SOLEDAD O'BRIEN, CNN ANCHOR: Turning now to Iraq, where the cost of rebuilding the country continues to rise in both blood and in dollars. U.S. administrator Paul Bremer delivered the most astonishing and frank assessment of just how much money is needed to rebuild that country. In an interview with "The Washington Post," Bremer says Iraq will need several tens of billions dollars just in the next year.
Meanwhile, another U.S. soldier was killed today.
CNN's Rym Brahimi is live in Baghdad with the latest from there for us this morning.
Rym -- good morning.
RYM BRAHIMI, CNN CORRESPONDENT: Good morning to you, Soledad.
Quite a few events this morning. In fact, just before I talk about that other incident, there was a robbery that took place in broad daylight just behind the mosque that you see here to my left. The robbery actually took place in downtown Baghdad. Two Iraqi policemen got killed and two civilians were killed also in that process, when two armed robbers went to kill a man just to steal his car basically.
The police chased them down, managing to injure one of those robbers and then capturing him. The other robber apparently turned up in a hospital and was also injured. But in the process, two Iraqi policemen got killed and two civilians as well.
And that's just an example of the lawlessness that the U.S. forces and the Iraqi police are trying to fight here.
Another example of lawlessness: the guerrilla insurgency that they're trying to battle. In one incident this morning, a U.S. soldier got killed in the western part of the country. He got killed, and three other of his co-soldiers were wounded, when their convoy hit an improvised explosive device.
Now, the U.S. military are also continuing their hunt for Saddam Hussein. One of their latest tactics they're using, they're distributing leaflets and posters. They're going be distributing throughout the entire country 130,000 posters -- reward posters saying Saddam Hussein is wanted, and that there will be a $25 million reward for anyone who would provide information that would lead to the arrest, or the proof of death, of the former Iraqi president. Tens of thousands of stickers and leaflets are also being distributed around the country to that effect -- Soledad.
O'BRIEN: All right, CNN's Rym Brahimi for us Baghdad this morning. Rym, thanks.
