BILL HEMMER, CNN ANCHOR: November 7th, never a minute too soon for New York to think about the holidays.
ANDY SERWER, "FORTUNE" MAGAZINE: Got that right.
But you have found some companies, actually, making inroads on a holiday season that might not be that great?
Right. We're hearing about Christmas, terrible retailing season, but there are some companies doing some things right. One of them is Mattel, which has some incredibly hot products this year. This apparently, Bill, right here, is the Rapunzel Barbie. This is brand new. This is the hottest toy this Christmas supposedly, the Rapunzel Barbie. And they haven't stopped there. The good people of Mattel, look at this. This is a new line of Barbies, Bill. You might be intrigued here.
HEMMER: I don't know much about them.
SERWER: Listen, people out there, this is one of the biggest selling products, toys. This is My Scene Barbie. Interesting, as kids grow up faster, Barbies appealing to kids actually 3, 4, 5 years old. These My Scene Barbies are for older girls, 7 to 12. See, they're losing out on the market. Now trying to -- more stylish and swinging. They're rolling these My Scene Barbies out, and listen to this, what they have got coming out is the Shakira doll.
Can you imagine that?
I don't know if we have tape of Shakira. Now, how would you like to have a Shakira doll? This is kids of all ages here.
It's not an emergency. The stock moving up on the news. Not quite out yet. It's going to be coming out in the next couple of days for the holiday season. The stock is on the move. The company has had problems over the past couple of years. Seems to be on track. So even talking about a bad retailing season, always a hot product, a hot toy. Some companies are going to do well. This is probably going to be one of them.
HEMMER: Tickle Me Elmo.
SERWER: Remember that one.
HEMMER: That was hot. Thank you, Andy.
