Heavy Bombing Reported In and Around Kandahar

BILL HEMMER, CNN ANCHOR: Now the military campaign against the Taliban. And a question this morning. What happens when it ends? That question, the subject in Washington the House International Relations Committee. A handful of Afghan experts giving their opinions there.
But for the here and now, heavy-duted bombing -- heavy-duty bombing reported today in and around Kandahar, in the south.
And CNN Correspondent Kamal Hyder reporting from there.
KAMAL HYDER, CNN CORRESPONDENT: All day today, allied bombers flew over Kandahar, one B-52 seen even by the residents of Kandahar as it flew toward the west. It attracted anti-aircraft artillery fire from the Taliban, but flew way above the range of the triple A.
Also we had air activity over Kandahar this afternoon, again with bombers picking targets outside in the districts of Kandahar. Last night, however, we are told that there was a strike on a village of Maiwand, Dang and Argandab districts where basically there is some loss of life being reported, though not independently confirmed.
