BILL HEMMER, CNN ANCHOR: As the wedding of one of rock 'n' roll's royals gets closer a short time from now, Sir Paul and his fiancee Heather Mills will tie the knot at that historic Irish castle.
Richard Quest still waiting outside the castle gate, still waiting to see if anyone has shown up just yet.
Hey, Richard.
RICHARD QUEST, CNN CORRESPONDENT: Bill, when you said the excitement was building, I thought you were talking about the soccer match, which you know Ireland and Saudi Arabia, where Ireland has just scored the second goal, which of course is crucially important, but more on that as the day wears on, while we work out who will go through to the crown. These are some of the people who are waiting to catch a glimpse of the celebrities here outside Castle Leslie.
We talked a great deal about the fact that there are people here. And with me, we have Heather -- not Heather Mills, but Heather nonetheless.
Good morning, Heather.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Good morning.
QUEST: Now quickly tell me, you saw Paul McCartney yesterday and Heather, your namesake. How were they?
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Wonderfully. Absolutely. Brilliant. I couldn't believe I actually had seek both of them. It was fantastic. I felt like I was drunk without having any alcohol or without having anything, you know. I just was on a high.
QUEST: My word.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Yes. I got to be careful.
(CROSSTALK)
QUEST: Now, listen, you're standing out here waiting to see any celebrities. I've got some bad news for you, you might not see anybody.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: That doesn't matter at all. We're here on a holiday. What better way to spend your holiday.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: We might see someone. It would be a shame to be here and not be in the vicinity, and if I could see Ringo, it would just make my day.
QUEST: Well, let me get back to you watching, because you're turning your head. This is what I call the eternal optimism. May not see anybody, but at least the rain seems to have stayed off for the time being.
And perhaps a final look just down here. This is the other big story.
Hello.
This is perhaps the other big story, Bill.
We've got not only the McCartney wedding, but I think this gentleman is probably more concerned with the 2-0 victory that looks look likely for The Ireland national team against Saudi Arabia.
What's his name?
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: That's Anthony.
QUEST: Hello, Anthony.
How are they doing?
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Say they're winning 2-0.
QUEST: They're we are. They're 2-0 up. You paid your money, and hopefully we'll hear the cheer when that game comes to an end.
Bill, we've got two big stories in Ireland today.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Really like that.
Thank you, Richard. Looks like a beautiful day for a wedding, too. Thank you, Richard Quest. By my watch, I think we're about 90 minutes away, is that right, Richard?
QUEST: Yes or less. About 90 minutes. That's if it starts at 3:30. And so far, we're waiting for the big bus that's carrying supposedly some of the celebrities.
HEMMER: You let us know when that happens. Thank you, Richard. Richard Quest waiting inside Glaslough, outside rather.
