JACK CAFFERTY, CNN ANCHOR: Andy Serwer is here "Minding Your Business." I was listening to the radio coming in, and I didn't realize this. They said it had been a month since the Dow had had two up days in a row.
ANDY SERWER, "FORTUNE" MAGAZINE: Yes, yes. Been a while, been a while.
CAFFERTY: Yes. It's scary.
SERWER: Yes, and actually the Nasdaq is now up for the year. Did you know that?
CAFFERTY: No, I didn't realize that.
SERWER: And that's pretty decent, isn't it?
CAFFERTY: I'm going to sell.
SERWER: Yes.
CAFFERTY: Take that profit and get out.
SERWER: The Dow was up yesterday 132 points, you guys.
Now, I want to ask Paula a personal question. Is that a rally, Paula?
PAULA ZAHN, CNN ANCHOR: Well, if you're calling 44 points a rally, that is a super rally.
(CROSSTALK)
SERWER: That is a super rally. The Nasdaq was up 36 points. That's 2.8 percent. A big day. A couple of things going on.
First of all, I really think the snow had something to do with it. It really eased...
ZAHN: What snow, Andy?
SERWER: It's all gone now. It's pretty amazing. But the storm took everyone's mind off of the terror alert and off of the war for a little bit. And I think that's good. Also, tensions -- war tensions eased.
We'll be talking about some of the improved signs in the economy later in the program.
CAFFERTY: OK.
SERWER: We want to talk about that credit card hack attack thing. It's just kind of bugging me. We talked yesterday, two million people were hacked.
CAFFERTY: Right.
SERWER: Now eight million people have been hacked.
CAFFERTY: This is Visa and MasterCard, the big credit card companies, right?
SERWER: Right, right.
CAFFERTY: American Express.
SERWER: But the thing is that what gets me is this hacker hasnt -- now it's up to eight million cards, and they are now saying that Amex and Discover have been hacked, too. But nothing was done. Remember we talked about fiddling and diddling yesterday? That was the operative phrase.
CAFFERTY: I recall that.
SERWER: So, this person is fiddling, and they haven't done anything yet. So, until this person actually does something, we're just not going to talk about it anymore.
CAFFERTY: We're going to spite that story as they used to say in the old news...
(CROSSTALK)
SERWER: Yes, we're going to spike. Yes, right, exactly. Do something or be gone, not that I want them to.
CAFFERTY: We have a limited amount of time here. We're on to other things of more relevance.
SERWER: Yes.
CAFFERTY: Right?
SERWER: That's it.
CAFFERTY: All right, thanks, Andy.
SERWER: OK.
