
COSTA: Well, I'll tell you why I was surprised.
KAGAN: OK.
COSTA: Well, obviously, the bottom two, Kellie Pickler, Paris Bennett. Kellie has never been in the bottom three before throughout the entire show. She, nor Taylor, has been in the bottom three. But they are the only two contestants who have never been there. OK, to see her actually being voted off last night was a little bit of a surprise, whereas Paris Bennett has been in the bottom three numerous times.
KAGAN: Right.
COSTA: She sang "Unchained Melody," her rendition of "Unchained Melody" by the Righteous Brothers. Listen, I'll tell you something, it wasn't a phenomenal performance. But what I call it -- it's surreal. Because it feels like it could have been pulled straight from a David Lynch movie, because it didn't make sense, but then, in turn, it like all made sense. Do you get it?
KAGAN: This performance?
COSTA: This performance.
KAGAN: Yes. I mean, the last couple weeks she has looked so uncomfortable.
COSTA: She hasn't had very strong performances over the past few weeks.
KAGAN: Playing up the dumb blonde thing even more than working on the singing, I think.
COSTA: The schtick and the gimmick, maybe it got old.
KAGAN: So you mentioned Paris. She's been in the bottom two or bottom three many times now. I think -- this is my own take on this. I think Paris is bigger than "American Idol." I think she's going to grow into this talent. She's only 17 years old.
COSTA: Look at you.
KAGAN: Listen, I'm getting my move here. So phenomenally talented. Almost a voice that's bigger than her 17 years. She's going to be fine no matter what happens to her.
COSTA: I think I totally agree with you, although she's not my favorite contestant. And listen, this is a very unpredictable show. I wouldn't be placing bets yet. But if I did -- if I was going to be killed or I had to put my money on someone, I would say Paris is probably next to go. I'm sorry, Daryn, don't hate me and invite me back.
KAGAN: Oh, you're always welcome here, no matter who's -- now the top two last night were Katherine and Chris.
COSTA: Hello, Chris Daughtry! I mean, if you weren't a fan before...
KAGAN: You've been a huge fan.
COSTA: ... you've got to be a fan now. He is incredible! He sang...
KAGAN: Well, here's Katherine. Let's talk her first.
COSTA: Well, hello, did you see her dress?
KAGAN: Yes, and what was coming out of the dress. That might have helped with the voting a little bit.
COSTA: Exciting there. And you know what -- can I tell you about Katherine? I know both you and myself, we don't love, love, love her. She's absolutely gorgeous. That's what sort of kept her in the competition this long. But they panned over to her father sitting in the audience at one point, and he had tears welling up in his eyes, OK? It made her and her family very human and likeable. And you know what, my votes were with her. I have to tell you, something about that -- probably because I have a close relationship with my own father -- I got it. You know, it was like a sympathy vote.
KAGAN: Chris, the rocker, the last two weeks has gone away from the...
COSTA: Oh, my goodness.
KAGAN: It's that bald thing that's working for you?
COSTA: I didn't like it before, but apparently it works.
KAGAN: Well, you know, the target demographic here -- and we have our own little demographic group back here. Let's check with the girls.
COSTA: Girls.
KAGAN: Girls?
COSTA: Look, they're like, hey.
KAGAN: OK, let's ask them. OK. Show of hands. Who thinks Chris is going to win the whole thing? Chris. Who think's Katherine's going to win the whole thing? Anybody else?
COSTA: What about Taylor? No?
KAGAN: No.
COSTA: They don't get the whole gray hair thing.
KAGAN: They're too young for Taylor.
COSTA: We call it salt and pepper.
KAGAN: We'll explain it to you another time. We weren't able to find out what they're doing next week, right? There's five left.
COSTA: We have no word yet. If -- listen, let's say who we think are going to be safe next week. Taylor.
KAGAN: Taylor, Chris.
COSTA: I'd say those are the only two who are definitely safe. The rest of it is a toss-up, because you know what the great thing about this show is? It's unpredictable, right?
KAGAN: And that's why we watch and that's why we invite you back here every week. Thank you, Adrianna.
COSTA: It's been such a pleasure to be here.
KAGAN: Oh, it's always fun to have you come up and talk "Caw-fee Talk."
COSTA: "Caw-fee Talk"!

So there's another reality television show. Well, there's one for just about everything. We got singing, dancing, ice skating, cooking. I know. What about designing cars?

KAGAN: All right, Allan, I need your guy take on something. Beer bellies.
CHERNOFF: Definitely not a cool thing.
KAGAN: Not a cool thing?
CHERNOFF: No.
KAGAN: Well, it is for one guy. He thinks it's going to make him a lot of money. The beer is real, but the belly is fake. Coming up on LIVE TODAY.

KAGAN: Have you had enough of gas price stories? What about another high-priced fuel beer? It can cost you to fill 'er up at the old ball game. And you don't want to go broke, and then go fat.
CNN's Jeanne Moos has a story she did for "PAULA ZAHN NOW."

JEANNE MOOS, CNN CORRESPONDENT (voice-over): You're looking at a guy with six-pack abs. We mean a real six-pack, six cans of beer poured in a pouch, the pouch goes in a sling.
Slip the sling over your head. The sling gets velcroed on, put on a t-shirt and voila.
(on camera): Very realistic.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I don't get the joke.
MOOS: It's not a joke. It's a product.
(voice-over): A product that lets you go undetected say, to a ballpark or movie loaded with beer or any other beverage.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Put some vodka in there, get a vodka orange if you wanted to.
MOOS: So you don't have to shell out outrageous amounts for drinks. You drink from a hose you can still through your collar, sleeve or fly, oh, my.
The beer belly is unisex. It's like a bad-fitting bra. What a pair news assistant Chris Brown and I made. I sure had folks fooled.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Do I say congratulations?
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: You definitely look like you're about seven months.
MOOS: When I revealed myself --
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: It's very sexy. I like it!
MOOS: Sort of like those empathy bellies husbands wear to experience what their pregnant wives are going through. Self- described beer drinkers were smitten.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Wow, serious, that's cool.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: We need more people drinking at the ballpark, is that what you're saying? We don't have enough?
MOOS: They're sold at the beerbelly.com for $35, the owner of a California electronics company dreamed them up. BROOKS LAMBERT, PRES., UNDER DEVELOPMENT INC.: It kind of happened as a gag between a couple buddies. We were just joking around, how do you beer into a movie or ball game without putting a can in your sock.
MOOS: Police say using the beer belly could violate open container laws. The Web site has tips for avoiding detection.
(on camera): If he's patted down, he's going to say, I have this medical device, you don't want to see it.
(voice-over): Sometimes it's hard to tell the fake from the real beer belly.
(on camera): Where's your hose?
(voice-over): The creator has a follow-up product in mind, two pouches designed to add to a woman's bust.
LAMBERT: We're going to call it the wine rack.
MOOS: But for now if you want to carry a six pack undetected, you have to make yourself ugly with a beer gut.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: But you're still drunk enough to feel attractive.
MOOS: You're the bar. Belly up.
