THIS IS A RUSH TRANSCRIPT. THIS COPY MAY NOT BE IN ITS FINAL FORM AND MAY BE UPDATED. LEON HARRIS, CNN ANCHOR: We're going to take you to Hawaii.
DARYN KAGAN, CNN ANCHOR: All right, let's go. We can't. We're stuck here, so we're going to depend on our Gale O'Neill -- Gale.
(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)
GALE O'NEILL, CNN CORRESPONDENT (voice-over): The Four Seasons resort on the western, or Kona, coast of the big island is a slice of heaven carved from a 19th century lava flow. Guest rooms are set in clean lines with a Polynesian past. And just a stone's throw from all this grownup elegance lies the resort's biggest attraction for children of all ages.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: When you touch them, they feel real soft and velvety.
KELI'I BROWN, FOUR SEASONS RESORT: I think what King's Pond represents is a real safe haven, particularly for youth and for kids who want to go snorkeling and swimming.
O'NEILL: But if you're fishing for a hangout that's small and cozy...
BARBARA CAMPBELL, WAIMEA GARDENS COTTAGE: The whole experience of the big island can best be experienced by staying at a bed and breakfast.
O'NEILL: Barbara Campbell (ph) got her start in the hospitality trade the old-fashioned way. She and her husband turned a honeymoon cottage built for their daughter into a rustic island retreat once the newlyweds moved out. And that's how the Wachovia Gardens Cottage was born, proving that be it ever so humble or grand, there is no place like the big island for accommodations that fit any taste and budget.
Gale O'Neill, CNN, Waimea, Hawaii.
(END VIDEOTAPE)
HARRIS: That is beautiful.
