KASEY FOSTER, SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA: My name is Kasey Foster. And I'm from San Francisco, California.
And I want to know if bald eagles are still endangered.
CARL POPE, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, SIERRA CLUB: Technically, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has said that the bald eagle is only threatened.
At the Sierra Club, we think it's really still endangered. There are two or three big populations here in the United States -- one in the Chesapeake Bay, one in the Ozarks. But there are far, far fewer bald eagles than there were when it became our national bird.
And we believe it would have been wiser to keep the bald eagle on the Endangered Species Act and to finish the task of helping our national bird recover as a symbol for future generations that we're really committed to protecting America's wildlife.
