THIS IS A RUSH TRANSCRIPT. THIS COPY MAY NOT BE IN ITS FINAL FORM AND MAY BE UPDATED.
JACK CAFFERTY, CNN ANCHOR: It wouldn't be "AMERICAN MORNING" without the buzz so we'll -- so we'll get right at that deal.

A couple of highlights and lowlights from the Super Bowl last night, one of the high points was the honor roll of victims of the World Trade Center which was scrolled up in the stadium behind Bono and U2 during the halftime. Very moving stuff.

The low point of the entire evening may have been this one. Roll the tape.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

PAUL MCCARTNEY, SINGER: It's been a hard day's night,...

TERRY BRADSHAW, SPORTS ANNOUNCER: Come on.

MCCARTNEY: ... I should be working like a dog.

HOWIE LONG, SPORTS ANNOUNCER: I've seen it all now.

MCCARTNEY: It's been a hard day's night, I should be sleeping like a log.

BRADSHAW: But when I get home to you...

MCCARTNEY: I knew this man when he had hair, he was cool.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

CAFFERTY: All right. That's funny. Bradshaw didn't know the words.

ANDERSON COOPER, CNN ANCHOR: If he'd been dragging his nails across a blackboard it would have been less painful.

PAULA ZAHN, CNN ANCHOR: It didn't last that long.

COOPER: No, but then they repeated it again afterward like...

ZAHN: Oh they did?

COOPER: ... Terry Bradshaw continuing to do it. He didn't even know the words. CAFFERTY: Yes.

ZAHN: Oh, he was just taking advantage of an opportunity. How often do you get to sit across from Paul McCartney ...

CAFFERTY: Paul McCartney.

COOPER: Yes.

ZAHN: ... in front of billions of people and sing badly.

COOPER: And make a fool of yourself I guess, yes.

CAFFERTY: He did -- McCartney did a great opening number ahead of the -- ahead of the kickoff. He was large at that moment.

COOPER: And so how...

CAFFERTY: Also played a little retrospective of the Beatles and (UNINTELLIGIBLE).

COOPER: How hard is it to figure out it's working like a dog, sleeping like a log, you know? It's not like working like a log, it just doesn't work.

ZAHN: Well I like Terry Bradshaw so I'm going to...

CAFFERTY: Oh I do too.

ZAHN: ... cut him slack on this one.

COOPER: All right. I don't know the guy so you know I'm sure he could beat me into a pulp but...

CAFFERTY: Yes, he could, Anderson, in a -- in a heartbeat, as Paula could.

ZAHN: Hey, only because of my Marine training many, many years ago.

CAFFERTY: That's right.

COOPER: Yes.

ZAHN: I went to boot camp at Paradise Island.

COOPER: Training in the black arts.

ZAHN: Now drumroll, please. The Olympics around the corner. They get underway Friday. Have you seen some of these statistics on what it is going to cost to pull off these games?

CAFFERTY: Very expensive.

ZAHN: Very expensive. We're talking about, according to the "Washington Times," $114 million per day which comes to what? How does this -- does this make any sense, $817,000 per athlete? I guess this is when you're factoring in the cost of security and all the other things...

CAFFERTY: Sure.

ZAHN: ... attendant to this.

CAFFERTY: Wow!

ZAHN: $300 million for security in all, $8 million for the cauldron that contains the Olympic torch.

CAFFERTY: Yes.

COOPER: It's amazing also when you put it into perspective, in 1980, the Olympics in Lake Placid compare it to that, this is -- this is twice as much. It's nearly six times more costly than the Olympics in Lake Placid.

CAFFERTY: What about this item, $322 thousand to chauffeur the IOC members around the city? With all the bribes they took, couldn't they pay for that themselves?

ZAHN: Well you know the interesting thing about that statistic, they have spent so much money in Salt Lake City to upgrade their infrastructure...

CAFFERTY: Oh yes.

ZAHN: ... and there's a lot of mass transit available. I guess the IOC members...

CAFFERTY: It's not the same as riding in the -- ...

ZAHN: ... don't use that.

COOPER: They're not going to ride in that.

CAFFERTY: ... chauffeured limo.

ZAHN: They're not going to use light rail.

CAFFERTY: Yes, no, they're not going to mingle with the masses.

ZAHN: Box office numbers were a little soft this weekend...

CAFFERTY: Yes.

ZAHN: ... I guess because of all the Super Bowl action.

COOPER: But I think "Black Hawk Down" still led at the box office.

ZAHN: Yes with what,...

COOPER: $11.5 million. ZAHN: ... $11.5 million.

COOPER: "Snow Dogs," Cuba Gooding, Jr., 9.9.

ZAHN: Hey, come on,...

COOPER: I can't imagine anyone's going to see this.

ZAHN: ... kids like that movie.

COOPER: I guess.

ZAHN: You got kids,...

COOPER: Sure, whatever.

ZAHN: ... number one at the box office in those households.

COOPER: "The Count of Monte Cristo." I kept calling it "The Count of Monte Crisco," which maybe it's like a porn film. I missed all that (ph).

CAFFERTY: (UNINTELLIGIBLE).

COOPER: "A Walk to Remember," 8.8. "A Beautiful Mind", 8.5.

CAFFERTY: What's this movie "Slackers." It's described in the notes here as a gross out comedy. I'm not familiar with that saying (ph).

COOPER: I don't know, that's her word used.

ZAHN: Didn't do too well, right?

COOPER: Yes, did -- yes.

ZAHN: Made what, 3 million bucks?

CAFFERTY: Yes, not very much.

COOPER: Yes, oh well.

CAFFERTY: Not a lot to buzz about here today.

COOPER: Well we didn't go to the movies. We'll do the movies tonight and we'll buzz about that tomorrow.

CAFFERTY: All right.

COOPER: If you'd like to get in on the morning buzz, and gosh, I don't know why you wouldn't,...

CAFFERTY: That's right.

COOPER: ... try e-mailing us. Our address is am@cnn.com.
