BILL HEMMER, CNN ANCHOR: The 30 hour talk-a-thon in the Senate now in its fifteenth hour while Republicans on the Hill are trying to call attention to Democratic efforts to block four judicial nominees. The president is meeting with three of the judges right now.
Dana Bash at the White House.
What's happening Dana -- good morning.
DANA BASH, CNN CORRESPONDENT: Good morning, Bill.
And I think that Senator Kyl is now on the Senate floor, taking part of that marathon. And, as you mentioned, the president certainly didn't stay up with coffee and cots last night. But he is going to be joined by three of the nominees that might be pushed for a vote later today. They are three women. And he's going to be meeting in the Oval Office with Caroline Kohl (ph) of California, Janis Rogers Brown (ph), also of California, and Priscilla Owen (ph) of Texas. And this is all part, Bill, of the P.R. push. Republicans do believe that this is going to help them rally their base.
The president is going to call for an up or down vote, a 51 majority vote, just as you've heard senators have been talking about all night long. Democrats, of course, say that they want to make sure that the president just doesn't get a rubber stamp and they also harken back to when President Clinton was in office and Republicans ran the Senate, and many of these judges didn't even get hearings, much less votes -- Bill.
HEMMER: Dana, thanks.
Dana Bash.
We'll watch it there as it continues on Capitol Hill.
