Williams Sister Killed, Suspect Arrested

SOLEDAD O'BRIEN, CNN ANCHOR: Let's turn now to California and the arrest this morning in the shooting death of Yetunde Williams Price. The 31-year-old sister of tennis stars Venus and Serena Williams was shot yesterday.
CNN national correspondent Frank Buckley is live for us from Monterey Park right outside the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department this morning.
Frank -- good morning.
FRANK BUCKLEY, CNN NATIONAL CORRESPONDENT: Good morning, Soledad.
A major development overnight. Investigators with the L.A. County Sheriff's Department making two arrests. One of the persons arrested, 24-year-old Aaron Hammer, being charged with the murder of Yetunde Price, right now being held on suspicion of murder charges. Also arrested was Rolland Wormley, who is the acquaintance of Ms. Price, who was in the vehicle that she was riding in at the time that she was shot to death.
This took place, as you said, very early on Sunday morning outside of a home that detectives describe as a problem house in Compton, where they had responded to incidents of gang and drug activity in the past.
Now, an investigator is telling us that immediately after the shooting took place, deputies were on the scene. They brought some people out, and an arrest was made fairly quickly.
We, just a few moments ago, talked to the lieutenant who is overseeing the investigation. Here's what he had to say.

DAN ROSENBERG, L.A. COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE: Well, there were six people that were initially taken out of the residence. And after we interviewed all of the individuals, we determined that one of them -- his name is Aaron Michael Hammer, he's a 24-year-old male -- was involved in the incident, and he was actually one of the shooters.

BUCKLEY: Yetunde Price, the victim, was the personal assistant and also the oldest sister of Venus and Serena Williams. We're told by a family spokesperson that the sisters have all come together here in the Los Angeles area. They are grieving together. They are naturally shocked at these events. Right now, they are not talking, but they continue to grieve together here in the Los Angeles area.
One other thing, Soledad. Investigators are saying they believe that there may be additional shooters involved in this incident, and they are asking for the public's help in this area if they know anything about this case to please call the L.A. County Sheriff's Department -- Soledad.
