BILL HEMMER, CNN ANCHOR: It is possible, and we want to stress "possible" right now, that another shooting took place last night in Manassas, Virginia. Sense of geography -- we're in Rockville, Maryland, just north of the nation's capitol. Manassas about 40 minutes to the southwest of our location here, and that is where we find -- right near that area, in Woodbridge, Virginia, Patty Davis is working the story and waiting for police to talk any moment now.
Patty, good morning.

PATTY DAVIS, CNN CORRESPONDENT: Police do not yet have hard evidence, they say, as to whether or not last night's murder is connected to the other sniper shootings. A man was shot and killed around 8:15 last night at a Sunoco station. He had just finished pumping gas into his Mazda car when he was shot and killed. A witness says that he heard a single gunshot. Police are now coming the scene for evidence, and they say they are on the lookout for a vehicle that someone saw leave the scene.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

COL. CHARLIE DEANE, PRINCE WILLIAM CTY. POLICE: We were given a look-out for a vehicle that was seen in the area, that we do not know whether or not it was involved in this incident or not. But it was a white Caravan vehicle -- Dodge Caravan. It left the scene.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

DAVIS: Last night, police say witnesses saw two white men in that van. We expect to hear more about all of this in a very few minutes. The Prince William Country public information spokesman will be coming to the microphones where we are in Woodbridge, Virginia, to give us more details and updates.

Back to you.

HEMMER: Patty, Thank you. Patty Davis in Woodbridge.
