PAULA ZAHN, CNN ANCHOR: Developments are coming to us from all over Iraq. We're going to get started with Walt Rodgers this morning with the Army's 3-7th Calvary on the move toward Baghdad, and he joins us now by videophone.
Walter -- what's the very latest from there?
WALTER RODGERS, CNN SENIOR INTERNATIONAL CORRESPONDENT: Paula, the U.S. Army's 3rd Squadron, 7th Calvary, has successfully broken the defense line that the Iraqi regime in Baghdad had established between Al Najaf in the west and all the way along the Euphrates River. A short while ago, that is within the past several hours, the Bone Crusher troop of the U.S. 7th Calvary managed to find a bridge that was open. They dashed across the bridge to the north side of the Euphrates. Again, that had been a defense line for Saddam Hussein's soldiers.
But they managed to punch across that bridge...
ZAHN: OK, Walt, we're going to have to come back to you. Let's listen on what the prime minister, Tony Blair, of Great Britain has to say.
