PAULA ZAHN, CNN ANCHOR: Now onto our other top story this morning, the latest shooting outside of Washington. A woman was shot, while she and her husband were loading packages into their car outside a hardware store in Falls Church, Virginia.
Michael Okwu has been following the story all night long. He joins us now with an update.
Good morning -- Michael.
MICHAEL OKWU, CNN CORRESPONDENT: Good morning to you, Paula.
Again, this happened all at about 9:15 last night in the parking lot of a Home Depot here in Falls Church, Virginia.
Now, authorities say that -- again, this area is called the Seven Corners Mall. She was with her husband when the shooting occurred, as you mentioned.
Authorities also mentioned the fact that it is just too early at this point to officially connect this shooting with the spate of shootings that started on October 2.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
CHIEF TOM MANGER, FAIRFAX COUNTY, POLICE: I know that the question in everyone's mind is, is this shooting related to the others that we've had in the area? It's too early to tell at this point. However, we are working it and investigating it with that potential in mind.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
OKWU: Now, officials here say that they have been questioning several witnesses. There have been federal agents combing this area since very late last night, and they say that they are looking for a cream-colored van, a Chevy Astro, very much like the one you are looking at now -- Paula.
ZAHN: So, Michael, let's talk about what immediately happened after the shooting. Give us a sense of how law enforcement started to close off highways, and specifically what happened.
