DARYN KAGAN, CNN ANCHOR: Welcome back to us here at CNN. Yeah, you guys can see yourselves on television. You know, not everybody wants to work on Christmas morning, but if you have to, no better way to do it than with all these darling kids and Santa Claus who stopped by here at CNN. Santa Claus, you must be exhausted from the big night?

SANTA CLAUS: I am. But I was telling these folks that I haven't had a chance to sleep a bit yet.

KAGAN: Really? Now, there are some flight restrictions around the world because of some of the events that have taken place this year. Any problems in getting the sled and all the reindeer around?

SANTA CLAUS: Fortunately, we are pretty well known, so security was not a problem, but we did have to get checked out carefully.

KAGAN: Absolutely. Did you see -- you just have to see this face. A little Santa in training. This is Shamar (ph). How old is he?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Shamar (ph) is four months.

KAGAN: Four months. He is darling, and he's being so good. I just want to see those beautiful eyes in there. Oh, there he is. Oh, so lovely.

Now, some of the kids -- these are some of the kids actually related to lots of people who work here at CNN. And they've had a chance to come up and talk to you. And we're going to bring some of them up here. Where is Mario? Mario, you want to go up and talk to Santa a little bit? Will you go and sit on his lap for us? Come on, be a champ.

SANTA CLAUS: Well, I don't know whether we've got room to squeeze Mario in here or not, but can you move and let Mario come over here? And maybe Mario can stand beside me.

KAGAN: There, right there by the chair. Here. You can come over here. Oh, I like that skirt. You know what? The doll just lost her red shoe.

SANTA CLAUS: I know Mario brought a really special fellow with him this morning. KAGAN: And who is this, Mario?

MARIO: I didn't get him for Christmas.

KAGAN: Who is he? Everyone at home has to see. Who is he?

MARIO: (UNINTELLIGIBLE).

KAGAN: And what is he?

MARIO: A seal.

KAGAN: He's a seal? Very good. Did you get good presents this morning?

MARIO: Yes.

KAGAN: And were you talking with Santa earlier?

MARIO: Yeah.

SANTA CLAUS: Very briefly. I think we were more concerned with some of the technical aspects here at CNN than we were with...

KAGAN: Absolutely. The kids were fascinated with all the microphones and TelePrompTers and all the ear pieces. And they got a quick little lesson on that.

Where's Chloe?

CHLOE: Right here.

SANTA CLAUS: Right beside you.

KAGAN: Did you get this dolly for Christmas?

CHLOE: Yes.

KAGAN: What's her name?

CHLOE: Dorothy.

KAGAN: She looks like she came from the "Wizard of Oz."

CHLOE: She did.

KAGAN: Did you have a chance to go up and talk to Santa Claus?

CHLOE: Yes.

KAGAN: What did you talk to him about?

CHLOE: I saw these reindeers, and (UNINTELLIGIBLE).

KAGAN: You saw the reindeer?

CHLOE: The baby -- baby...

KAGAN: Baby reindeer? Very good.

Now, Santa, how would you -- this of course this year being very different than past years, and it seems like so much has changed since we saw you exactly a year ago today. What is some of the wisdom that you can give us from your Santa perspective?

SANTA CLAUS: Well, I think the most important thing is, the bottom line is: Love and what you are going to do for someone else. And I think even for these young folks that are here, it's what they are going to do for somebody else, for some of the children in Afghan and other people around the world. And I think it's a time of sharing.

KAGAN: Very true. How many kids here are going to be sharing and sharing their toys?

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Me.

KAGAN: You too, Chloe? Good. Where's Claire? Hi, Claire. You want to come sit up here with me? OK. I love your dress. Oh, here we go, come and sit right here with me. Did you see Santa Claus?

CLAIRE: Yes.

KAGAN: And what did you say to Santa Claus?

CLAIRE: I have presents of a scarf that Santa gave me.

KAGAN: You got a scarf?

CLAIRE: Yeah, with feathers on it.

KAGAN: Feathers on the scarf? What color are the feathers?

CLAIRE: Pink.

KAGAN: Pink. I'd bet that would look good with this dress. Yes, that looks lovely with the tights.

Now, Santa, what's the plan from here? You haven't had a wink of sleep.

SANTA CLAUS: Well, I'm going to get back to the workshop just as rapidly as I can.

KAGAN: Really? You got to start on the toys for next year already?

SANTA CLAUS: Well, Mrs. Claus and the elves have got that plenty well lined up. If it wasn't for Mrs. Claus, I wouldn't be where I am today.

KAGAN: She runs that operation, doesn't she?

SANTA CLAUS: Definitely.

KAGAN: The great woman behind the man.

SANTA CLAUS: Definitely.

KAGAN: Hey, kids, do we all know what Santa Claus says? What does he say?

UNIDENTIFIED CHILDREN: Ho, ho, ho!

KAGAN: Oh, I think I can hear it louder than that.

UNIDENTIFIED CHILDREN AND SANTA CLAUS: Ho, ho, ho! Merry Christmas.

KAGAN: Very good. Let's one good one from Santa as we go to break.

SANTA CLAUS: Ho, ho, ho! OK?

KAGAN: Very good. Well, Santa, merry Christmas to you. Thanks for stopping by.

SANTA CLAUS: Merry Christmas to everyone throughout the world.

KAGAN: Absolutely. We appreciate it every year when you stop by.

SANTA CLAUS: It's a pleasure to be able to squeeze it in.

KAGAN: As always. Happy holidays to you.

SANTA CLAUS: Thank you to everyone.

KAGAN: Only the best. And get some more shots of these great and darling and delicious children as we go to break.
