BILL HEMMER, CNN ANCHOR: A shift in strategy for the front- runner. Arnold Schwarzenegger, the candidate, is talking as if he is governor in his first 100 days in office. Already today, though, an article about the front-runner in today's "L.A. Times."
Bob Franken covering that in L.A.
Bob, what's happening?
BOB FRANKEN, CNN CORRESPONDENT: Well, "The Los Angeles Times," Bill, has interviewed six women who say that in the 1970s, '80s, '90s and in 2000 that Schwarzenegger groped them on a movie set and off the set. They are separate incidents. Many of the women are unidentified in the article for fear of retaliation. "The Los Angeles" time article, as I said, is one that they've investigated since just about the beginning of this campaign.
Now Arnold Schwarzenegger will not comment on the article, according to his spokesman Shawn Walsh (ph). But Walsh said, we believe Democrats are using this to try and hurt the Arnold Schwarzenegger campaign. It goes on point out that it is coming, so close the election.
As you pointed out, Bill, Schwarzenegger was out campaigning yesterday, talking about what he plans to do in his first 100 days in office. The Gray Davis campaign, Governor Davis trying to avoid the recall, called this presumptions. He was around the state yesterday with another of the Democratic presidential candidates, Wesley Clark, trying to stop the recall, one that the polls show could very well happen when the election takes place, Bill, in five days.
COLLINS: Five days and counting, thank you, Bob. Bob Franken in L.A. this morning.
