BILL HEMMER, CNN ANCHOR: More now on this greyhound situation in Tennessee. Once again we want to point out as FRANK Sesno reported here two hours ago. Federal officials again believe the crash is an isolated incident, not an act of terrorism.

A Greyhound representative now indicating again the bus company has halted service nationwide as a precaution and as a precaution only.

CNN's Jason Carroll in midtown Manhattan reporting from the Port Authority on reaction from there. Jason, good morning to you.

JASON CARROLL, CNN CORRESPONDENT: Good morning to you, Bill, but not a good morning for many travelers who have to use Port Authority Bus Station. I'm standing outside the bus station right now. Because of all of our camera cables, they are say it's not safe for us to be inside. This is the busiest bus terminal in the entire country. And as you know, Bill, Greyhound serves thousands of customers when they suspend service, you can imagine what kind of effect it has here for those who are trying to travel.

Thousands of people are at this point -- are just trying to figure out what their next move is going to be. We had an opportunity to speak to some folks earlier this morning, and they tell us at this point they just feel like they're stuck.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: As soon as they said they will investigate the incident, then we'll know.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: All I hear is the announcement that it's on hold until further notice. I have no idea what's happening.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I don't know if I'm like stuck here or if I have to have someone come pick me up or what's going to go on. It's too late to get airline ticket for today. I don't know what the right thing to do is. I'm actually pretty scared.

CARROLL: This morning I also had an opportunity to call over at Greyhound's corporate communication office. A spokesman there tells me that if you are holding Greyhound ticket and you haven't left -- you're sitting at home, you should call before you head out to the station and those people who are already at stations throughout the country should just sit tight and wait for more information. But at this point, service has been suspended until further notice. Bill?

HEMMER: Alright, Jason. Jason Carroll in the streets of . Jason, thanks again. An update now from Tennessee. 10 dead at this point. The driver, who had his throat slit apparently has survived.

But again underlining again. There has been no connection through federal authorities that this indeed was an act of terrorism. That story breaking out of Tennessee between Nashville and Chattanooga. A bus bound from Louisville, Kentucky to Atlanta, Georgia overnight this morning.
