PAULA ZAHN, CNN ANCHOR: Andy Serwer is around the corner this morning, checking out the Halloween day business at Dylan's Candy Bar store in New York.
Good morning.

ANDY SERWER, "FORTUNE" MAGAZINE: Good morning to you, Paula.

I'm here with Dylan Lauren. She is the daughter of Ricky and Ralph Lauren, and she opened up this amazing candy store a while back. It's really out of a Willy Wonka fantasy.

And, Dylan, how did you come up with the idea to open a candy store?

DYLAN LAUREN, CO-OWNER, DYLAN'S CANDY BAR: I've always loved candy, have had an enormous sweet tooth forever. And basically, I also travel a lot, and I've seen candy from China, and Israel and around the world, and I thought, it would be great to showcase all of the candy I've seen in a giant store, Dylan's candy bar, 10,000 square feet filled wall to wall with candy. The packaging we choose is all beautiful, artistic designs and chocolate sculptures. So having an art and design background, I find candy I thought was interesting for a consumer.

ZAHN: Right. Now how is business going? I understand you're thinking about expanding to other cities?

LAUREN: Yes, it's going really well. We're surprised how successful Dylan's Candy Bar has been. Adults love it, kids love it, 80-year-old people love it, and we're planning to expand to other major cosmopolitan areas, and hopefully abroad in Europe, hopefully.

ZAHN: Now for Halloween, we understand a lot of times people turn to the old faithful candies that they grew up with, and you have this incredible section of retro candy. Why don't you talk about some of the old favorites here.

LAUREN: Well, some of the favorites are these candy pipes, licorice pipes, which adults love and Neco (ph) wafers are fun. Gold rocks are popular, ring pops. Nostalgia is really important this time, especially for September 11th. People are gravitating toward a sort of friendly childhood memory area in the store.

So nostalgia, American retro candy is popular for Halloween especially. SERWER: Right, I see some things here that caught my eye. You know, being business a business person, Paula, this is kind of something that I really like. I got some presents to bring back here. Look at these. These are some Big Hunks.

LAUREN: For you, especially.

SERWER: Thank you.

I thought it would be for Jack and Leon. And then for Paula, Wonder Woman Pez. What do you say, Paula?

ZAHN: I am so flattered.

SERWER: She's a wonder woman, right?

ZAHN: Maybe according to you.

SERWER: This is a great place. You guys have to come down here after work.

ZAHN: I don't think you'd ever hear that opinion in my household, Andy.

Hey, you two, have a great Halloween.

Andy, you going out with your kids tonight?

SERWER: I am. I'm going to bring this candy cell phone. There's so much stuff here. We're going out, we're going to have a great time.

ZAHN: You can come to my building, I got two extra bags waiting for you.

SERWER: OK, we will, we'll show up.

ZAHN: Thank you.
