BILL HEMMER, ANCHOR: Meanwhile, in Colorado a judge expected to make an important ruling as early as today in the Kobe Bryant matter.
The issue involved sealed records of two 911 calls made from the home of the accuser, this months before the 19-year-old woman said she was sexually assaulted.

Josie Burke is now live with more in Eagle, Colorado, this morning.

Josie, good morning there.

JOSIE BURKE, CNN CORRESPONDENT: Good morning, Bill.

A judge is expected to start looking at the written arguments in that request to have those 911 records unsealed today.

But we might have to wait a little while to get his ruling. That's because, in a separate but related matter, a judge will hold a hearing later this week on whether to unseal all of the other legal documents in this case, and it's very likely that both judges will release their rulings at the same time.

And it's interesting, on this front, both the prosecution and the defense are united. They want to keep those documents sealed.

Even with the limited information that has been coming out here in Eagle County, especially after a judge issued what amounts to a gag order last week, we have seen just how personal this case can get, and will get.

And that's not only referring to Kobe Bryant, and the alleged victim, but also to the district attorney in this case, Mark Hurlbert. He's been receiving death threats for weeks, and it escalated to the point on Friday that his office here in Eagle had to be put on lockdown.

His spokeswoman has confirmed that the FBI and the Colorado bureau of investigation are both looking into those threats. They're also looking into how they might increase security here at the district attorney's office.

On the defense front, private investigators hired by the defense team have been in Eagle County for days now. They're trying to unearth just about all the information they can about the alleged victim. And on a final note, a judge made a ruling late last week saying that cameras will be allowed in the courtroom on August 6. That's when a hearing is scheduled and Kobe Bryant is expected to attend. There will be a live audio feed made available, along with one still camera, and one video camera -- Bill.

HEMMER: So the bottom line is this week there will be news on this?

BURKE: Definitely news about how much information, Bill, we're going to be able to find out about the facts of what did or did not happen on that night.

HEMMER: All right, Josie, thanks. Josie Burke in Eagle this morning.
