HAMMER: On SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, the pregnant man speaks. That`s right. I said the pregnant man. Tonight, for the first time, the man tells all to Oprah about his unbelievable decision to get pregnant and how he did it.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
THOMAS BEATIE, PREGNANT MAN: I`m a man. I just happen to be a pregnant man.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: SHOWBIZ TONIGHT with the jaw-dropping story of the man who will be a mother.
Mega Madonna news. Tonight, Madonna is opening up like never before about her sex life, plastic surgery and her fear of getting fat. Plus, a Lohan reality check. Lindsey Lohan`s mom Dina now claims she is absolutely frightened about Lindsay`s 14-year-old kid sister getting into show business. So why in the world is Dina making the kid do a reality show? Are you kidding me?
(MUSIC)
Hello, I`m A.J. Hammer, broadcast tonight and every night from New York City.
ANDERSON: Hi there, everyone. I`m Brooke Anderson coming to you from Hollywood. And tonight, there is absolute outrage over what has happened to Farrah Fawcett.
HAMMER: That`s right, Brooke. This all has to do with Farrah`s brave battle with cancer and an unbelievable invasion of Farrah`s privacy.
Plus, there she blows again. Yes, the cops called in after Naomi Campbell is accused of forgetting everything she learned in anger management classes. All of it, coming up.
ANDERSON: But, first tonight, the pregnant man speaks to Oprah. If that sounds strange -pregnant man speaks to Oprah, well - it should. But speak he did. And today, the whole world finally got to hear from the man who will become a mother.
(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)
(voice over): There are newspaper headlines you thought you`d never see. Dogs talk, aliens invade. Paris Hilton wins Nobel Prize. And man gets pregnant. Well, one of them has come true, and it is not Paris Hilton.
JO PIAZZA, "NEW YORK DAILY NEWS": Is this real? A pregnant man?
ANDERSON: It the astonishing story of Thomas Beatie, a 34-year-old man who is pregnant. Yes, we`re talking weird food cravings, kicks in the belly, barely fitting into your clothes, pregnant.
T. BEATIE: Unfortunately, they don`t make men maternity clothes.
ANDERSON: Thomas and his wife Nancy are speaking out for the first time on the "Oprah Winfrey Show" and for a photo spread in the new issue of "People" magazine. Check out the stunned looks at the "Oprah Winfrey Show" when she broke the news her first guest was a pregnant man.
OPRAH WINFREY, HOST, "THE OPRAH WINFREY SHOW": Thomas, not Nancy, is the one who is pregnant. We`ll let you take that in a minute.
ANDERSON: Thomas was born a girl named Tracy. But he tells Oprah that even back then, something wasn`t quite right.
T. BEATIE: When I woke up in the morning, I felt like a man.
ANDERSON: Thomas says met his now-wife Nancy while he was still a woman. But he later began the testosterone treatments that would make him into the man he is today.
T. BEATIE: I actually opted not to do anything with my reproductive organs because I wanted to have a child one day.
ANDERSON: And when the couple did decide to have a child, Nancy told Oprah the decision was easy.
NANCY BEATIE, THOMAS BEATIE`S WIFE: I can`t have children. They removed my womb. So I have no womb. Therefore, he does and we ran to it.
ANDERSON: One artificial insemination later, Thomas is pregnant and women everywhere are intrigued by the possibilities.
PIAZZA: I`m hoping that it`s going to become a trend. I`m hoping it catches on with men around the world.
ANDERSON: When Thomas first went public with his pregnancy, there was some skepticism from his neighbors -
UNIDENTIFIED MALE NEIGHBOR OF THOMAS BEATIE: I think it is a hoax.
ANDERSON: And even from TV commentators.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE TV COMMENTATOR: I mean how can you really tell? We need to see the guy in person and we need to see an ultrasound.
ANDERSON: Done and done. Oprah`s cameras followed the couple to their doctor`s office for the telltale proof of the pregnancy. There it is in black and white. Thomas is having a girl.
T. BEATIE: These are tears of joy. This is a miracle, and we see her as our little miracle.
ANDERSON: There`s no denying it, that`s one heck of a story.
T. BEATIE: I`m a man. I happen to be a pregnant man.
ANDERSON: And if that can happen, could a Nobel Prize for Paris be far behind?
(END VIDEOTAPE)
ANDERSON: Again, Thomas Beatie`s story appears in the new issue of "People" magazine.
HAMMER: That`s just amazing. Well, tonight, Lindsay Lohan`s mother is saying things that are making our collective heads spin. In an exclusive interview with "Access Hollywood," Dina Lohan talks about her big plans for the reality show that she`s doing with Lindsay`s kid sister, Ali and her fears for Ali which, you know, quite frankly, she may be to blame for.
Joining us from Los Angeles, "Access Hollywood.com" correspondent Laura Saltman. Laura, I appreciate you being here. "Access Hollywood" got this exclusive look right inside Lohan`s Long Island home where this reality show is set to be taped.
And as we know, there have been a lot of people including myself saying, what the heck is she doing, putting her 14-year-old kid on a reality show? Why does Dina think that this is OK?
LAURA SALTMAN, CORRESPONDENT, "ACCESS HOLLYWOOD": Well, I really believe that she wants to make her a star. Her whole thing is that she has an album she`s working on. She`s actually going to Vegas to work on the album this weekend and she wants her daughter to be a star.
She told us the reason she`s doing this reality show is because she want to get ahead of the tabloids. She knows that if she puts Ali out there, she`s going to deal with all the same problems that Lindsay - or she thinks she`s going to deal with all the same problems that Lindsay has. So she figured, "Why not have the cameras come to my house and just get ahead of all these rumors and see we`re really a normal family," whatever that may mean in their world.
HAMMER: It is such a mass of contradiction in my mind. Like you said, she wants Ali to have a successful career. She`s afraid of the tabloids at the same time. In fact, let`s listen to what Dina Lohan told "Access Hollywood" about just that.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
DINA LOHAN, LINDSAY LOHAN`S MOTHER: With the tabloids, it just had started -- Lindsay was the brink of that. So Ali now - it`s scary. I don`t want, you know - they`re already like making thing up about her.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: Laura, given what Dina just said, you would think that she wouldn`t want to do the reality show. And I would think instead, that she`d want to fiercely protect Ali at every possible moment, at least until she is a little bit older.
SALTMAN: Yes. You know, I really just get the sense though, that this family is about fame. They really want to be famous in whatever way possible. And she can say whatever she wants about putting it out there.
But I do believe that Dina`s doing this because she kind of likes the fame. She wants her daughter, Ali, to have fame the way that Lindsay does. And for them, this is the way to keep themselves in the limelight.
HAMMER: And I`m not afraid at all to say, this is one woman, Dina Lohan, whom I honestly have just never understood. And this just sort of piles it on a little bit more for me.
I`ve got to tell you one thing that really stood out to me - Ali not looking like a 14-year-old these days. She`s looking very mature. She wears a lot of make-up. "Access Hollywood" still found out that despite that, that Ali still collects Barbie dolls.
Can you help us make a little sense of this? Because I don`t know about you but this makes me a little more than scared for her.
SALTMAN: Well, you know, it`s not like she`s sitting her room with her Barbie dolls and goes like, "Hi, my name is Ken. My name is Barbie." I mean she has a collection of Barbie dolls that are displayed and they`re still in their boxes which they have more value that way. So she`s not playing with them. She just does collect them and she collects other dolls as well.
I mean she is just a 14-year-old kid. Even though she dresses that way and she, you know, wears all that make-up, she at least tries to be a kid. So I actually think it`s a good thing that she does this.
HAMMER: Oh, I think it`s great thing that she tries to be a kid. At the same time, you`ve got to grow up real fast when you`re constantly, you know, in the limelight. And your mom is putting what seems to me to be like a lot of pressure.
And I`ve got to ask you, with all that Lindsay has been through - older sister. Lindsay has been in jail. She`s been in rehab. Do you think, at least, Dina will try to have a tighter leash on Ali?
SALTMAN: I would hope so. But she did tell us that she wants to let Ali live her life and she knows that she`s going to make mistakes and she doesn`t want to hold on to her too tightly.
You know, personally, I think that`s probably not the right idea, but that is the way their family is. I want to tell that you Ali actually had a lot of problems in school with some kids making fun of her, so they actually took her out of school and are now homeschooling her.
HAMMER: I hope there`s some other guidance coming to Ali`s way in addition to mom. Laura Saltman, I do appreciate you being with us. Thanks so much.
ANDERSON: And now, we want to hear from you. It is our SHOWBIZ TONIGHT question of the day - "Dina Lohan`s Reality Show: Is she exploiting her daughter?" Vote at CNN.com/ShowbizTonight E-mail us showbiztonight@cnn.com.
And coming up at 30 past the hour, our fired-up panel is going to tear into this. Is Dinah Lohan a total hypocrite? Is she going too far with this show? You do not want to miss that.
You know, I think Madonna has done a great job of keeping her daughter, Lourdes, out of the spotlight. Tonight, you`ve got to hear Madonna open up about her sex life with husband Guy Richie, plastic surgery, and her fears about getting fat. That`s coming up.
Also this -
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
JENNY MCCARTHY, ACTRESS: Look, it`s plain and simple. It`s (EXPLETIVE DELETED).
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: No, it`s -
MCCARTHY: Yes, it is.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: Jenny McCarthy`s all fired up. She insists her son became autistic because of the vaccines he got. You`ve got to see her take these doctors on. And I tell you, it`s a really heated debate. It is coming up.
ANDERSON: OK. I`d love to know what stars make but the really juicy stuff is how they fence their millions. You won`t believe what Brangelina, Jay-Z and Beyonce, and Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban do with their cash. That is straight ahead.
(COMMERCIAL BREAK)
ANDERSON: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, TV`s most provocative entertainment news show. I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood.
Tonight, mega news from Madonna about everything from her sex life to whether she would have plastic surgery to her fear of being fat.
Joining me tonight in Hollywood, Michael Yo, host of "Yo on E!" heard on XM and Sirius satellite radio. Also, Dana Devin, co-host of the TV show "Extra."
Dana, Michael, great to see you both. You look ready to chat Madonna. And hey, in the new U.K. issue of "Elle" magazine, Madonna reveals that she wrote her new song, "Incredible" as a tribute to her husband Guy Richie saying, quote - listen to this, "Sex with Guy is incredible and surprise, surprise, it`s his favorite song on the album. Actually, maybe it`s not his favorite song but it`s definitely his favorite line."
Now, the line that she`s referring to is, "Sex with you is incredible." Michael, will this put to rest all those rumors that their marriage is in trouble?
MICHAEL YO, HOST, "YO ON E!": You know what? I talked to Madonna the other day. And she basically told me it is all about compromise. Yes, marriage is tough. You know, sometimes she has a deal. Sometimes he has the deal.
I don`t think it was ever a problem but you`ve got to remember, this song was recorded probably about eight months ago when they started the album. So this has nothing to do with the rumors right now about Madonna`s marriage being on the rocks.
ANDERSON: Well, hopefully things are still going well in the bedroom and that`s a sign of a healthy marriage.
YO: Yes, it is.
ANDERSON: Yes. And you know, Madonna also opened up about turning 50 years old in August and her fear of getting fat, saying, quote, "I`m not going to be defined by my age, why would any woman? I`m not going to slow down, get off this ride, stay home and get fat. No way, I would never get fat."
Dana, are you surprised at all about how Madonna seems to be a little paranoid about getting fat? Every 50-year-old woman in America would kill to look like her.
DANA DEVIN, CO-HOST, "EXTRA": No, I`m not surprised at all. I mean woman to woman, Brooke, I mean we all - you know, all of us that make our living on television, I think we all have that fear.
And I actually like that Madonna was being honest. She seemed more human to me that she has, you know, the same insecurities and fears that all women have. And, you know, I like also that she said, "There is no shortcuts. There`s no tricks. There`s just discipline." And that really does seem to define her in more ways than one.
ANDERSON: Yes. A lot of people can relate to these same concerns and struggles. That`s a great point. And Madonna speaking about her appearance, she is also asked about possibly having plastic surgery. And she says, quote, "I`m not against plastic surgery. I`m just against discussing it." Michael, that sounds like a definite maybe to me.
YO: You know what? Here`s the thing. Who cares if she has plastic surgery? She`s 50 years old. The thing that gets me is when young Hollywood gets plastic surgery. You`re 18 and getting a nose job? I mean that`s the problem. When you`re older, yes, if you can afford plastic surgery, do it. Have fun with it.
ANDERSON: Exactly. Dana, you know, if it makes you feel better and at her age, it is her prerogative. But do I want to ask you this. Why do you think Madonna is now being so open about these issues?
DEVIN: You know, I think she`s older now and she doesn`t feel like she has to put up such a wall between her and the public. And I think she feels like "Hey, look. It is not that bad to be honest."
And I do think she`s a lot more spiritual than she used to be and I think she feels like she can share more of herself. But it`s probably just that time for her and she feels like, you know, "This is who I am and if you don`t like it, too bad."
ANDERSON: Too bad. She is never afraid to speak her mind. We know that.
YO: Exactly.
ANDERSON: Michael Yo, Dana Devin, thank you both for joining us.
YO: Thank you.
HAMMER: Well, Brooke, I`ve got to tell you. So much has changed since Britney Spears and Madonna shared that little kiss at the MTV Video Music Awards a couple years back. With her dad now helping her to keep on track, Britney might be ready for a big turn around. Well, tonight, Britney is reunited with her old manager. And coming up next, he is revealing if he thinks Brit can really make a comeback.
And then there`s Dina Lohan, Lindsay`s mom. I`ve got to tell you, I just don`t get this woman. Tonight, she says that she is afraid to let Lindsay`s little sis, Ali, get all caught up in Hollywood. So can somebody please tell me why the heck she is putting her in a reality show? I`ve got a fired-up panel really to tear into this. Coming up.
ANDERSON: A.J., I don`t know about that either. But I do love to know what stars make and how they spend their millions of dollars. You will not believe what Brangelina, Jay-Z and Beyonce, and Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban do with their cash. That is coming up. You don`t want to miss it.
(COMMERCIAL BREAK)
HAMMER: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York. Tonight, Britney Spears` former manager is speaking out for the very first time about his recent reunion with Britney.
And wait until you hear what he has to say about her career comeback. He spoke with "Extra" co-host Dana Devin and Dana is back with us from Hollywood. As is Michael You, host of "Yo on E!" heard on XM and Sirius satellite radio.
So to remind everybody, Larry Rudolph is basically the guy who ran so much of Britney`s career and got her to go to rehab a year ago. Now, Dana, when he spoke with you about his new upcoming reality show about "Rock the Cradle" on MTV, you asked him what his thoughts were on Britney. And let`s play what he had to say.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
LARRY RUDOLPH, FORMER MANAGER OF BRITNEY SPEARS: People love her. You know, they really love her and I think people understand what she`s been through at this point. And they - you know, people want to see her come back. I think she - you know, she`ll get it together and I think she`ll have a huge career again. I think she`s going to make, you know, the biggest comeback in history.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: The biggest comeback in history. Now, a lot of people are pulling for it, Dana, but is it a bit premature, do you think, for Rudolph to say that, seeing how a lot of people don`t share his enthusiasm right now?
DEVIN: Well, you know, absolutely. And even he says it is premature to really start thinking about that. He says she is doing the absolute best thing right now. She`s at home. She`s taking a lot of personal time. She`s not thinking professionally at all. She`s calm. She`s settled down.
And by the way, he says her father, Jamie Spears, is doing a fantastic job with her and is a tremendous influence. So it`s a little bit premature, but he says, the potential is, for sure, there.
HAMMER: Well, exactly to your point. You know, we`ve all been encouraged by Britney`s recent change and that is thanks in large part to her dad taking control. Michael Yo, what do you think? Is Larry possibly the final piece of the puzzle that maybe she needs to get back in her life to get her career back on track?
YO: Absolutely 100 percent. Larry Rudolph is a genius. He found Britney Spears in Louisiana and we all know the madness that went on after that with Britney Spears. He is the perfect key to this. But Jamie Spears is also a big key to this.
The thing about the biggest comeback, Britney Spears doesn`t have to do much to make the biggest comeback in history. All she has to do is stay clean, and stay out of trouble for the next two years, get back in shape and come out with a solid album. And she`s made the biggest comeback. It`s going to be bigger than Mariah Carey, absolutely.
HAMMER: Yes? You think so?
YO: Absolutely.
HAMMER: Bigger than Mariah?
YO: 100 percent.
HAMMER: All right. That would be something else, because Mariah did a pretty huge turn in her own life. Dana, you kind of alluded to how you felt about this. And we heard Larry`s words, but when you actually were sitting there with him, what kind of sense did you get from him? Was his optimism really quite cautious or is he definitely feeling it that she has turned the corner?
DEVIN: You know, that`s such a good question. And while I was sitting with Larry, the thing you get from him is he really genuinely cares about her. He`s been with her since she was 13 years old. I mean feels like she is almost his child and he aches for her seeing her go through all this.
And I think that he really has her best interests at heart. He is not one of these people that just hope to get something from her. And so I think he really, really truly loves and wants to help her. And even so far as if he is not the best person for her, he would totally pull himself out of the equation.
HAMMER: Wow. Wouldn`t it be nice for her to not have somebody who`s trying to exploit her - another person. That`s great.
DEVIN: Exactly.
HAMMER: Dana Devin and Michael Yo, I do appreciate you being with us. And for the latest breaking Britney news and video, check out the Britney Drama section of our Web site. New stuff going up all the time for you to watch at CNN.com/ShowbizTonight.
All right. I am a big car buff. I know that Jerry Seinfeld is, too. But tonight, I`ve got to tell you about a very scary accident that Jerry got into while he was driving one of his classic cars. I`ll tell you what happened next.
ANDERSON: All right. I cannot believe what Dina Lohan, Lindsay Lohan`s mom, is doing. She says she is terrified to let Lindsay`s teen sister, Ali, get too caught up in showbiz. But at the same time, she`s throwing Ali into a reality show. What in the world is she thinking?
Also this -
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
MCCARTHY: Look, it`s plain and simple. It`s (EXPLETIVE DELETED).
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: No, it`s -
MCCARTHY: Yes, it is.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
ANDERSON: Jenny McCarthy is all fired up. She insists her son became autistic because of the vaccines he received. You`ve got to see her take on these doctors. I`ll tell you this is a debate that so many people can relate to. It`s coming up right here on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. Stay with us.
(COMMERCIAL BREAK)
HAMMER: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York. Here are some stories that are new right now.
Talk about the unfriendly skies. Supermodel Naomi Campbell is being a super pain in the butt again. Now this time, she apparently flipped out on the British Airways flight at Heathrow airport in London. She allegedly spit on a police officer and was arrested. Now, you may remember, Naomi actually at mop force here in New York City as received punishment for throwing a cellphone at her maid.
A frightening car crash for Jerry Seinfeld. Jerry was driving one of his collector cars in the Hamptons in Long Island, New York when his brakes failed. He swerved his 1967 Fiat to avoid an intersection and he flipped the car. His publicist tells us that Jerry was only driving about five miles an hour and he walked away without a scratch.
Well, it looks like Jay-Z is getting hitched and I`m not talking about Beyonce here whom he just reportedly got a marriage license with. Jay is reportedly hooking up in a big way with concert promoter, Live Nation, which also has deals in place with Madonna and U2. Jay`s $150-million contract would cover albums, concerts, talent management and more. The venture would be called "Rock Nation."
ANDERSON: A.J. that`s a huge chunk of change for Jay-Z. But do you know what I would like to know? How do stars - star couples like Jay-Z and Beyonce, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban spend their millions? You will not believe what they do with their cash. That`s coming up.
HAMMER: Well, I can`t believe what Dina Lohan, Lindsay`s mom, is doing for cash. Dina says she is terrified to let Lindsay`s teen sister, Ali, get all caught up in showbiz. But at the same time, you know, she is now throwing Ali into a reality show. What in the world is she thinking? That is coming up next.
ANDERSON: And another startling story of snooping in stars` medical records. This is time, the victim is Farrah Fawcett. I think this is especially terrible because Farrah is fighting cancer. And what`s even more shocking it happened at this very same hospital before. Stick around for this.
HAMMER: But first, you can always stay on top of the most provocative entertainment news with our daily SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsletter. Just head on over to CNN.com/ShowbizTonight. Click on the "sign up for newsletter" link. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT coming right back.

Farrah Fawcett`s medical nightmare. A hospital worker in big trouble for looking at Farrah`s medical records without authorization. Tonight, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT with the unbelievable story of how Farrah`s private battle made it into the headlines.

HAMMER: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. It is 30 minutes past the hour. I`m A.J. Hammer, broadcasting tonight and every night from New York City.
ANDERSON: And I`m Brooke Anderson, coming to you from Hollywood tonight. This is TV`s most provocative news show.
HAMMER: Well, tonight, we`ve got a Lohan family reality check. Dina Lohan, Lindsay`s mom, is opening up about her upcoming new reality show called, "Living Lohan" and she insists this show is the only way to launch her 14-year-old daughter Ali`s career.
But at the same time, she says she is worried about what show business is going to do to Ali. I`m sorry, I`m so confused. That`s why I brought a couple of people along to help me out here.
Joining me tonight in New York, host of "In Session," Lisa Bloom. And in Hollywood, author of "Secrets Can Be Murder" and investigative journalist, Jane Velez-Mitchell.
Jane, Lisa, we know Dina has been getting her butt kicked over the idea of putting her 14-year-old daughter Ali in a reality show about their life. And in an exclusive interview that she gave to "Access Hollywood", Dina says her one fear about Ali getting into showbiz is the tabloids. Watch what she says.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
D. LOHAN: What the tabloids - it just had started. Lindsay was the brink of that. So Ali now - it is scary. I don`t want, you know, them - They`re already like making things up about her.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: OK. Jane, let me start with you and may I begin by stating the obvious, please? Wouldn`t that be the exact reason that they should fiercely protect her 14-year-old child from the spotlight? Dina should keep Ali away from the tabloids so she is not the subject of rumors and do that by not putting her on TV?
JANE VELEZ-MITCHELL, INVESTIGATIVE JOURNALIST: She admitted it herself, A.J., it`s scary. That means she knows she`s making a bad decision. Obviously, reality shows are fodder for the tabloids because they invite the entire world into an area of the star`s life that is normally considered private.
And we`ve seen that there is a terrible track record with parent-child reality shows. Look at the tragedy involving Anna Nicole Smith`s son. They were on a reality show together. Look at the terrible jam that Hulk Hogan`s son is in. He was in a reality show with his dad. So it`s a bad idea, especially for a 14-year-old girl. That is the most impressionable age and it creates all sorts of psychological confusion about what is reality and what isn`t.
We know reality shows aren`t reality. They`re a huge crew setting up lights and cameras, and they`re saying, Act normal. Pretend we`re not here."
HAMMER: You know, the only reason I understand that this is actually going on is because, as I`ve said before, I`ve never really understood Dina Lohan and where the heck she is coming from. Lisa, can you explain this disconnect to me?
LISA BLOOM, HOST, "IN SESSION": Well, you know, I can understand if she says, "My daughter wants to be in showbiz. I`m going to do anything I can to help her. She`s 14; she can make those kinds of decisions."
But there`s a difference between showbiz and reality shows and putting cameras in the home where a 14-year-old is living. So I agree with Jane. I mean I think about my two teenagers. And look, they are, of course, perfect children, but occasionally, they might have a temper tantrum. They might have a mood swing. You don`t want a camera in there recording that. I don`t think parents should even have the right to consent to have a camera in the home when there are children in that home.
HAMMER: Which makes us wonder why - why is she doing this? We have a little insight here or maybe we have a clue based on past behavior from Dina. Because this is how Dina put it to the "New York Post." She was forced to do this "Living Lohan" show because she felt that was the only way to get ahead of the rumors about her and her family. To that I say, you`ve got to be kidding me.
We know that that`s not the real reason she`s doing this. Jane, what do you think? Is it not necessarily to launch her own daughter Ali`s career but to extend her own, Dina`s, 15 minutes of fame? That`s what I think.
VELEZ-MITCHELL: Of course it is. Oh, I mean they`re twisting her arm. Listen, I grew up around showbiz people so I have a little bit of experience with stage mothers. Generally, they are women who wanted to be famous themselves and it wasn`t in the cards, so they decided to live vicariously through their children.
And now, Dina gets to have her cake and eat it. Not only does she get to live vicariously through her kids, but she gets to be star herself. I think that`s just overwhelmingly tempting to her and it really overwhelms her better judgment as a parent.
And it`s also very bad, I think, to be a mom and a manager. I mean children crave more than anything, unconditional love and once you bring in business into the equation, I think it taints that unconditional love and it can be very unhealthy psychologically.
HAMMER: Yes. I mean what do you think, Lisa Bloom? Is this anything less than exploitation so Dina can extend her own 15 minutes of fame?
BLOOM: Well, it does sound like exploitation to me. And think about Ali. This is a girl who`s being homeschooled. Why? Because she can`t take the pressure and the attention she`s getting in a normal school. So this is already a girl who`s having some problems. So we`re going to bring a camera into the home and record her every move and her private moments?
You know, a home should be a refuge for a teenager.
HAMMER: Yes.
BLOOM: It should be a place you where can go - you can let your hair down. You don`t have to have makeup on. You don`t have to look good. You can vent. You can be emotional if you need to. She`s not going to have that available to her. God forbid she ends up like Lindsay. That`s going to be on Dina`s shoulder.
HAMMER: Yes, well, that`s exactly - You know, why would she want to, given what Lindsay has been through. But Ali has actually said that she wants fame so badly.
Here`s what she told "Teen Vogue," "I want it so bad, so bad you don`t even know and now it`s actually happening. It`s just a really good feeling to have." Jane, she has seen the worst of fame firsthand here. It just makes me frightened for her.
VELEZ-MITCHELL: Well, she`s 14 and that`s what 14-year-olds want. And 14- year-olds are a reflection of society in general. They mirror our values and we live in a celebrity-obsessed culture where fame and good looks and money seem to trump everything. So let`s not be shocked.
BLOOM: But you know what`s the most important? What`s most important is the parents. And not every 14-year-old wants fame. Some want to have to talent.
HAMMER: This is true.
BLOOM: Some want to have intelligence. Some want to have skills. And if you come up in a family where fame is everything, of course, that`s what you want.
(CROSS TALK)
HAMMER: I`ve got to jump in there, Lisa. I`m sorry, I`ve got to jump in because I`m totally out of time. But hopefully, Dina can find her way through this.

HAMMER: And star couples who are really cashing in. Man, we have the numbers that are going to make you reel. Who is making what? And what are they spending it on? It is going to blow your mind. Stick around for that, coming up next on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.
(COMMERCIAL BREAK)
ANDERSON: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, TV`s most provocative entertainment news show. I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood. Tonight, you are going to be absolutely amazed when we tell you how much money the biggest star couples in Hollywood make and what they spend it on. The new issue of "People" magazine has all the unbelievable details.
With us tonight in New York is "People`s" staff editor, David Caplan. David, great to see you.
DAVID CAPLAN, STAFF EDITOR, "PEOPLE" MAGAZINE: Thank you.
ANDERSON: And I want to start with Beyonce and Jay-Z who "People.com" reports just took out a marriage license, so these are happy folks. And to compound that, Jay-Z made an estimated $115 million last year; Beyonce, $54 million for a grand total of $169 million.
Wow! David, tell me where some of that money is going. Vacations, cars? A mind-boggling what? Harrod`s shopping spree in London?
CAPLAN: Well, these two definitely know how to live. They spend their money on vacations. They love to go to Saint Barths(ph). They love to go to Saint Tropez. They go to the best hotels. They stay in these great yachts.
Beyonce also mentions that last year, she went to Harrod`s in London. And instead of trying on an item here or there, she had everything sent to her hotel so she could try it on as well. And in fact, Jay-Z loves to pamper Beyonce. He bought her a $1-million Rolls Royce for her birthday. It`s a pretty nice gift.
ANDERSON: Oh, yes. They spare no expense. OK. Moving on to the next couple. You know, while Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban don`t make as much as Beyonce and Jay-Z, hey, they aren`t chopped liver, David. She made an estimated $32 million; Keith, $35 million, a total of $67 million.
You know, a lot of people would blow it out, live the high life. But they live a pretty simple life, don`t they?
CAPLAN: Oh, absolutely. Nicole and Keith - they don`t spend a lot of their money on extravagant, lavish items. You know, sure, they`re building a house in Tennessee where they`re obviously are going to raise her child. But other than that, they`re very low key.
They enjoy time, sort of spending time barbecuing with their friends. It is often that you`ll see Keith and Nicole running off to a Starbucks. These are people who don`t spend that much money. So it`s very different from other Hollywood celebrities.
ANDERSON: Yes, they like to keep a quiet life. You can`t blame them for that. And then there is Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez. He made an estimated $11 million last year; she made $20 million. Their grand total is over $31 million. David, we know Marc and Jennifer are into extravagant jewelry, clothes, luxury cars. But now it is all about their twins, isn`t it? That`s their priority.
CAPLAN: Oh, definitely. Jennifer and Marc`s perspective has completely changed. Before, Jennifer loved to pamper herself. But now, they`re spending all their money - a lot of their money on these nurseries that they have at their home in Los Angeles, in Long Island, New York, and in Miami.
And these nurseries have very lavish furniture, the cribs and all the items. The sheets, for example, are satin. It is very high quality stuff. So that`s where the Lopez-Anthony fortune is going right now - those two adorable twins.
ANDERSON: Yes, and they won`t have to worry that their college funds, I`m sure about that.
The next big star couple making a mint, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. He made an estimated $35 million last year; she, $20 million, that`s $55 million. David, we know they have homes all over the United States. They also live around the world, too. But they are giving away a great deal of their money to charity, aren`t they?
CAPLAN: Hey, these are Hollywood`s most notorious do-gooders. In fact, in 2006, between two of them, they gave out a little over $8 million to charities. And you know, they`re very strong to proponents of anti-poverty groups, groups that work with AIDS and kids. And just interestingly, Angelina gave $4.1 million and Brad gave $4.4 million. So he`s beating her out a little bit.
ANDERSON: Yes. Very admirable of them to give back so much. And no mortgage worries for these couples. David Caplan, thank you so much. Good to see you.
CAPLAN: Thank you.
ANDERSON: And if you want to read more about how Hollywood couples are making and spending their fortunes, you can pick up a copy of "People" magazine on newsstands, Friday.
HAMMER: Well, a hospital worker is in big trouble for snooping at Farrah Fawcett`s records about her cancer treatment. I`ve got to tell you, I think it`s just disgusting that this is how the tabloids may be getting their information. And she isn`t the only star that had her records looked at. That is coming up.
We will also have this -

MCCARTHY: Look, it`s plain and simple. It`s (EXPLETIVE DELETED).
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: No it`s -
MCCARTHY: Yes, it is!
HAMMER: Jenny McCarthy faces off with doctors about her son`s autism. I`ve got to tell you, it was a pretty heated exchange. And Jenny really held her ground. Jenny`s passionate battle, coming up on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. You don`t want to miss it.
(COMMERCIAL BREAK)
ANDERSON: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m Brooke Anderson. Tonight, you are going to be outraged when you hear what happened to Farrah Fawcett. The "L.A Times" is reporting that somebody snooped on Farrah Fawcett`s cancer file at the UCLA Medical Center.
Joining me again tonight in Hollywood, Jane Velez-Mitchell and in New York, Lisa Bloom, host of "In Session" on Tru TV.
Ladies, when the world`s first learned from the "National Enquirer" that Farrah had cancer, she had not even had a chance to tell her family and friends. It`s believed somebody in the hospital leaked that information to the "Enquirer." Jane, is this just outrageous?
VELEZ-MITCHELL: It`s absolutely outrageous, Brooke. It`s traumatic enough to get diagnosed with cancer under the best of circumstances. But imagine, you haven`t even told your son or your close friends and then you read about it in the "National Enquirer."
And there seems to be a particular problem with UCLA Medical Center because this is the same place where two dozen staffers were allegedly snooping on Britney Spears and they have since been disciplined and/or fired.
So what is going on with their computer records? Because according to "The L.A. Times," they said they were monitoring Farrah Fawcett`s records to make sure that they weren`t being snooped on by somebody who had no business in there.
And then after the "Enquirer" story ran, they went back in and they found some violations. So I think they need to revamp their computer system big time.
ANDERSON: Well, and you mentioned Britney Spears. That happened recently that her records were breached.
And I want to read to you the statement that came late today to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT from Farrah Fawcett`s attorney saying, quote, "Because Farrah Fawcett has suffered this outrageous and painful breach of her privacy, many others will benefit from the reforms that surely will be instituted." Lisa Bloom, what is taking so long for these reforms?
BLOOM: Well, there`s a Chinese expression, "A fish rots at the head." I think the problem`s at top at UCLA. I know they fired a number of employees over this. That`s great.
We need to look at the top. We need to look at management at UCLA and find out why there seems to be such a security breach. Why they are so lax and why nobody at the top is getting fired over this. It is outrageous and it`s got to stop.
ANDERSON: Yes, it`s despicable. Jane, what do you think? Should other celebrities also be concerned to go to the hospital, go to a doctor for fear that everybody will know their private information?
VELEZ-MITCHELL: Not just celebrities - everybody. I had a doctor at a cocktail party tell me, "If you think nobody is snooping on your files or anybody else`s files when they go to the hospital, you`re kidding yourself." So obviously, it`s an essential human curiosity and medical staffers are not immune to that. They are not some kind of god-like figures and they succumb to these terrible urges to do something inappropriate.
ANDERSON: You should be able to trust your medical facility, your doctor. Lisa, very quickly, why this sudden rash of leaked information? What has changed? Because we know celebrities have been going to the hospitals for years.
BLOOM: Well, there`s 24/7 interest in celebrity stories. It`s not that there`s anything wrong with that. But it`s the hospital`s responsibility not to leak this stuff. I`d also like to see some criminal sanctions if this repeats. I mean this is outrageous. And we are all entitled to privacy of our medical records.
ANDERSON: Sure thing. Lisa Bloom, Jane Velez-Mitchell, we will leave it there for now. Thank you both.
HAMMER: Coming up, Jenny McCarthy`s passionate face-off with doctors about her son`s autism.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
JENNY MCCARTHY: Look, it`s plain and simple. It`s (EXPLETIVE DELETED).
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: No it`s -
MCCARTHY: Yes, it is!
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: I`ve got to say, I give Jenny a lot of credit. She really stood her ground, disagreeing with doctors who are trying to tell her that she is wrong about what she knows about her own son`s health. It`s crazy. You`ve got to stick around to hear this exchange. It is coming up next on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.
HAMMER: First, here`s a look at what`s new at the movies this weekend, brought to you by Yo-Plait, Yo-Plus. Opening up on Friday, George Clooney and Renee Zellweger star in the sports-themed romantic comedy "Leatherheads." Clooney also directed the movie.
If you are in the mood for a horror movie, Jena Malone stars in "The Ruins." This is about a Cancun vacation that takes a very wrong turn.
And also on Friday, Jodie Foster and Abigail Breslin in the family- friendly adventure movie, "Nim`s Island." And that is what is new at the movies this weekend, Yo-Plait, Yo-Plus. Try it for 10 days and feel the difference. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT is coming straight back. Do not go anywhere.
(COMMERCIAL BREAK)
ANDERSON: Thank you, Will. Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, TV`s most provocative entertainment news show. I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood.
Tonight, Jenny McCarthy`s passionate fight. Jenny McCarthy`s son has autism. And on World Autism Day, she was on "LARRY KING LIVE" facing down the doctors. She is on a crusade to get the CDC and the medical community to re-evaluate how many vaccinations babies get these days and the toxins that are in them.
Some doctors say there is no link between vaccines and autism. But many parents are sure they are problem. And Jenny really got into it with the doctors. Take a look.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: But the financial -
MCCARTHY: But the increase is ridiculous, you guys. Look. It`s plain and simple. It`s (EXPLETIVE DELETED).
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: No, it isn`t.
MCCARTHY: Yes, it is.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Excuse me.
MCCARTHY: Too many shots, too soon.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Let`s bring it down a notch here for a second, OK? When we look at autism, 75 percent of kids with autism, there is demonstrated change that the child has in the first year of life before they get to this period when they`re getting the measles - mumps, German measles vaccine.
MCCARTHY: Give my son the measles. I`ll take that way over autism any day.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: But that is not the option.
(CROSS TALK)
(END VIDEO CLIP)
ANDERSON: She wasn`t backing down. She is pretty amazing. Jenny McCarthy also announced that she and her boyfriend Jim Carrey are going to lead a march in Washington for autism awareness; that happens June 4.
HAMMER: Good for you, Jenny. I`m glad you`re speaking out about that. Well, on Wednesday, we told about both Madonna and Mariah Carey breaking Elvis Presley`s records with their new singles. And we asked to you vote on our SHOWBIZ TONIGHT question of the day. Here`s what we want to know - "Madonna and Mariah Top Elvis: Are they greater than the king?" It went pretty much as I expected it would go at 14 percent of you saying yes; 86 percent of you said no.
A lot of E-mails came in on the subject, too. We heard from Peggy in Iowa. Peggy writes, "Even though Madonna and Mariah Carey have good songs, no one is better than the king."
We also heard from Karen in New York who writes, "The girls may have tied Elvis in record sales but they will never come close to him in relevance, longevity or even the ability to generate money after passing away." And that is probably true.
And that is it for SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. Thank you so much for watching. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York.
ANDERSON: I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood. Hey, remember, you can always catch SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on the 11:00s - 11:00 p.m. Eastern, 11:00 p.m. Pacific, and in the morning, 11:00 a.m. Eastern. The latest from CNN "HEADLINE NEWS" is next.
