DARYN KAGAN, CNN ANCHOR: And we're going to check in on show business now. Comedian Paula Poundstone in the news.

LEON HARRIS, CNN ANCHOR: Yes. This is a strange story that we saw this morning.

KAGAN: Yes.

HARRIS: She's facing some charges. Let's go check in now with our Bill Tush in New York to see what's up with that -- Bill.

KAGAN: Hi, Bill.

BILL TUSH, CNN CORRESPONDENT: We're here to fill you in.

Comedian Paula Poundstone was released on bond after being arrested Wednesday and charged with lewd acts upon a child and child endangerment. The Los Angeles district attorney's office released a statement saying the 41-year-old Poundstone was arrested on three counts of committing a lewd act involving an unidentified girl under the age of 14 and endangering two other girls and two boys. It is unclear whether the allegations involve any of Poundstone's three adopted children. An arraignment date has not yet been set.

Turning now to Tyrese, who has only good things happening these days. This model, singer and actor is a busy boy who stars in the new John Singleton film, "Baby Boy." If that's not enough, he's also just released a new album called "2000 Watts." Paul Vercammen caught up with the hot star to talk about his bright and shining career.

PAUL VERCAMMEN, CNN CORRESPONDENT (voice-over): Tyrese has become a marketable multimedia product starring in and, in a way, singing in his first film, "Baby Boy."

TYRESE: Cute Mr. Baby Boy. You not the real McCoy. VERCAMMEN: Under the direction of "Boys In the Hood's" John Singleton.

UNIDENTIFIED ACTOR: Hello?

TYRESE: All right, where you all going?

(END VIDEO CLIP)

TYRESE: I'm not going to sit here and lie. I had never acted before in my life prior this movie so whatever people are going to see is what they're going to get.

TYRESE (singing): I'd like them girls in the Bentley. That's the kind of girl I need.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

VERCAMMEN: Tyrese is the smooth singer of "I Like Them Girls" off his second album, "2000 Watts."

Tyrese hired A-list producers, including Jermaine Dupri and Babyface, to make the record.

TYRESE: I said listen, I want to rightfully pay you what you deserve, you know? But please deliver the goods because this is my second album. I don't want you to tamper with my history.

TYRESE: Baby, I like what I see in you, baby.

I'm going to have kids. One day I want them to be able to listen to my album and be like I really enjoy your second album, dad.

VERCAMMEN: Tyrese is straight out of Watts and proud of it.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

TYRESE (singing): I'm from Watts so I'm ghetto. No more games and drama. If you live by the na-na, you die by the na-na.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

VERCAMMEN: Don't expect Tyrese to brag about his new movie or fans lining up to have the singer sign their CD.

TYRESE: I can't be arrogant or cocky over accomplishments that happened last year and last month, you know? I'm really flattered that everybody has showed up today. I'm honored that they one, are this interested to wait in a line around a corner to, are this interested in buying my album.

VERCAMMEN: Now Tyrese fans can purchase a movie ticket and buy into him as an actor.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP, "BABY BOY")

TYRESE: I ain't trying to go out like that, Pete. I'm going be a seller.
