ANDY SERWER, "FORTUNE" MAGAZINE: Futures are up this morning, rather, strongly, Paula, and that's because something not on a lot of people's radar screen, but the giant strike and the lockout and all of that angst going on on the West Coast, the Longshoreman's Strike, has finally been settled. They reached a six-year contract over the weekend, which is great news, because companies were suggesting they were still encountering problems because of the lockout. There is the big ports out West.
PAULA ZAHN, CNN ANCHOR: Stuff is still being destroyed, right, that has been sit into containers for too long?
SERWER: Right, it's still not being unloaded. There are still shortages. Companies like Toys 'R' Us were still saying they weren't getting enough goods out there. They're shortages. The Elmo Chicken Dance Doll, apparently, They are out of those already for Christmas.
ZAHN: Really? I've been standing in line waiting for one of those. That's the big toy this season?
SERWER: That's one of the big toys. So it's great news that that is over, six-year deal. Those Longshoremen get paid great money, up to $106,000 average a year for those guys, make big money.
ZAHN: Now is that with the new agreement, or there will be more in addition to that?
SERWER: No, that is the new agreement.
ZAHN: Let's talk about traveling for Thanksgiving. Is it true gas is going to be a little bit cheaper around the country?
SERWER: Absolutely. Gas prices are down. That's great news for everyone.
ZAHN: Guzzle up, for gobble, gobble, Andy.
SERWER: There you go.
Down about five cents a gallon from where we were last week. There you can see. The big number is $1.44, down from $1.49. But still not as good as it was a year ago -- a year ago it was $1.23. So not so great, but it's better than it was a couple of weeks ago. A lot of people are going to be driving.
ZAHN: Are you driving? SERWER: No, I'm actually flying, because it's just easier with the kids. I got to go a long distance, and where we didn't fly last year, we're going to fly this year.
