LEON HARRIS, CNN ANCHOR: Memorial Day is the unofficial start of summer, and with it comes an array of summer gadgets.
Andy Serwer has more now, as he is "Minding Your Business."
(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)
ANDY SERWER, "FORTUNE" MAGAZINE: All right, we're here looking at some summer gadgets at the Sharper Image that sells everything from the practical to the practically absurd. Right now, we're looking at some binoculars that are also a digital camera. That's a first, right? Check that out. If you look right through it, there is the American flag. There is Superman's cape over here. There we go. You've got to love gizmos if you want that baby.
Over here is the feel-good fan. This fan will help you feel good if you're not feeling good. It's a fan and an ionizer. I'm not really sure why anyone would want to combine those or what they're for. Apparently, they're big in Europe. The French like these babies over here.
OK, and this, how did you ever live without this? The automatic eyeglass cleaner. That's right. You put your glasses in here, just pop this lid down, turn it on, working its magic, stop it, open it up, and look at that. It's dipped it in the liquid. Can you imagine that?
All right, the camera goes for around 350, and the fan and the glass cleaner, 40 bucks -- about that.
Again, I'm not sure how anyone lived without any of these things.
