LEON HARRIS, CNN ANCHOR: In Washington today, police resumed their search of parks near Chandra Levy's apartment. And they're also tracking the cybertrail she left behind before vanishing nearly 11 weeks ago.

Our national correspondent Bob Franken has been our point man on this case. And he joins us now with the very latest.

Good morning, Bob.

BOB FRANKEN, CNN NATIONAL CORRESPONDENT: Good morning.

Let's talk about the cybertrail first. As we all know, they have evidence, very strong evidence, that on May 1, Chandra Levy was in her apartment using her laptop computer. They've taken clues from that. They led to their revisiting the Rock Creek Park area, as we know.

They also got information having to do with committee hearings that she was interested in -- committees, by the way, that included Congressman Gary Condit as a member.

You're seeing the Rock Creek Park area now of Washington. It is an area where the police have been searching the last couple of days. There is a light rain falling right now that really increases the hazard out there, people falling and hurting themselves. So we're waiting to see if they're going to continue the search.

They're in an area, by the way, by the National Zoo. And we're told that they're not going to go anywhere near the animals, but in fact, the search will go on, weather permitting.

Now the -- getting back to the -- coming back to the computer for just a second, the police have other information, information about a restaurant that she might have visited, other material, travel plans, that kind of thing. And we're expecting at some point today or tomorrow, that they're going to release some more of that information to the public.

Now what they're really trying to do is get it organized so it can be released in public form. And the idea is, is that this information goes out. It might job somebody's memory out there.

They've gotten hundreds of tips. None of them has panned out yet, but they're looking for more. So this material is going to go out. And then, they're going to be expecting a deluge of phone calls, of course, as people say they saw Chandra Levy or think they saw Chandra Levy.

Now, one of the other places we're watching again is the House Agriculture Committee -- that committee that Chandra Levy was so interested in on that last day on her computer. As you can see, right now, it's an empty room. It is a room that will be filled soon with members of the Agriculture Committee as they work on the farm bill for this year. One of the members, of course, is Congressman Gary Condit. He was in attendance yesterday. We have no reason to believe he won't be there today. We'll keep tabs of that of course.

So the investigation is proceeding at a very tedious pace, but it is proceeding. The police are quite frustrated. They will be the first to tell you that they, after 11 weeks, have no real pinpoint location on Chandra Levy and what has become probably one of history's most prominent missing persons cases -- Leon.

HARRIS: All right, thank you very much. Bob Franken in Washington.
