PAULA ZAHN, CNN ANCHOR: Meanwhile, the White House may be considering sending a final warning to Iraq before a war. It would serve as notice that an attack is around the corner.
We go live to Baghdad, where Iraq's military today is marching in the streets.
Rym Brahimi joins us to explain why -- good morning, Rym.
RYM BRAHIMI, CNN CORRESPONDENT: Good morning to you, Paula.
Well, first of all, let me just bring you up to date with the destruction of the Al Samoud missiles. As you know, that's been continuing. Today, Iraqi officials, Paula, tell us that nine of those missiles have been destroyed and you could even see some trucks carrying some Al Samoud missiles going here and there.
As you know, Paula, the missiles can't actually be destroyed where they're deployed or where they're stored. They have to be taken to a site. They're then crushed by a bulldozer and then they're buried and recovered with cement.
Now, let's go back to the marches you were asking me about. Those are Iraqi civil defense units. They were marching in the presence of the Iraqi minister of interior. Several thousands of people, Paula, on one of Iraq's broad avenues known as Palestine Street. There were policemen, some of them wearing helmets, some of them had weapons, some of them were driving by in police cars. You also had firemen, rescue teams, security forces.
This was, according to the Iraqi interior ministry, showing an example of the number of people that are prepared to fight or prepared to die, as he told reporters. There were even group formations of people who said that they were martyrs or prepared to be martyrs and that they would fight until the last drop of blood -- Paula.
ZAHN: Rym Brahimi, thanks for the update out of Baghdad.
