CHAD MYERS, CNN METEOROLOGIST: Now on some very tricky and difficult travel conditions, here is our friend, Rally Caparas, with that -- Rally.
RALLY CAPARAS, TRAVELOCITY: Chad, thanks a lot.

Well, I'm here in the confines of the beautiful Embassy Suites hotel in North Charleston's airport convention center. I was on vacation also, as many of you are. Sorry to see what's happening up in the northeast. Lots of snow, lots of cancellations, folks. Keep that in mind.

The delays that I'm telling you about are delays that are going to happen to those that actually make it into the sky today. There won't be very many of those. Hundreds of delays can be anticipated.

Here's how it's going to happen for you in Boston today. If you're headed into or out of Boston's Logan Airport, they're delay- free, believe it or not, right now. But that's going to change real quickly. You can expect 60-minute arrival delays for pickup as the day goes on. Those delays will double and triple before we get to the evening rush period there. They're going to see a lot of snow, as Chad just told you.

The New York City Metros basically paralyzed right now. The airports are having a difficult time even seeing down the runway with 30-40-50-knot winds, all of that snow, it looks like a sheet of white in front of your face. Some of the reporters that are on location there will tell you that. You can expect two to three-hour arrival and departure delays if your flight actually makes it out today, folks.

Philadelphia International, two-hour delays are going to be the average. You're going to see those delays explode into more like four, five and six.

Once again, a lot of combination of flights, cancellations all over the place. The gate agents can't help you. Go to the customer service kiosks. That will be your best way to do it.

I'll have more on the rest of the East in the next half-hour or so.

Paula -- back to you in the studies.

PAULA ZAHN, CNN ANCHOR: Well, I hope you're not in any rush, and you can enjoy the last part of your vacation right there in the hotel. CAPARAS: I'm going to stay right here in the protection. It's cold outside here.

ZAHN: Yes, it's a good day to be patient. Thanks, Rally. See you a little bit later on this morning.

CAPARAS: Thanks, Paula.
