BILL HEMMER, CNN ANCHOR: Back to Baghdad right now, where U.S. troops can pull the 10 of hearts and the nine of diamonds from their deck of most wanted Iraqis. Back to Baghdad and Rym Brahimi, who's tracking this -- how significant, Rym?
Good afternoon there.
RYM BRAHIMI, CNN CORRESPONDENT: Hello to you, Bill.
Well, it's quite significant if you look at the two latest captures, if you will, of, that were announced by the U.S. Central Command. You have Abdul Tawab Mulla Howeish. He was minister of military industrialization. And that's quite a big ministry if you consider every single site that was linked to military industrialization in this country. And, of course, he would be believed in that case to have a lot of things to say about Iraq's alleged weapons programs. Abdul Tawab Mulla Howeish is also one of the deputy prime ministers of Iraq.
The other person that was captured was Taha Muhyl al Din Maruf. Now, he was a vice president. He's also a member of the Revolution Command Council, which was at the time the highest authority in the country. So very close to Saddam Hussein. A very small group of people there that were part of the leadership and he was number 42, I believe, among the 55 most wanted on the list of members of the leadership that the U.S. is looking for.
That brings to 17 the number of people in custody of the U.S. forces here in Baghdad -- Bill.
HEMMER: Rym Brahimi in Baghdad, thanks for that update there.
