BILL HEMMER, CNN ANCHOR: We want to check in with Jeanne Moos to find out what she discovered about shopping and the ultimate relaxation.
(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

JEANNE MOOS, CNN CORRESPONDENT (voice-over): Imagine a cross between a MRI, a tanning bed and this.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: She thought it was a car wash.

MOOS: But your car never felt this good.

(on camera): I think she likes it.

(voice-over): It's causing moaning in malls, not to mention puzzled looks from passersby on the outside looking in.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: There's a body in there. It's alive. It's a person.

MOOS: It's a person, all right, just looks like a body bag.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Like a thousand busy fingers, working at once.

MOOS: It's called Aqua Massage, and it's now in 250 malls across America, even appeared in a couple of truck stops, not to mention casinos, like New York New York in Las Vegas.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: That was wonderful.

MOOS: Airports are next. It's Connecticut manufacturer has sold it in 52 countries. A eurathane-coated sheet of nylon keeps you dry. You crawl on to the bed fully clothed, close the lid, then let the Aqua Massage rip -- 36 jets spraying 90 degree water pummel you with 2 to 12 pounds of pressure.

(on camera): How's it going?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Fantastic.

MOOS (voice-over): Perfect for folks who don't like them touching them.

KILLIAN RIEDER, AQUA MASSAGE OWNER: A lot of people are uncomfortable getting undressed in front of somebody else. MOOS: Killian Rieder and her husband, Jeff, own Aqua Massagers at half a dozen sites, including this one at Roosevelt Field Mall on Long Island.

(on camera): Now can you do dogs?

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: We have never done a dog yet.

MOOS: Seven minutes cost 12 bucks at this location.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Rejuvenation. Rejuvenation.

MOOS: The machines cost about $30,000. There's an emergency stop button in case you're claustrophobic, stop the jets and train them on one particular part of your body, though others stare, even try to touch, tend to be blissfully unaware once you're being aqua massaged.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: When a lot of women get out, they're like, oh, better than sex.

MOOS: Maybe their sex is wishy-washy. Folks who went in with aches and pains came out saying they vanished. Still some image- conscious malls refused Aqua Massagers saying they look like coffins, and for some, they are to die for.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Oh, now going down to the bottom of my feet. It's -- I cannot describe it.

MOOS: Jeanne Moos, Garden City, New York.
