BILL HEMMER, CNN ANCHOR: Rusty Dornin live outside the courthouse in Beverly Hills.
Rusty, good morning to you.

RUSTY DORNIN, CNN CORRESPONDENT: Good morning, Bill.

I think, legally,we have to remember, even though she was convicted of these two felonies, she is not really a convicted felon until she has been sentenced on December 6th.

Now as you know, the maximum for those two counts would be three years in jail. Very unlikely that Miss Ryder will do any jail time. According to the prosecutor, they're simply seeking restitution, probation, some community service to make her accountable for conduct.

Also Judge Elvin Fox (ph) does have the discretion that he could reduce these felonies to misdemeanors, because if she is convicted of a felony, she'll also lose the right to vote here in California.

What now? What happens between now and the sentencing? Well, I think we can expect her to keep a very low profile. She left the courthouse very quickly yesterday of. Someone asked her in the courthouse, how are you feeling? She said, thank you for asking, but I'm not really talking now. I don't think anybody is going to hear her talking until that sentencing.

She doesn't want to do anything that might compromise her situation, might make the judge angry before imposing a sentence upon her. But after that sentencing, she's going to have a lot of publicity. You can probably expect her to use it. Just like she did right after her arrest, she did go on "Saturday Night Live" and did a lot of magazine interviews and that sort of thing, sort of making fun of the situation. She's likely to hit the talk shows. Of course, the big thing is, who will get that one-on-one interview, and have her do the tell-all interview?

Now, of course, we don't know officially whether she has been offered any movie deals since her arrest. Her career has sort of been languishing anyway over the past couple of years. It's unclear whether this will hurt it. It's unlikely -- most of the experts say it's very unlikely it will hurt it. Hollywood is very forgiving, unless it's a murder or molestation, or if they feel she's too unstable to work. But at this point a lot of folks are saying that they don't think that's the situation, so we'll just have to wait and see. Now, as far as reaction from folks around here, a lot of people still feeling like it was a bit overzealous. The prosecution was overzealous, that something could have been worked out. But a lot of people happy that she was held accountable for what she did, and some folks just saying, look, if she has a problem where this is concerned, we hope she can get some help -- Bill.

HEMMER: In the meantime, we've given her a lifetime of publicity.

Thank you, Rusty. December 6th, sentencing goes down there.
