BILL HEMMER, CNN ANCHOR: It's that time of year when you get your big bonus.
ANDY SERWER, "FORTUNE" MAGAZINE: Bonus? Give me a bonus.
Are you getting a bonus?
We'll talk about that later.
Bonuses actually -- here's some good news. You'd expect bonuses to be really lousy this year, a new study out this year from Mercer Consulting suggesting otherwise, that bonuses, 60 percent of the companies that give bonuses will either be giving bonuses that are higher or the same as last year, 40 percent less.
But that's much better than last year, more than half the companies were cutting bonuses. We also have raises, what's your raise going to be, this year -- Bill. I've got that on the screen, about 3.5-3.7 percent, not a lot of variation there, people, 3.5 to 3.7. Jack is snickering, he wants more, off camera. Compared to the rate of inflation which is almost nothing, I guess 3.7 -- and now the Dow is up even higher. It's up 26 points.
HEMMER: Interesting point you make, I mean, relative this year to last year.
SERWER: Yes.
