UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: No. He has white stuff coming out of his mouth and blood coming out of his nose.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: We also informed dispatch that he`d used up to 10 tabs of sexual performance enhancer supplements.
911 OPERATOR: Far as you know, there was no cocaine since Saturday?
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: That is correct.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I mean, anything, I think, will set him to spiral, and that`s kind of the last thing I want for him.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
GRACE: That is E`s -year-old"Keeping up With the Kardashians."

MARILYN STANLEY, VICTIM: It was shocking. I didn`t expect it. I didn`t expect it at all.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Marilyn says her then boyfriend began beating her, repeatedly kicking her and punching her in the face.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Then scalped her inside his Walton (ph) home.
STANLEY: I wasn`t even aware that I had gotten cut until I woke up in a hospital.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
GRACE: Hello. I`m Nancy Grace, and I want to thank you for being with us.
Bombshell right now. To Nevada, reality star, husband of Khloe Kardashian, Lamar Odom, NBA great, at this hour fighting for his life.
He`s found face-down, unconscious, mucus pouring out of his mouth and nose at the Love Ranch, a Nevada brothel. It`s full of prostitutes.
When Odom`s 6-10 frame doesn`t fit in a chopper, he`s raced to a Vegas hospital, the NBA star, Kardashian husband, on a respirator, in heart
failure, liver and kidneys shutting down, his father insisting somebody else drugged him.
More reports Odom goes, quote, "off the rails" after the reality hit "Keeping up With the Kardashians," seen here from E, and the way he was
portrayed just before this happened. And tonight, we obtain the chilling 911 calls that may have saved his life. But the calls bring up even more
questions. Let`s take a listen to the 911 call.
(BEGIN AUDIO CLIP)
911 OPERATOR: Were you able to find out any more about the condition? Is he breathing?
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Yes. He is breathing regularly. He sounds like he`s snoring a little bit, but he is breathing consistently. He`s got a
little bit of fluid coming from his nose and his mouth. It`s got a red coloring to it. I wouldn`t say it`s a deep red, like blood. It`s more
kind of a pinkish color.
911 OPERATOR: And that`s coming out of both his mouth and his nose?
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Yes. I specifically saw it come out of his nose. I can`t say for sure I saw it come out of his mouth, but he`s kind of
breathing with his mouth open a little bit. He`s over on his side snoring, but breathing regularly, and he`s made a few sounds. I`m trying to speak
to him, and you know, I`m kind of hearing, like, a couple of -- I don`t know if whimper is the right word, or something like that.
911 OPERATOR: But he`s still unconscious?
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Yes. Well, he`s in a deep sleep for sure, yes.
911 OPERATOR: OK.
(END AUDIO CLIP)
(BEGIN AUDIO CLIP)
911 OPERATOR: We do have help on the way.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: OK. Now, they just add this to it. They just told me that -- somebody just came up to me and said that he apparently had
some cocaine on him that has -- that he finished (INAUDIBLE) He did this on Saturday. He`s been -- he`s been alert.
Let me ask a question. Guys, he`s been -- since that happened on Saturday, he`s been awake, alert, conscious? Yes.
[20:05:00]OK, so since then, what I just told you, he`s been up, alert, conscious and all that. So one, hopefully, doesn`t have anything to
do with the other there.
911 OPERATOR: So as far as you know, there`s no cocaine since Saturday?
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: That is correct.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
GRACE: Straight out to CNN reporter, standing by at Sunrise Hospital, Paul Vercammen. Paul, what`s the latest? Who has gathered there?
PAUL VERCAMMEN, CNN CORRESPONDENT: Nancy, from what we understand, Lamar Odom still on life support. He is not talking. Among others who
have visited him, Kobe Bryant earlier this week, the Reverend Jesse Jackson, who described it as a very serious situation, said that Odom could
be seen with tubes in his mouth, and he wasn`t talking. And then by his side, Khloe Kardashian, among the visitors here at the hospital, Nancy.
GRACE: What about his children from a previous relationship? It`s my understanding that Lamar Odom, Jr., his daughter, Destiny (ph), and their
bio mom are also there?
VERCAMMEN: Yes, as well as Lamar`s father. They`re all said to have been visiting here. And they`ve been trying to circle the wagons here,
Nancy, and they`ve done it well in terms of getting out information about his condition. The hospital is certainly cooperating.
And Khloe Kardashian`s representative told CNN recently they didn`t appreciate that Dennis Hof, who is the owner of the brothel, had been
talking to the media. They wanted him to stop. And they suggested it was sad that he might have been seeking publicity for this particular brothel
by talking to the media, Nancy.
GRACE: Well, you know what? Their argument with Dennis Hof to me is neither here nor there. I`m going to let the Kardashians battle that out
with Dennis Hof and all of the hookers he`s got at the Moonlight Ranch, OK? I`m going to let them deal with that.
Right now, I`m trying to figure out what exactly is happening because also with me is Dennis Hof, the owner of the Love Ranch and the Moonlight
Bunny Ranch. He owns the brothel where Odom was found unconscious, and also author.
Dennis Hof, what is this business about him spending $75,000 in, what, three days?
DENNIS HOF, BROTHEL OWNER: He spent $75,000, and that was his number. What he wanted is two girls, 24 hours a day to take care of any of his
needs, from food, anything in the bedroom. I`ll be here a minimum of four days, maximum of five days. I`ll give you $75,000. The girls agreed to
it. He put it on a credit card.
GRACE: He put $75,000 on a credit card. Did I understand that?
HOF: Correct.
GRACE: That`s $25,000 a day for three days.
HOF: Well, it was four or five days.
GRACE: I mean, they didn`t teach me math in law school, but -- OK, now, hold on. $75,000 for what?
HOF: Any -- well, for 24 hours a day for two girls. And he said, I`ll be there a minimum of four days, a maximum of five days. So it`s
$15,000 a day...
GRACE: OK.
HOF: ... for two girls.
GRACE: I`m not going to get into exactly what all that entails. But you did tell me that up through the entire time he was there, he was eating
regularly and seemed to be, as you said, normal. Now, I don`t know -- I can`t gauge what is normal about spending nearly 100 grand at a whorehouse,
but you know, that aside, I don`t know how that can be normal. But in your world, he seemed normal up until that day, is that correct?
HOF: That`s correct.
GRACE: And what do you mean by normal, Hof?
HOF: Well, I mean that he was sleeping. He was eating. He was having a good time. There was no signs of any impairment at all. When he
became unconscious, the sheriff`s office checked the premises. There was no signs of any paraphernalia or any drugs.
Now, drug addicts are able to hide drugs, so he could be doing them and we just didn`t know about it.
GRACE: Let me ask you this. One of the girls, as you call them, said that he had drug paraphernalia with him but did not see drugs. What does
drug paraphernalia mean?
HOF: Well, I haven`t heard that about drug paraphernalia. I heard that there was not -- when the sheriff`s department was there and our
people were there, that they found no paraphernalia or drugs at all, and I hope that`s the case.
GRACE: Hey, Hof, question to you. Is it true that after all of this went down and he had been taken away to get to the hospital, did law
enforcement show up and go into his room?
HOF: Absolutely. They checked it from one end to the other. They actually took the bottle of cognac, which had about a quarter to a third of
a bottle left in it. They took the sexual enhancement pills that he had with them also.
GRACE: OK. What were they?
HOF: Well, that`s a sexual enhancement pill that you can buy at convenience stores.
GRACE: I know. What was the name?
HOF: Reload (ph).
GRACE: Reload what?
HOF: That was the name that was on it.
GRACE: Reload 72-hour strong. OK. So is it true, Hof, that you believe he took 10 packs of those?
[20:10:12]HOF: The girls told us they thought he took eight to ten of them over the four-day period.
GRACE: Over four days, eight to ten of those. All right.
Let me ask you this. $75,000, ten packs of Reload, 72 hours, OK, whatever that means. Let me ask you this regarding the police coming.
After the police came and basically secured the room and took -- seized whatever evidence they thought was necessary, did a manager of sorts -- did
a person show up at the Love Ranch claiming to be Lamar Odom`s manager?
HOF: Somebody called me on Sunday looking for Lamar, and I said, I don`t know Lamar. And then he called back the next day and said, I`ve
talked to Lamar, I know he`s at the Love Ranch. And so I talked to him.
When there was a problem, he says he`s called from the hospital and he said, I want to get Lamar`s belongings. I said, Well, the police have
already gone through it. And I said, Well, I don`t know who you are for sure. You told me you`re his manager, but I don`t know this 100 percent.
Have his management company call me.
So I got a call from somebody from the management company saying, Yes, this gentleman is OK, give him the stuff. Now, with that being said, we
gave it to him. That night, I got a call from a guy that said he was the bodyguard for Lamar calling at the request of the family, trying to get
information and wanting to know...
GRACE: What family?
HOF: ... who this gentleman -- the Odom family...
GRACE: OK.
HOF: ... or the Kardashian-Odoms, whoever was there in the hospital, was there. And that person wanted to know about the person that got his
belongings. And I said, Well, don`t you know him? He`s his manager. He said, Well, we talked to him, and he says he`s only known Lamar for six
months now. And so I don`t know exactly what`s going on there, but it doesn`t sound right to me.
GRACE: So somebody came to get Lamar Odom`s stuff, and we don`t know who that was or why they came or what they were trying to get...
HOF: We do know his.
GRACE: Go ahead.
HOF: We do know his name. I do know his name. I`ve got his phone number, and I gave it to the bodyguard for Lamar that night.
GRACE: Hold on one moment. I think I`m being joined right now by the sheriff, Sheriff Sharon A. Wehrly, the Nye County sheriff. Sheriff, thank
you for being with us.
SHARON A. WEHRLY, NYE COUNTY SHERIFF (via telephone): Yes, I am.
GRACE: Sheriff, thank you for being with us. Was a search warrant executed on Lamar Odom`s blood?
WEHRLY: Yes, it was.
GRACE: And what was the PC, the probably cause for that?
WEHRLY: The probable cause for that was the background information that he had been taking cocaine on Saturday, but they really didn`t know
whether he had continued. And besides, we need to check to find out just what happened to him.
GRACE: OK. OK. Everyone, with us, we have Sheriff Sharon A. Wehrly, who confirms a search warrant was performed on Lamar Odom`s blood, taken
from him, and Dennis Hof, the owner of the Love Ranch.
Dennis Hof, what do you make of the Kardashians angry at you for coming here and speaking out about what happened?
HOF: Well, they didn`t want me to talk to you, Nancy. They don`t want to know about`s really going on there. And all we`re trying to do is
find out what really happened and worried about -- I would have liked to have gotten a call from Khloe saying, Dennis, what happened? What can you
tell us? Is there anything that can help with his medical situation that you know? But instead, I got a call from her publicist saying, Don`t do
Nancy Grace show. Khloe will handle the media.
And that`s not acceptable to me because all we want to do is get the truth out there, no matter what it is.
(COMMERCIAL BREAK)
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
[20:18:58]911 OPERATOR: (INAUDIBLE) still unconscious?
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Yes. Well, he`s in a deep sleep for sure.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Rolled Odom over, cleared out his mouth of fluid and blood...
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: ... fluid coming from his nose and his mouth. It`s got a red coloring to it.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: The male had been using cocaine.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Lamar has suffered so much loss in his life.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I`m always going to be there for Lamar, especially when something as tragic as this happens.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
GRACE: You`re seeing E`s "Keeping up With the Kardashians."
[20:20:00]Joining me right now, Richard Hunter, the media relations director at Love Ranch, who actually called 911. Also with me, Dennis Hof,
owner of the Love Ranch, as it is euphemistically called.
You are seeing E`s "Keeping up With the Kardashians."
I mean, you know, Dennis Hof, one of the ladies you spoke about yesterday who was with him, I -- you mentioned two ladies. Some of the
ladies at your ranch, I mean, on their tax forms, they put, employment, "whore." OK?
HOF: Oh!
GRACE: So anyway, yes, you might want to work with them on that.
Joining me right now, Richard Hunter, media relations director. Richard, you saw Lamar Odom. Richard, thank you for being with us, number
one. When you saw him, what did you observe? And your 911 call may have saved his life, if he comes out of this coma. So what did you observe when
you went into the room?
RICK HUNTER, MEDIA RELATIONS DIR. LOVE RANCH, CALLED 911: He was on the bed. He was on his back. I got up on the bed. We rolled him over on
his side, called 911 immediately. As soon as I looked at him, he was discolored. You know, he looked -- his skin did not look healthy.
And he had a yellowish mucusy fluid coming out of his nose. There was, like, white froth coming out of his mouth, and some pinkish blood
color also coming out of his nose.
He was -- I could tell he was breathing consistently, but he was snoring very, very heavily. And I was shaking him, trying to, you know,
wake him up, smack him. It was clear almost immediately that that was not going to be an option, and I could tell he was in real trouble.
GRACE: What led you to him to start with, Richard?
HUNTER: I was in the office area, and I heard one of the girls that had been in the room with him come running up the hallway screaming, Come
quick, something`s wrong with Lamar. And so I took off running down the hallway, and as soon as I got in the room, that`s where I found him. And
you know, I said, Call 911, and then started working with him.
GRACE: Was he clothed?
HUNTER: Yes, he was wearing a T-shirt, and you know, gym shorts.
GRACE: So he was lying there, and you heard a snoring sound. Very quickly, to Dr. Devi Nampiaparampil, assistant professor, NYU. Dr. Devi,
what that snoring sound was is not necessarily someone actually snoring from sleeping.
You`re seeing E`s "Keeping up With the Kardashians."
Is it, Dr. Devi?
DR. DEVI NAMPIAPARAMPIL, ASSISTANT PROFESSOR, NYU: It can be from sleeping, but most likely, in this type of scenario, when the brain starts
to lose some of its function, you can see abnormal breathing patterns. And that can happen either from, you know, if there was cocaine used or from
the supplements.
GRACE: Back to Richard Hunter. So you hear the woman running down the hall, screaming, There`s something wrong with Lamar. You run in there.
You see him on the bed. What did you have, a cellphone, a portable phone, and call 911 immediately?
HUNTER: Yes, they had a portable phone, and I told the 911 operator that I did know CPR, you know, if I needed to do it. And they told me that
because he was breathing, that wouldn`t be necessary, but the most important thing was to support him, to keep him up on his left side until
the paramedics got there.
GRACE: Right.
HUNTER: He`s a giant -- yes.
GRACE: Richard, we`re showing photos right now of the room where Lamar Odom was found. Did you see -- could you put up Richard Hunter
quickly, please? Richard Hunter actually finds Lamar Odom.
Did you see any evidence of drug use in the room, around the bed, on the bed, on the bedside tables, on the dresser, on the chairs, on the
floor, anywhere?
HUNTER: No, nowhere. And I was asking, too, the girls -- and you hear this on the 911 tape. I said, you know, You`ve got to tell me
specifically everything he could have possibly taken here, and I`ve got to convey that information to them.
GRACE: Unleash the lawyers, Troy Slayten, Rene Sandler from D.C. Troy -- you`re seeing E`s "Keeping up With the Kardashians."
First of all, to you, Troy Slaten. You just heard the elected sheriff say they have performed a search warrant on Lamar Odom`s blood in the
hospital. If there`s cocaine in his system, will he be charged with possession of cocaine, Troy Slayten?
TROY SLATEN, DEFENSE ATTORNEY: Well, they won`t necessarily charge him with possession of cocaine unless they actually find the substance.
But it`s also a crime to be under the influence of cocaine. That`s a felony in the state of Nevada.
But what concerns me is that we could be discouraging people from calling for help. If somebody is in the throes of an OD or somebody is
worried about getting prosecuted, we shouldn`t be discouraging people from seeking medical attention because they have to worry about the sheriff
coming after them.
GRACE: Rene Sandler, in that jurisdiction and in most jurisdictions, if cocaine, heroin, any illegal substance is found in your blood, it is
technically a charge of possession of cocaine. So do you foresee that happening if it turns up in his blood? They`re basically -- Hey, thank God
you`re out of the coma. Now how here`s the handcuffs. Whap! Is that what`s going to happen?
(CROSSTALK)
GRACE: ... in his system?
RENE SANDLER, DEFENSE ATTORNEY: Look, it`s possible, Nancy. But you have to look at any synthetic herbal supplements that he was taking, too,
because that, in fact, is also illegal in many, many states.
GRACE: That`s not illegal. That is not illegal!
SANDLER: Nancy, you have to -- from a pharmacological, toxicological standpoint, you have to analyze the substance. I don`t think we know the
information yet.
[20:25:04]GRACE: Well, I mean, that goes without saying. We`re waiting for the blood test to come back. He`s not going to get a felony
rap off of 72 hours staying hard, whatever it was. That is not a felony, last I looked.
(COMMERCIAL BREAK)
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: He was unconscious but breathing. He had blood coming from his nose and his mouth, along with a white substance.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: It`s more kind of a pinkish color.
911 OPERATOR: And that`s coming out of both his mouth and his nose?
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Yes. I specifically saw it come out of his nose.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
GRACE: Right now, Lamar Odom, Kardashian reality star and husband to Khloe Kardashian and NBA great, a two-time NBA champion -- right now,
you`re seeing "Keeping up With the Kardashians" -- clinging to life right now, family gathered around him.
To Chris Spargo, Dailymail.com. Let me understand something. So Khloe Kardashian files for divorce, all right? But right now, she`s still
married to him, and she is the one making all the medical decisions, is that right, Chris?
You`re seeing E`s "Keeping up With the Kardashians."
CHRIS SPARGO, REPORTER, DAILYMAIL.COM: That is correct. So Khloe filed for divorce in late 2013 but the pair only signed the documents this
July. And now the documents have not been processed here in Los Angeles. So Khloe is in fact making the medical decisions for Lamar at this time and
has been by his bed since he arrived on Tuesday and making those decisions.
GRACE: You`re seeing E`s "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" right now. Let me understand something else. Chris Spargo, apparently, according to
Dennis Hof -- you know what, let me go to Hof. Hold on, Chris.
Hof, it`s my understanding that your ladies say he was fine, he was eating full meals, he was having a good time, as you call it. I call it a
crime, but that`s neither here nor there. But then somebody starts calling him on the phone about "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" repeat on I think
it was Sunday night. And you`re seeing E`s "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" right now. And he`s in the repeat and somebody calls him
about the way he`s being portrayed and he gets upset and emotional and agitated. Did that happen?
DENNIS HOF, OWNER, BROTHEL WHERE ODOM FOUND UNCONSCIOUS: Yes. More somber. You know, he was just kind of quiet, and like he wasn`t happy.
Didn`t -- perplexed. Didn`t know how to deal with the situation and was obviously upset. And they -- but an hour later he kind of got over it and
started getting back into having a good time and socializing with the girls at the bar.
GRACE: Hey, Liz, if you can, can you pull up the clip that aired that Sunday night? You`re seeing E`s "Keeping Up with the Kardashians." Here
we go. This is the clip that apparently got Lamar Odom very upset and agitated. Right now Khloe Kardashian by his bedside, she is making all the
medical and legal decisions for him. She is still his wife even though they`re in the middle of a divorce, and here`s the clip.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
KHLOE KARDASHIAN, REALITY STAR: Hi, I`m with Kim. Can I call you back? Can you hear me?
Kim, Lamar says hi.
KIM KARDASHIAN, REALITY TV STAR: Hi, Lamar.
KHLOE KARDASHIAN: She says, hi, Lamar. Says please tell Kanye and North, he says hi.
KIM KARDASHIAN: I will.
KHLOE KARDASHIAN: OK. What Barry White tone? I don`t understand what that means.
KIM KARDASHIAN: I don`t know why Khloe and Lamar are talking. But he hurt her so badly.
KHLOE KARDASHIAN: OK. Kim is staring at me. I have to go.
KIM KARDASHIAN: As a big sister, I`m just really protective, and for her just to be flirting with him on the phone makes me, like, sick to my
stomach.
KHLOE KARDASHIAN: Bye.
KIM KARDASHIAN: Like, I just can`t take it.
KHLOE KARDASHIAN: What can`t you take?
KIM KARDASHIAN: The fact that when he decides to come around and be friendly, you`re, like, flirting with him.
KHLOE KARDASHIAN: Flirting with him how? By answering the phone and saying hello?
KIM KARDASHIAN: You`re just way more attentive. If it was like French, you would be like --
KHLOE KARDASHIAN: Why would French and Lamar even be in the same category?
(END VIDEO CLIP)

[20:37:40] UNIDENTIFIED 911 OPERATOR: Is he conscious?
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: No.
UNIDENTIFIED 911 OPERATOR: Does he have white stuff coming out of his mouth?
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: And blood coming out of his nose.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: They also informed dispatch that he`d used up to 10 tabs of sexual performance enhancer supplements.
UNIDENTIFIED 911 OPERATOR: As far as you know, there is no cocaine since Saturday?

KHLOE KARDASHIAN: I mean, anything, I think, will set him to spiral and that`s kind of the last thing I want for him.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
GRACE: That was on E`s "Keeping Up with the Kardashians," and that was part of the segment on "Keeping UP with the Kardashians" that aired
just before Lamar Odom becomes agitated and upset, apparently showing up at the Hooker Ranch, the love ranch owned by Dennis Hof, there in Nevada with
photos of Khloe Kardashian, talking about his wife. Right now she`s beside his bedside as he is still in a coma.
You`re seeing E`s "Keeping Up with the Kardashians, interesting, even though they`re in the midst of a divorce, she is making all of the medical
decisions and legal decisions.
Chris Spargo, dailymail, isn`t it true that the other relationship where he had the two children, Lamar Odom Jr. and Destiny, weren`t they
headed to court, I think, this coming week, in a bitter battle, right? And now that woman is at the hospital, as well?
SPARGO: That`s correct, Liza Morales, who`s the mother of Destiny and Lamar Odom Jr., his two children, was about to head to court with Lamar
with questions about custody, which is just coming up and now she arrived in Las Vegas yesterday with her two children. Reportedly, though, Khloe is
the person who actually flew them so they could be with their father.
GRACE: OK. Back to Dennis Hof, owner of the Love Ranch where this whole thing went down. Were you ever contacted by the Kardashian family or
any Odom -- any family?
HOF: I was not contacted by them -- by any of them. And I was shocked that I wasn`t. You would think that they would want to know
information because I`ve got all the information. I was contacted by the publicist only.
GRACE: Wow. OK. But then how did you find out they were directing you not to come here with me?
HOF: Because the publicist asked me.
GRACE: Ah, the publicist told you.
HOF: Which shows I talked to, and I told them Nancy Grace. And they said, well, Khloe will take that. Just send all the media information for
Nancy to me, and I`ll pass it on to Khloe.
[20:40:07] GRACE: To Brad Lamm, addiction specialist and founder of Breathe Life Healing Centers, and the thing about Lamm, he`s not just an
expert, he is a former addict. You`re seeing Khloe and Lamar`s Unbreakable perfume commercial from his YouTube channel.
Brad, I`m just wondering how if there is cocaine in his blood, all right? If there is that in his blood and he`s taking 10 packs of so-called
herbal supplements for erectile dysfunction, 72 hours strong, whatever is in that, what would that do to you?
BRAD LAMM, ADDICTION SPECIALIST, FOUNDER, BREATHE LIFE HEALING CENTER: Well, the tests would come back and tell you the truth of what`s in you,
you know. It -- cocaine stays in your system for a couple of days to 10 days, depending on the severity of the binge. Most of it gets out of your
system four hours after you use it, but it stays in your urine or blood for a longer period of time, days, even a week.
You know, the real risk that it causes is along with these other drugs that said to be taking it, if you`re taking nitrates, it puts an undue
burden on the heart. So you know, you just don`t know what was in his system. You know, my heart goes out to the family, for sure, at this
moment.
GRACE: Right.
LAMM: You know, and I hope he pulls through here. But it`s -- you know, a fellow with a history of substance abuse, and, you know, I just --
I`m hoping for the best.

[20:45:45] GRACE: Live to Walton, Kentucky. Warning, graphic photos. 26-year-old Marilyn Stanley enduring multiple surgeries after she is
literally scalped alive. Reports her ex orders his pit bull to attack her, then takes a knife to her himself, leaving the blonde beauty barely alive,
ripping over 80 percent of her scalp off her head. But right now, Marilyn Stanley is with us, straight from her hospital bed after enduring yet
another surgery.

UNIDENTIFIED REPORTER: Police say Zachary Gross decided to scalp Marilyn.
UNIDENTIFIED REPORTER: Her scalp ripped off in a violent attack.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I`ve been physically in chain.
UNIDENTIFIED REPORTER: After the scalping, accused of -- his pit bull on her.
UNIDENTIFIED REPORTER: The dog ripped half her ear off.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
GRACE: Joining me right now is a very special guest, and you have heard me speak of her many times, as we covered her case, and I have asked
for your prayers for her recovery.
With me right now, 26-year-old Marilyn Stanley. We have covered her case. Marilyn, scalped alive by an ex. My first question, when you first
saw Zachary Gross that day, you got to the house. What happened?
MARILYN STANLEY, VICTIM OF ALLEGED SCALP ATTACK: So when I -- when we got there, we walked in, I went to go eat and we were eating, and that`s
when I got hit, and evidently found out it was about a Facebook post.
GRACE: So he began beating you over a Facebook post?
STANLEY: Yes.
GRACE: Do you recall the moment that Zachary Gross ordered his dog to attack you?
STANLEY: After he hit me, I ended up at some point in time in his bedroom on the floor, and I was getting bit by the dog, and that`s why I
didn`t really realize what had happened until after the fact because I just remember when my ear got bit off. Never acted that way towards me before
at all. And they`re supposed to be able to sense the situation. But in the sense of a lot of people get dogs to protect them, if there`s a quarrel
going on, that`s what a dog is going to do if you get a family dog to protect your family if somebody breaks in.
GRACE: When you finally made it to your mother`s house, when Zachary Gross dumped you out of the car near your mom`s home, do you remember
actually seeing your mother, seeing your family for the first time?
STANLEY: Yes.
GRACE: What did they do?
STANLEY: I was walking up through -- from the street to the side of the yard, and I saw my sister coming out of the front door. She was
carrying out furniture with my mom, and I just said to her, to -- I said, "Ashley, help me." And she didn`t know what to think when she turned
around and saw the blood drip from my forehead right and she freaked out and started screaming and called 911.
GRACE: How was Zachary Gross with your son? How did he treat him?
STANLEY: Never actually had any type of opportunity to build any type of relationship or anything with my son.
GRACE: Did you keep him away from your son?
STANLEY: Most definitely.
GRACE: So there was something inside of you that instinctively warned you to keep him away from your son?
[20:50:06] STANLEY: He had met him. He had been around him but not as any type of bonding or -- they didn`t really even -- they never had a
conversation. They never played. Like one time they might have tossed the football.
GRACE: The moment after the attack, Marilyn, do you recall Zachary Gross taking you to a mirror to see what he had done to you?
STANLEY: Yes.
GRACE: What mirror did he take you to?
STANLEY: The bathroom.
GRACE: And when you looked in that mirror, what did you see?
STANLEY: Like out of my side view, I could see all the red from my head and missing hair.
GRACE: Would you be afraid if he were out on bond?
STANLEY: Most definitely. There`s no way I could still be here. Like, I would have to leave and find somewhere safe to go.
GRACE: Is there anywhere safe?
STANLEY: I don`t even know where that would be because he knows everywhere. No, because he knows everybody that I talk to, and he would
just look for me.
GRACE: Do you believe he would kill you if he had the chance so you would not testify at trial?
STANLEY: Yes.
GRACE: Has he tried to contact you from the jail?
STANLEY: Most definitely not. I have not gotten a single call from any jail.
GRACE: How about his family? Have they tried to contact you?
STANLEY: No. And I don`t think they would.
GRACE: The maximum penalty, as it stands right now for second-degree assault, is only ten years. We are also petitioning the judge to increase
this to aggravated battery which would carry a larger sentence. Do you think 10 years behind bars is enough punishment?
STANLEY: Not at all. I believe that if and when he gets out of jail, he`s going to kill somebody.
GRACE: Just hard for me to believe, Marilyn, this guy has had 14 arrests, and he`s never done really hard jail time. Always just slips
through their fingers. And I`m really afraid, if he gets out on a lower bond or he gets a low sentence and he gets out, you know, in half the time,
he`s going to come looking for you. And not just you. You may be with your little boy when he gets out and comes looking. That is my fear.
STANLEY: It`s mine, too. Definitely. I hate for it to be my son`s fear, too.
GRACE: Does your son have any idea? Does he have any idea that Gross is behind bars, but he could get out?
STANLEY: No. He knows that he`s in jail, and that he never has to see him again.
GRACE: What, Marilyn, would you say to other women that are listening to your words right now?
STANLEY: I would tell other people in a similar situation that were being abused to know their self-worth and not to listen to the things that
they are told because they`re not true. And that`s what will break them down.
GRACE: Well, all I know is you`re beautiful to me, and I want to thank you for being with us.
STANLEY: Thank you.
