PAULA ZAHN, CNN ANCHOR: As we close out this week, once again, Bill Hemmer is reporting from Montgomery County, Maryland.
Good morning -- Bill. What's the very latest from there?
BILL HEMMER, CNN ANCHOR: Paula, good morning to you.
No new shootings from overnight. That's the status as we stand here again on a Friday morning.
Picking up a couple of things of interest down in Manassas. The police chief yesterday, late yesterday, said -- and I want to quote now -- "We have witnesses we think may be of value." How much value right now still needs to be ascertained, but to date, it's the indication we have anyway, Paula, that no new evidence has been found down there yet, things like a shell casing or the tarot card five days ago at the school on Monday not too far from our location here.
We are looking into all of this, this morning, as the investigation continues down there, they continue to scour the area. And they continue to go back to previous locations where shootings have taken place here.
We'll talk with a special agent in charge in the FBI in a matter of moments, and we do anticipate, Paula, the police chief in about 15 minutes to an hour to brief reporters here in Rockville.
More in a moment -- back to you now in New York.
ZAHN: Thanks, Bill. See you in a little bit.
