JIM CLANCY, CNN CORRESPONDENT: What is worse than spam, you might ask? We're going to show you some ads popping up even closer to home. That plus a market preview.
Andy Serwer is minding your business.
I'm deeply troubled by this development here with the currency.
ANDY SERWER, "FORTUNE" MAGAZINE: Yes, this is, is there nothing sacred anymore?
CAFFERTY: Well, no.
SERWER: And the answer, of course, in America is no, there's nothing sacred. Advertising on dollar bills, on currency. I'm going to hold this nice and steady. See that? That's an ad stamped on a dollar bill. It's a sticker. I'll be clear, it's a sticker. It's USA Networks, the television network, advertising a miniseries. I'm not going to name the miniseries because they probably want me to, OK?
They're distributing...
CAFFERTY: Let's see.
SERWER: Here, you can see it.
They're distributing these in hot bars -- that's my money.
CAFFERTY: Oh.
SERWER: That's my money.
CAFFERTY: I'm sorry. I thought you (UNINTELLIGIBLE)...
SERWER: They're distributing these in hot bars in L.A. -- excuse me -- in hot bars in L.A. and New York, 50,000 of them. So I guess the cost of this is $50,000. NBC, apparently, also did it for that Trump show.
The people who run this thing say it's not a bad thing because you can peel this off.
But I want to read, and we don't get a chance to do this very often, Title 18, Section 333 of the United States Code. This is from the Secret Service Web site. Here we go: "Whoever mutilates, cuts, disfigures, perforates, unites or cements together, or does any other thing to a bank note shall be fined no more than $100 or imprisoned." Hey, it seems to me this is under disfigures.
CAFFERTY: Yes, it is.
SERWER: It's under cements together. And so the $100 fine times the 50,000, well, that would be a, what, a $5 million. I mean I think they should go after them for this.
CAFFERTY: I do, too. It's nonsense.
