PAULA ZAHN, CNN ANCHOR: It's a total bummer for the young Dell dude. The young actor who plays the pitchman for the personal computer maker has been arrested.
Andy Serwer has more. What happened to him?

ANDY SERWER, "FORTUNE" MAGAZINE: Well, he got caught in lower Manhattan buying a bag of marijuana.

ZAHN: How stupid of him.

SERWER: That's true, but that's what happens with dudes. If you're a dude, that's the kind of stuff you do. We're going to talk about that in a second.

Let's check in on the markets. The story there, Paula, is, as goes Iraq, so goes the stock market. We were kind of flip-flopping around yesterday, and then the news came out that Iraqis would accept the U-2 reconnaissance flights, and then the market kind of tailed up in the afternoon. The Dow at 55 points, the Nasdaq and S&P up as well.

Futures are up this morning.

The big story on the economic front is going to be Fed Chairman Alan Greenspan, who is going to be testifying before the Senate Banking Committee. And what's interesting here I think is to sort of read between the lines when he's asked about President Bush's stimulus package. Is he going to be vehemently for it, or will he be damning it with faint praise. That's going to be the interesting thing.

ZAHN: What do you expect?

SERWER: Well, I think -- you know, he is a hawk on deficits, as I am, as you know. And so, it will be interesting to see how he handles that. He wants to support the president, but I can't see him saying these big deficits are a good thing.

ZAHN: And how actively do you think the market will be affected by what he has to say today?

SERWER: Well, I think it will, but again, Iraqi developments are going to overshadow even the Fed chairman.

So, let's talk about the important news, shall we?

ZAHN: That is? SERWER: The Dell dude, OK, get back to him.

ZAHN: Yes, so he's accused of buying a bag of marijuana.

SERWER: He was -- yes, he was arrested buying a bag of marijuana. We want to look at a before and after picture of the Dell dude. Ben Curtis, there he is, pitching those Dell computers, and here you have a picture of him last night -- or two nights ago actually I think it was, in police custody.

He spent the night in jail, and he's a student at NYU, 22 years old.

You know, it's interesting, he's sort of been put on the back burner in that campaign recently. You know that?

ZAHN: Yes, you don't see too much of him.

SERWER: And the question in my mind is: Was he put on the back burner because Michael Dell found out he was partaking in the evil weed? Or did he turn to marijuana because he had been sort of phased out?

ZAHN: Well, I think you need to be Mr. Dell on and get to the bottom of this one.

SERWER: You know, what's interesting, a lot of people, when they heard about this story, they said this is, you know, how the New York City police are spending their time and money, and we have these big problems with deficits here in Manhattan. On the other hand, how would you feel if people were outside your building or your house selling pot?

So, you know, it's just one of those issues, and poor Ben Curtis got caught in the middle of it.

ZAHN: We'll see if he ends up paying a price for it, or what ultimately happens in court...

SERWER: Oh, I think (UNINTELLIGIBLE) on this one, yes.

ZAHN: ... where he can wav it off.

SERWER: It's a small amount.

ZAHN: OK, thanks, Andy.
