CAROL COSTELLO, CNN ANCHOR: If you're on the way to catch a cab to the airport, tell the cabbie to wait because Travelocity's air traffic expert Rally Caparas is here to tell you about possible delays.
Good morning -- Rally.

RALLY CAPARAS, AIR TRAFFIC SPECIALIST, TRAVELOCITY.COM: Good morning, Carol.

Well, folks, we've had a real, real good situation going through the holiday season, and it's getting ready to, well, I won't -- I won't scare you that way. It's going to stay that way for the next couple of days. We've got some real good schedules for you. There are going to be some minor delays in the northeast. Let's start there.

LaGuardia and Newark's airport, 30 to 45-minute arrival delays. There'll be some low clouds, rain and an isolated thunderstorm or two that could block some flight routes into and out of that region. So expect short-term to moderate arrival delays only at Newark and LaGuardia.

Philadelphia and the D.C. Metros this morning, there's a lot of fog down there right now. Thirty to 45-minute arrival delays this morning. Low clouds, fog, improved conditions right around noon and later. As Chad's been telling you, the moves -- the rain is moving up to the northeast and out of that area pretty soon. You should see on- time schedules this afternoon and evening.

Down in Florida, Miami and Fort Lauderdale airports, they're delay free right now. But as they did yesterday and they will see later on tonight, 30 to 45-minute arrival and departure delays. Low clouds, thunderstorm activity all around the tip there of Florida and that'll block flight routes into and out of those two major airports.

Detroit and Cleveland this morning, they are also under very thick fog. Detroit's only got about an eighth of a mile visibility because of the fog. Should be gone by later this morning. But until then, expect 30 to 45-minute arrival delays. Detroit's in a ground stop right now so those delays could be a little longer until about 9:00 a.m. Eastern Time.

Chicago O'Hare, they're delay free right now. But later on today, they'll see low clouds, rain and wind move into the area. That means 30 to 45-minute arrival delays there. And then finally on the West Coast, Los Angeles International, they're under the fog right now also. They've got about a quarter of a mile visibility. That means 30 to 45-minute arrival delays there until about 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time.

But overall, another excellent day for air travel throughout the United States.

Carol, I'll be back in the morning with the latest from Travelocity's "Eye on the Sky."

COSTELLO: Nice to hear. Thanks -- Rally.

CAPARAS: Thank you.
