MICHAEL OKWU, CNN CORRESPONDENT: Good morning, everyone. I'm Michael Okwu in New York. The sounds of music were heard last night in New York at a star-studded concert benefit. Destiny's Child headlined "The Event to Prevent" at the Roseland Ballroom. The concert, which included performances from 98 Degrees and Macy Gray, launched the Candie's Foundation, an organization that will educate teens about the consequences of teenage pregnancy.

JEFF SIMMONS, 98 DEGREES: Just do your part, be safe and be careful, and be responsible, the most important thing.

MICHELLE WILLIAMS, DESTINY'S CHILD: We always, always, always want to do things to help young ladies and young men, and I know I see a young lady around here wearing a shirt that says be independent, don't depend on him. And that says so much. You can't depend on no one else but you to keep yourself safe, to keep yourself free from diseases, free from infection.

OKWU: Later on "Showbiz Today Reports," John Travolta is hoping for a summer smash with his new movie "Swordfish." We caught up with him on the set of that high-tech thriller. That's at 11:35 a.m. Eastern. In New York, I'm Michael Okwu.
