CAROL COSTELLO, CNN ANCHOR: We have to change topics now because we have to talk about Black Friday.
BILL HEMMER, CNN ANCHOR: We do.

COSTELLO: We keep saying Black Friday.

HEMMER: We should define that, huh?

COSTELLO: We probably should explain, yes.

HEMMER: Andy Serwer will tell you this is the day that retailers are actually in the black, not the red, because it is day one.

COSTELLO: Day one.

HEMMER: And they're off and running.

COSTELLO: That's right. They are. They certainly are. The shoppers are out there in droves already this morning.

Our Jeff Flock is out with those early shoppers -- Jeff, where are you?

JEFF FLOCK, CNN CORRESPONDENT: Carol, I'm out before the shoppers even here. I'm out here playing around with the displays. We're going to show you what the cool and interesting things are before the doors even open, as across the country the hour comes and the doors open and the shoppers onslaught begins.
