ANDY SERWER, "FORTUNE" MAGAZINE: Santa Clause, the business of Santa Clause, as you mentioned in that tease, you know, we are scrutinizing Santas like never before. There is a company doing background checks of Santa. They did a check of a thousand Santas -- 70 of them it turned out had criminal or misdemeanor records. Unbelievable.
PAULA ZAHN, CNN ANCHOR: Come on!
SERWER: Drunken driving. Some of it's not so bad.
ZAHN: That's bad. Drunken driving is not good.
SERWER: It's not good, but it's not something -- I would not necessarily fire a Santa for having drunken driving on his record. Come on, Paula, People commit all kind of indiscretions, but some of the things were actually bad enough so these people lost their jobs or were unable to get their jobs. And as you suggested, in this day and age, people are going to get checked out. There is a job description we saw, though, at monster.com.
Look at this, this is tis the season: "Wanted, Santa, reliable method of transportation. Weekend, criminal background check," again.
And there's a new study that backs this up by Aon (ph), the insurance company suggesting that all kinds of people, your co- workers, have all kind of criminal records; 7 percent are criminal convicts, 7 percent lied about job experience, you've seen that with that with all these CEOs, and 37 have lied about educational experience.
So people have got to know that we're checking up on them now.
ZAHN: Not here in this studio, right, guys?
SERWER: None of them match those statistics. So They always tell the truth, particularly about their job experience.
ZAHN: Andy, have a great Thanksgiving.
SERWER: I'll see you tomorrow.
