SOLEDAD O'BRIEN, CNN ANCHOR: From a $6,000 shower curtain to a $15,000 umbrella stand. We are talking about one pricey pad.
Andy Serwer is "Minding Your Business" this morning.

We're not talking about your apartment, are we?

ANDY SERWER, "FORTUNE" MAGAZINE: No, unfortunately, we're not. We're talking about Dennis Kozlowski, his apartment. Remember, he's the CEO -- the former CEO of Tyco on trial for looting millions of dollars -- hundreds of millions of dollars from his company.

Are you ready for America's wealthiest home video? Here it is. This is his $18 million pad at 76th and fifth. Check this out, paintings, by Pierre, Ogust (ph), Renoir and Claude Monet as well. You can see there. And we are going to be getting on to -- look at that chandelier. This is the view of the vista. Seventy-six -- now, there's the shower curtain. That is the famous $6,000 -- and there's the famous $15,000 dog motif umbrella stand. The $6,000 shower curtain, did you know it was in the maid's bathroom?

O'BRIEN: No. Everyone thought that that was sort of the curtain in sort of the master bedroom. Not at all.

SERWER: No. Listen, this is a guy who really treats his help and his friends well. This maid was getting paid...

O'BRIEN: Girlfriends apparently, too, we've seen.

SERWER: His girlfriends, his mistresses -- $70,000 a year is what this maid made, and she was getting a $10,000 a year bonus. Not bad at all; 76th and Fifth, by the way, we should point out, a very, very toney neighborhood and just fascinating to watch for the -- there it is. That's the shower curtain. Do you think he overpaid?

O'BRIEN: I think he overpaid by about $5,980.

SERWER: Yes, yes, exactly.

O'BRIEN: I don't think I've ever spent more than $20 on a shower curtain.

SERWER: You can get one at Bed, Bath and Beyond, you were telling me, right?

O'BRIEN: Yes.

SERWER: For a lot less.

O'BRIEN: For 19.99 I bought one.

SERWER: Yes.

O'BRIEN: All right, let's talk about the markets. Good news in the economy, did that help at all in the market?

SERWER: Well, the markets, we had a mixed picture yesterday. The Dow was up a little bit, Nasdaq slipped a bit. Mostly the good news came on Monday as far as trading went. Today, we have a slew of economic activity coming in at 8:30. We'll be tracking that. And, of course, trading will wind down in the afternoon as traders, like other human beings, will be leaving for the weekend.

O'BRIEN: What? Taking the afternoon off?

SERWER: Yes, can you imagine?

O'BRIEN: Shocked!

SERWER: Right.

O'BRIEN: All right, Andy, thanks.

SERWER: OK.
