BILL HEMMER, CNN ANCHOR: Boston still digging out after a record snowfall hit that region. Patriot fans, though, digging it in on Sunday, when their team shut out the Miami Dolphins despite that blizzard. What a scene it was there in New England.
Adoara Udoji following up the cleanup efforts today live in Boston for us -- good morning there.
ADOARA UDOJI, CNN CORRESPONDENT: Good morning, Bill.
This city is getting off to a slow start here after a big storm. You're looking at a picture of Boston Common. You see some people walking there. That's because city offices are open today, as well as some other businesses. However, there are a whole lot of kids in New England who are jumping for joy because schools are closed in Boston and throughout the metropolitan area, about 250 of them.
On the travel front, Logan Airport is open and an official tells us they have one runway going, flights coming in and out. They are working very hard to get a second one up, thinking perhaps that might happen at about noon today. Of course, over the weekend it was closed for about 16 hours. So there were a lot of cancellations and delays. Expect more delays today.
As for Amtrak, they're only experiencing minor, minor delays. The subways are working and, again, that's a good thing, because a little snow isn't going to stop these Bostonians from getting to work today -- Bill.
HEMMER: Oh, isn't that the truth?
Adoara, thanks, live there in Boston.
They are digging out again today.
