BILL HEMMER, CNN ANCHOR: Back to Chad, again, the day after.
Chad, good morning.
CHAD MYERS, CNN METEOROLOGIST: Good morning, Bill.
Actually, Ocracoke Island, the highest wind gust we could find, 105 miles per hour yesterday. This storm then moved on up and across North Carolina, very heavy winds and a lot of damage from Ocracoke to Cape Hatteras. Have not been able to get down there, simply because the police -- state police won't let us drive down there more than about four miles south of Kitty Hawk. There's so much debris on the roadway. We are going to find some devastation down there on the southern Outer Banks.
Nine-foot storm surge in Alexandria, Virginia. An awful lot of damage in Richmond, Virginia, as well. And then 60 mile per hour wind gusts in Washington. And right now that storm is just to the east, in fact, 25 miles to the east of Pittsburgh. It is just a tropical storm now. You can see the cloud cover, and eventually the rainfall, but it's going to be a beautiful weekend. This storm is going to be in Ontario, then Quebec and then out to sea by Saturday afternoon.
Back to you, Bill.
SOLEDAD O'BRIEN, CNN ANCHOR: All right, Chad, thanks. And in fact a beautiful...
MYERS: Soledad.
O'BRIEN: Yes, I'll take that toss. Thanks, Chad.
