JACK CAFFERTY, CNN CORRESPONDENT: Paula and Anderson join me now for a segment we call The Morning Buzz.
And I guess the most disturbing story is the one in the "Miami Herald" this morning about this alleged plot to kill Jeb Bush, the governor of Florida.
ANDERSON COOPER, CNN CORRESPONDENT: Absolutely.
PAULA ZAHN, CNN ANCHOR: It's a story now that CNN can confirm, as well. And if any of you were with us at the top of the hour, our correspondent on the scene, Mark Potter, made it very clear that this jailhouse informant who gave investigators this information is a guy that there are tons of questions swirling around.
Nevertheless, obviously...
CAFFERTY: But apparently...
ZAHN: ... the idea that he gave them information that there was a plot, you know, a truck standing by loaded with explosives...
CAFFERTY: And they went to some warehouse...
ZAHN: ... had them concerned today.
CAFFERTY: ... apparently, and the bomb dogs went ballistic on that.
COOPER: Right. According to the "Miami Herald," the first tip that this guy -- they were all very dubious -- but the first tip actually led them to an empty van in a warehouse and the bomb dogs, as you said, went wild. So as Mark Potter said there, they're dubious, but they're taking it very seriously.
ZAHN: The other story dominating the news this morning, of course, is news that Enron -- you can see the front page of the "Washington Post" here -- Enron actually asked for some help from cabinet officials. Now there's conflicting information on that, as well, but apparently Ken Lay, the head of Enron, not only spoke with Don Evans, but the treasury secretary as well.
This is a time now when the auditors maintain they have destroyed some documents related to this investigation. You've got, what, the attorney general now recusing himself from the investigation as well as the U.S....
COOPER: Yes, the entire...
ZAHN: ... the whole U.S. attorney's office in Houston.
COOPER: It's amazing. The entire office, the entire U.S. office in Houston has recused itself. It's pretty amazing.
CAFFERTY: And, Paula, this is a bit heavy for you. Check out the "New York Times," where a couple of scientists have determined the universe is green.
COOPER: Turquoise.
CAFFERTY: Turquoise?
COOPER: Turquoise. There's a big difference.
ZAHN: Men are color blind. Can you tell the difference between green and turquoise anyway?
CAFFERTY: Do we have to issue a retraction?
ZAHN: Right now.
All right, you can send your comments and questions to us here at American male -- American male, there we go -- American Morning by e- mail. Our address is am@cnn.com. No turquoise anywhere on that screen.
