BILL HEMMER, CNN ANCHOR: Now to Pakistan, where the American ambassador laid out the case today against Osama bin Laden.
CNN's Tom Mintier in the capital city of Islamabad. Tom filed this report.
TOM MINTIER, CNN CORRESPONDENT: The United States made its case today around the world to its allies and friends about Osama bin Laden's involvement in the September 11th terrorist attack against the United States.
But possibly no place other than Pakistan was possibly as important. The Pakistani briefing done by the ambassador herself, Wendy Chamberlain, with Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf.
Now the meeting lasted about 90 minutes, and the majority of it taken up by an oral presentation made by the ambassador on the investigation as it stands right now. Part of the briefing also involved other issues, but nobody on either side is talking. One thing we do know, the Taliban apparently have not been told by the Pakistanis what the investigative notes were.
We talked to the Taliban ambassador to Pakistan as he was in Quetta, asking him if he had been briefed by any Pakistani official about the status of the American investigation or the information supplied to Pakistan.
Taliban's ambassador said he simply had no information and had not been provided any by the government or by any people in Pakistan.
I'm Tom Mintier, CNN, in Islamabad, Pakistan.
