DARYN KAGAN, CNN ANCHOR: Want to check again on Hurricane Lili, not packing the punch she had just before making landfall, but the storm still is doing some damage, and if you wonder about that, let's check in with our Jeff Flock, who is in Morgan City, Louisiana. He is west of New Orleans.
Jeff, show us the picture, as you do so well.
JEFF FLOCK, CNN CORRESPONDENT: Did you say wet of New Orleans or west of New Orleans, I'm not sure? But right now, it's packing a lot of water right now as we speak right now, Daryn, and the mayor told us within the next hour, he really expects the worst of it to get here to Morgan City. As you can see right now, the wind is not quite as strong as earlier before, but, boy, it's raining like heck.
And this drain over here, we're watching the drains very carefully. People from public works were out earlier. They've got extra pumps in. You can't see down the drain, but so far they're still clear, this one here at my feet. Very important, because it's low. Surge is a key. And the worst of it not yet on us. We're hanging in there. We'll talk to you later.
KAGAN: Jeff, you're saying the worst of it not hitting yet. What about the storm surge?
FLOCK: That's just what I'm talking about. That's what they're most worried about, is when the worst gets on them, is whether they get much of a surge. At this point, everything is good. The river up about a half a foot he said. And everything else is good. There is some standing water in the streets, but not terribly bad. When the worst of it gets on them, that's when their concerned about this water push.
KAGAN: All right. Well, it looks like long way from the light pole factory. You actually have to hold on to the light pole to keep from blowing away, but you guys stay safe out there, OK?
