DR. SANJAY GUPTA, CNN MEDICAL CORRESPONDENT: Someone out there, someone is holding a Powerball ticket worth nearly $315 million. The winning ticket was sold in West Virginia.
WSAZ reporter Doug Korsanjay (ph) is in.
Doug, are you with us there?
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Yes, I'm right here. I'll tell you what, it's getting crazy here in this store. This is C&L Superserve, a convenience store in Hurricane, West Virginia. And I'll tell you what, it's very crazy here right now. You can see the atmosphere as news has spread that the Powerball, the one winning ticket was sold right here in West Virginia.
This is the machine right here. It was sold Monday evening about 7:14 p.m., and it's really gotten crazy here this morning.
And standing by with me now is Amy Trogdon (ph). She's the daughter of the owner of this store.
Amy (ph), your reaction to the winning ticket being sold right here.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I'm just very excited. I'm glad it was here. I mean, we've never had this much, you know, news coverage. It's great. I love it. It's good for the store, it really is.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Now, the store gets $100,000. What do you think about that?
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Oh, it's wonderful. I'm sure we could put that to good use. I mean, we still have to pay off some bills and stuff. It's greatly appreciated.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: We still don't know who has this winning ticket. Do you have any idea of who it could be in the community?
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I really have no idea. Hopefully, it's somebody that comes in every day and -- but it could be, you know, just relatives visiting -- you know, I have no idea. Hopefully, it's somebody around here.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: OK, well, thank you very much for joining us.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Thank you. UNIDENTIFIED MALE: And we are standing by right here to see if the winner comes in today. The lottery officials are standing by, too. They're also there at lottery headquarters in the state capital of Charleston. So, we're still waiting to see who has the one winning ticket for $314 million. That's $170 million cash option.
GUPTA: And, David, did you say, or did Amy (ph) say there, that the store gets some money as well if the ticket was actually sold from that store?
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: That's right. A bonus of $100,000. The amount does not change regardless of what the jackpot is. So, they'll be getting $100,000 as soon as that ticket is cashed. They can't get their money until the winner comes in and claims his or her prize.
GUPTA: All right, so, they're rooting for that person.
