GEOYE PUGH, FRIEND: She has a beautiful voice. She can dance. You know, she's an actress.
AALIYAH, SINGER/ACTRESS: This is my first movie. It's extremely exciting. This is something I have wanted for so long. And for it to finally come to fruition, it's just -- it's amazing. This is just wetting my appetite. I am going after it full-blown now. I'm looking for the next film now. Hopefully, I'll be in something else soon.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: She had a great impact on many lives. And it was a great experience to share with.
AALIYAH: I'm a homebody. I stay home. I'm very close to my brother. We have a very tight family unit, so we all love to go to the movies, just kick it, rent videos, video games. But I'm a simple girl.
PUGH: Aaliyah was my best friend. She was a beautiful person on the inside and out. And I'm just shocked.
