HAMMER: Hello. I`m A.J. Hammer, broadcasting tonight and every night from New York City.

ANDERSON: Hi, there, everyone. I`m Brooke Anderson, coming to you from Hollywood. And tonight, what`s the deal with Beyonce and Jay-Z? Are they married or not? Was there really a wedding or not? And if there was a wedding, why the big secret? Plus, could marriage be a big mistake for them? SHOWBIZ TONIGHT breaking it all down for you, coming up.

HAMMER: But first tonight, woops, sorry, Eva. Hey, talk about making a mistake. So maybe you heard the one about how the husband of "Desperate Housewives" star Eva Longoria supposedly cheated on her with a woman that he met on their wedding night.

Well, not only has it turned out to not be true, but it`s also led to an embarrassing apology from the news agency that spread the claim in the first place. Tonight, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT is getting to the bottom of the affair that wasn`t.

(voice over): They may be beautiful, super nice and very successful, but "Desperate Housewives" star Eva Longoria-Parker and her husband, NBA star Tony Parker, are sending a message to anyone tempted to spread false rumors about them. Don`t mess with the Parkers.

ALICIA QUARLES, ASSOCIATED PRESS: I think Eva channeled a page from Gabrielle Solis, her character on "Desperate Housewives." Because Gabby would not have accepted this, and neither did Eva.

HAMMER: It`s been less than six months since celebrity gossip site, "X17online.com," posted not one, but a series of reports where a French model, Alexandra Paressant, claimed that Tony Parker scored with her. Now, the Web site is saying, "Woops! My bad."

QUARLES: "X17" issued an apology which never happened, so Eva and Tony came out victorious.

HAMMER: Now, not only is "X17" saying Tony didn`t have sex with his accuser, it adds the two never met. In a statement, the Web site says, "X13online.com" and "X17, Inc." regret having been misled by Ms. Paressant and her representatives and apologize to Mr. Parker for any damage or inconvenience this may have cause him or his wife."

QUARLES: To go from saying, "We`ve got text messages. And she was Tony`s lover right after he got married," to saying the two actually never met, that was a big (UNINTELLIGIBLE) moment for "X17."

HAMMER: So why the sudden apology to the Parkers? Did "X17" feel an attack of conscience or journalistic ethics or maybe "X17`s" collective heart just grew three sizes larger, just like the Grinch. No, it was probably that $40 million lawsuit Tony Parker filed against "X17" over the story.

EVA LONGORIA-PARKER, "DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES" STAR: This particular incident was like a little too far and so false that Tony felt like, "OK, that`s enough."

HAMMER: Shortly after the lawsuit was filed, Eva Longoria-Parker told SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, the Parkers mean business.

LONGORIA-PARKER: He really wanted to, you know, straighten the record and find this person because there can`t be anybody not held accountable.

HAMMER: Alicia Quarles from the Associated Press tells SHOWBIZ TONIGHT dealing with this report so soon after their wedding must have been torture for the celebrity lovebirds.

QUARLES: Definitely, they had a spiritual and then the whole world coming down on you saying that your husband allegedly cheated with somebody who he met at your wedding. I mean that`s a hard thing to deal with.

HAMMER: Now, sources tell SHOWBIZ TONIGHT "X17`s" statement effectively settled the lawsuit. But when Eva talked to us during the scandal, she suggested an apology would be cold comfort.

LONGORIA-PARKER: Even if they do a retraction or whatever, you know, the damage is done.

HAMMER: It all goes to show that painful, half-baked rumors that spread like wildfire are just part of the high price of fame.

HAMMER: All right. So everything might be settled, apology is accepted. But I would have to imagine that Eva and Tony are still furious.

Joining me now from Hollywood, Jane Velez-Mitchell, investigative journalist and author of "Secrets Can Be Murder." And in Hollywood as well, Howard Bragman, the founder of Fifteen Minutes Public Relations.

Howard, let me start off with you. Does an apology really do any good? And hardly an emphatic one here when this story is already so out there.

HOWARD BRAGMAN, FOUNDER, FIFTEEN MINUTES PUBLIC RELATIONS: Well, first of all, I`m proud of our own show that we`re addressing this and saying it`s false because we certainly spent time when the rumors were out there. But, you know, accusations always get a lot more attention than the truth, and we`re in a society that just loves these accusations. And I think it`s too little, too late.

And I think Eva Longoria`s right, the damage has been done. And it`s probably not enough. I bet there`s some sort of financial settlement to go along with this apology that they ran today.

HAMMER: Yes, I would have a feeling it`s not just the fact that they put the statement on the website. But to your point, you know, we have to be realistic about the fact that the story of Tony`s alleged affair has been floating around for months now; more than four. "X17" really did try to sneak this one under the radar over the weekend. You know, nobody really paying attention. They didn`t even issue a statement; they just posted it on their Web site. And I really hate to say it, but this is now, as opposed to the initial rumors, this is just a one-day story. So Jane, damage done, right?

JANE VELEZ-MITCHELL, INVESTIGATIVE JOURNALIST: Absolutely. She said it herself. I mean this began during a crucial time in their relationship, their honeymoon period. And all of a sudden, they have to deal with all these vicious rumors of infidelity.

Sexual intimacy is really about trust. And if these rumors damaged that, created doubt, created suspicion within their marriage, that had to be very, very difficult on a practical level.

They go out all the time. He`s going to run into beautiful women wherever he goes. Every time he looks at one, the tongues start wagging, "Is he giving her the eye? Is he hugging her for a millisecond too long?" So it really is a horrible thing.

But I think the good thing is, it appears that they got through this as a team together. And in that sense, it might actually strengthen their marriage. If they were put to this terrible test right at the start and they got through it, it might mean they`ve really got something strong there.

HAMMER: It really is interesting to look at a situation like this, sort of in hindsight, because, for instance, when the story was floating around, we had to sit down with Eva and ask her about it and take time away from her promoting whatever movie she was promoting, because it had to be talked about. Howard, is it possible at all to quantify how much damage has been done to both Tony and Eva`s - not just their reputation, but also their relationship?

BRAGMAN: Well, if you can quantify - yes, I`m sure some lawyer is quantify just about any damage. I`m pretty comfortable with that. And there was - there was time spent with lawyers, time spent with PR people. The emotional distress - somehow our attorney friends seem to be able to quantify that.

So yes, there was real damage done in dollars, real damage done in emotion. And I still wonder about this French model. I mean as we talked about earlier on the show, claiming that you had a relationship is really kind of twisted out there, isn`t it?

HAMMER: Yes. Oh, yes.

BRAGMAN: Speaking of damage.

HAMMER: And it happens all the time, sadly enough. Howard Bragman, Jane Velez-Mitchell, I thank you both.

But tonight, I want to know why was the ceremony so hush-hush and will marriage change these two? Is there a pre-nup? And there are some who want to know, should they have just stayed unmarried? I`m diving into all of this, next.

And a real scare for another star couple, George Clooney and his girlfriend. George getting frightening threats about her. I`m investigating this. Plus, George and his girlfriend they speak out.

HAMMER: And is there a reality show curse? You know, I think putting your family on a reality show - man, is that a bad idea. Look at what happened to the Hogans, divorce; the Osbournes, kids in rehab. You have got to stick around for my special report coming up on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.

ANDERSON: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, TV`s most provocative entertainment news show. I`m Brooke Anderson. Tonight, the secret marriage between Jay-Z and Beyonce. So what`s the deal with that? Two of the biggest stars in music reportedly tied the knot Friday night in New York. But as of show time, they are still not confirming it. So, again, I ask, what`s the deal with that? Come on, you two, you`re married, `fess up.

With me tonight in Hollywood, Darren Kavinoky, attorney for the Kavinoky Law Firm. And in New York, Carolina Bermudez, senior editor for "In Touch Weekly." Darren, Carolina, good to see you.

And hey, we know Jay-Z and Beyonce have been together for six years, have always tried to fly under the radar. But Carolina, this whole thing is being handled as if it`s a top secret undercover mission to China. I don`t get it. You`re married, we`re happy for you. Congrats.

CAROLINA BERMUDEZ, SENIOR EDITOR, "IN TOUCH WEEKLY": Brooke, this is how they do things. Jay-Z and Beyonce have been notoriously private throughout their whole relationship. So I think this is where they really took a stand and said, "Listen, you guys hear what we make on a daily basis, practically. You guys see us on stage all the time. This is one thing that we really want to keep to ourselves." And they deserve that.

ANDERSON: Yes, one thing they could possibly keep private, keep a secret. And, you know, I have to say, speaking of money, this super star, super ego merger brings together a lot of money.

According to "People" magazine Beyonce earned $54 million last year. Jay-Z earned more than $115 million last year. Darren, is it fair to assume that there`s a pre-nup, and if not, that they may be out of their minds and dare I say, crazy in love?

ATTY. DARREN KAVINOKY, KAVINOKY LAW FIRM: Well, you know, Jay-Z had a hit a few years ago entitled, "99 problems." If he got married without a pre-nup, I think he can add to that list. We hope, as you express, Brooke, hey it`s great, you`re getting married, and congratulations.

And we also know that 50 percent of the marriages in this country end in divorce. And certainly, when you`re talking about people that have those kinds of net worth, it makes sense to solve the dissolution problems on the front end of the deal while everything`s lovey-dovey, and everybody`s getting along great.

So it is safe to assume that if their business managers had anything to do with it, and if their entertainment lawyers had anything to do with it, there is a pre-nup. But, of course, that does take some of the romance out of it. So we`ll have to wait and see.

ANDERSON: Maybe they let others who work for them take care of that and they just focused on the romantic side of the wedding and the marriage.

And you know, speaking of the divorce rate, as you mentioned, Darren, I hate to rain on their parade after they just got married, but some say, hey, they have been going strong for six years, that the divorce rate in Hollywood among stars is really high. Carolina, there are some who say, "If it ain`t broke, don`t fix it."

BERMUDEZ: Well, that`s true. I guess you could say that. But Beyonce and Jay-Z - they`ve solidified themselves as hip-hop royalty with this merger - for lack of a better term.

Really, if you think about it, if they just keep their private life separate, and they keep on doing business the way that they have been, everything`s going to be fine. You can`t mix business with pleasure. So as long as they keep going along the same route, they`re going to be OK.

ANDERSON: Yes, they`re two sharp people. And Darren, you`re an attorney, you have seen some nasty battles, I would imagine. What is the one piece of advice that you would give Beyonce and Jay-Z to avoid divorce court down the road?

KAVINOKY: Well, the best way to avoid divorce court is not to get married in the first place, but ...

ANDERSON: Oh, come on!

KAVINOKY: But I`m feeling my wife`s hand slap me across the face. No, I`m just kidding. I`m kidding.

Especially when we`re talking about a merger of this nature, I think the best thing to do is to be sure to check your egos at the door. People who are high net worth individuals and certainly celebrities are used to being catered to and their every whim and desire is being satisfied.

And in a marriage, at least my experience has been, that the best thing for the marriage is to make sure that you value the strength of the marriage, even above anybody`s individual needs, and especially in this kind of a high-profile situation, it must be incredibly difficult to do. So I think staying humble and really honoring the other spouse is so very important in a situation like this.

ANDERSON: So putting each other as a priority and not yourself. Carolina, what do you think? I think it will last. What are your thoughts? Do you?

BERMUDEZ: I do. I do. I definitely think it`s going to last. Now, I hope that Jay-Z listened to his boy, Kanye West, "We want pre-nup. We want pre-nup." Definitely, don`t do it without one. But also, you know, Matthew Knowles has always acted as Beyonce`s manager. As long as Jay-Z stays out that area, I think they`re going to be just fine.

ANDERSON: I wish Beyonce and Jay-Z lifelong wedded bliss. Darren Kavinoky, Carolina Bermudez, we will leave it there. Thank you both.

KAVINOKY: Thanks a lot.

HAMMER: All right. Naomi Campbell, a nightmare again. The supermodel had a freak-out. This time, she`s arrested on an airplane. What is with her? She threw a cell phone at an assistant before; now, this. So many of you fired up over it. I cannot believe the response we got. Should she go to jail if she`s convicted? And all this is true. Your E-mails, coming up next.

ANDERSON: A.J., George Clooney is all fired up over startling threats made about his girlfriend, Sarah Larson. Who would do such a thing? I`m investigating this. Plus, George and his girlfriend do speak out.

HAMMER: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York. And I cannot believe how much so many of you can`t stand Naomi Campbell`s guts. Wow! Back with us tonight in Hollywood, Howard Bragman, founder of Fifteen Minutes Public Relations, and investigative journalist, Jane Velez-Mitchell.

So guys, after supermodel Naomi Campbell was arrested at the end of last week at Heathrow airport for allegedly blowing her stack again and spitting at a cop, this was our question of the day. Here`s what we asked - "Naomi Campbell Arrested Again: If convicted, should she go to jail?" Overwhelming number of responses came in with 96 percent of people voting saying yes; four percent saying no. Jane, are you at all surprised?

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Not at all. This woman should go to jail. She has a horrible track record. She threw her cell phone at her housekeeper, hit the poor woman in the head. The woman had to get four stitches. She got community service and apparently didn`t learn a thing from that experience.

She also took anger management classes which obviously did not work. Back to anger management school, Naomi Campbell. You`ve got a serious problem. You`re rich, you`re beautiful, you have the world at your feet, why are you so angry?

You need to find out. Go to a shrink, get counseling but find out where that deep anger comes from because obviously it`s not situational. It`s that these situations trigger this rage within her. She`s got to learn to deal with that rage.

I`ve actually taken anger workshops where you take a tennis racket, you hit the pillows, you scream at whoever you`re angry with and you get it out. And that`s what she needs to do.

HAMMER: Well, boy, were our viewers angry about this. E-mail inbox almost flooded to capacity. I want to read one for you from Amber in Kentucky who writes, "She needs to go to jail for assault on a police officer. Celebrities need to realize that they are not special just because they are celebrities."

Also heard from Janice in North Carolina who said, "She has not learned a thing, and if people keep patting her on the wrist, she will never learn anything."

Howard, does Janice have it right; Naomi, if convicted, needs to do some hard time? And the fashion designers really need to stop hiring her?

BRAGMAN: Well, there`s two parts here. I don`t want to be judge and jury. But we have to get all the facts out here. We have to see what really did happen. There`s some conflicting reports here. If she did do what she`s accused of doing, spitting on a police officer, she probably should and probably will go to jail.

As for fashion designers, you know, they like controversy, A.J. It`s crowded out there in the fashion marketplace. And you`ve seen some of the models what they`ve done, the anorexic models, the models on drugs, they all come back like the little rubber dolls. They just knock them down and they bounce up. And fashion designers can learn to live with this controversy. And just imagine if Naomi goes to jail, the first time she`s on a runway is a big moment. I can see ...

HAMMER: No question about that.

BRAGMAN: Fashion designers could be there.

HAMMER: I`ve got to wrap you there, Howard. But maybe it could work to their advantage. Howard Bragman, Jane Velez-Mitchell, thanks a lot.

ANDERSON: Well, A.J., tonight, George Clooney isn`t as out of control as Naomi Campbell, but, boy, is he mad! You`ve got to hear this. After more than ten years, an inquest jury has finally ruled in the tragic death of Princess Diana. She was, quote, "unlawfully killed through the grossly negligent actions of the paparazzi and her driver in 1997." It`s a verdict equivalent to manslaughter. Diana, her boyfriend, Dodi Fayed and her driver were killed in a horrific crash in a Paris tunnel.

A Steve Irwin shocker. Australian officials have launched a tax probe into the late crocodile hunter and his wife, Terri. It`s over an alleged offshore scheme involving the Australia zoo. But the zoo says it has done nothing wrong. You remember Steve Irwin was killed in September 2006 by a sting ray.

Well, on Kathie Lee Gifford`s first day on the "Today" show, she revealed a startling secret. She tried out for "Charlie`s Angels" back in `70s.

KATHIE LEE GIFFORD, CO-HOST, THE "TODAY" SHOW: My agent called me to try out for it. Yes, and I went and auditioned for it. And I barely got in the door and the casting person says to me, "Let me tell you right now. You`re not right for Charlie`s Angels.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: What does that mean?

GIFFORD: Well, I don`t know. I just went, "Why?" And he said, "We`re looking for a pretty girl."

ANDERSON: Oh, I think Kathie Lee is looking pretty darn good. And she may not have gotten that part, but she has been really successful.

HAMMER: George Clooney obviously really successful himself, but unfortunately, tonight, that did not stop him from getting an awful phone call from someone - somebody who`s making disgusting threats about his girlfriend. George, absolutely livid. And tonight, he and his girlfriend are speaking out. Men, you`ve got stick around to hear this.

ANDERSON: And I don`t know, I think there might be a reality show curse. I mean, look at what happened to the Hogans when they went on TV. Can you say divorce? And then there`s the Osbournes, those kids to rehab.

ANDERSON: And I`m Brooke Anderson, coming to you tonight from Hollywood. This is TV`s most provocative entertainment news show.

Tonight, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT is revealing a startling and frightening threat against George Clooney`s girlfriend. Clooney is talking for the very first time about a scary voice mail he got about girlfriend Sarah Larson and how he`s fighting back.

Joining me tonight from New York, senior editor of "In Touch Weekly," Carolina Bermudez. And here in Hollywood, host of "Yo on E!" on XM and Sirius Satellite Radio, Michael Yo.

Hey, guys, George Clooney and Sarah Larson, we know they have been dating since late last year. She was a cocktail waitress in Vegas. Since then, there have been a lot of people coming out of the woodwork saying terrible things about Sarah.

And now, in the brand new issue of "The New Yorker" magazine, Clooney reveals a man called his private phone line and said this, "Dude, your friends asked me to give you a message: Dump the (EXPLETIVE DELETED) before you`re sorry!"

Carolina, should George be worried here?

BERMUDEZ: Absolutely. Anytime somebody gets a personal phone call - I believe it was at his home - that calls for attention. And also, I don`t think that Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, some of George Clooney`s closest friends, are calling him on his voice mail and leaving messages like that.

You know, he`s a power player in Hollywood. A lot of people are trying to get into his private life. And I think this really warrants a lot of attention for him.

ANDERSON: Yes, and I agree with you. It`s not a harmless prank phone call. It is very hurtful. Michael, why do some people seem to have it in for Sarah, who I also want to mention was a winner on the show "Fear Factor"? She`s tough.

MICHAEL YO, HOST, "YO ON E!": I think people have no lives a lot of times. People just have nothing better to do.

ANDERSON: True.

YO: And I think that`s what they`re doing right now. They`re attacking George Clooney and his girlfriend for no apparent reason. That`s just the jealousy in Hollywood. Maybe it`s an ex-boyfriend of Sarah Larson who`s really jealous. I don`t know. But no, I just think seriously this is terrible and something needs to be done. And good for George to actually step up and try to find out who`s saying all this stuff about him.

ANDERSON: Absolutely. And you know, ever since they`ve been dating, Sarah has appeared in public with George but has said virtually nothing. And now, she is really opening up for the first time saying this, quote, "They say that I`m stripper. There`s a ton of stuff about that. I`ve never been a stripper. You know, just because I`m from Las Vegas, I must be a stripper. Because I`m a cocktail server, that means I`m an escort."

Carolina, why are people being so mean to George`s girl? Are non-star girlfriends always targeted in this way?

BERMUDEZ: I believe so. I think that George Clooney is dreamy. Every woman pictures herself with him. He`s a superstar. But Sarah - I commend her for coming out and standing up for herself. She did need to do that. She should enjoy her happiness, being with him just as well as another Hollywood starlet. So why should it be any different for her and why should she be subjected to all of this type of criticism?

ANDERSON: Yes, and this obviously upset her; understandably so, because usually she is very reserved and very quiet publicly.

Michael, what do you think? Is it the Clooney connection that causes these things to happen?

YO: I mean you`ve got to remember though, even if you`re a celebrity in Hollywood and you`re dating like a George Clooney, you`re going to take criticism. So, yes, people just expect this to happen. Sarah Larson shouldn`t be surprised. She did hit the lottery, let`s be honest. She did hit the lottery in Vegas to get George Clooney.

This is the thing about George Clooney - he`s such a nice guy. Every guy wants to be him and every lady wants to sleep with him. So you`re going to get this criticism if you date George Clooney no matter if you`re a star or if you`re not a star.

ANDERSON: You know, George was so ticked off about this call that he even had the cops trace it. They didn`t get far because it was a prepaid cell phone that the call was made from. But man, you don`t mess with Clooney. When he gets mad, he`s going to try to track you down. But Carolina, is this a good idea for him to go on the attack like this?

BERMUDEZ: I definitely think so. I think at some point, you have to say, enough is enough. And George Clooney is one of those guys. He`s never been very shy about saying how he feels, and this especially. People are attacking somebody that he loves and that`s not fair.

So definitely I agree that he - you know, for him to come out and say something. It just shows you that people are getting fed up in Hollywood.

ANDERSON: Yes, you know George is an easy going guy. But when he feels like it`s important to make a stand - to take a stand on something, he`s not afraid to do so. Michael, do you think it`s a good idea for him to react in this way?

YO: Oh, absolutely it is a great idea because there`s one thing to criticize a movie or some of his work. But when you start messing with people you love or you`re in a relationship with, that`s a different level. It`s almost like there`s paparazzi and there`s stalker-azzi. Once it goes to stalker-azzi status, that`s bad and that`s when you need to take action.

ANDERSON: You know, they do have a very high-profile relationship. Carolina, is there anything these two can do to avoid something like this from happening in the future? Or is it just something that is going to happen when you`re a celebrity, maybe?

BERMUDEZ: I think that some people say, "Oh, you`re a celebrity, you have to deal with it." Not true, and I don`t think that`s very fair. So are they going to stay in their house locked up forever because they don`t want people to talk about them? No. They shouldn`t have to do that.

And that`s why I think George Clooney did the right thing. He came out and said, "Enough is enough. I`m not going to take this." And especially since Sarah isn`t in Hollywood. She`s not a celebrity. She`s not an actress. So why should she have to deal with this as well?

ANDERSON: You know, it is just ... Michael, go ahead, very quickly.

YO: I disagree with that. I think if you`re a celebrity, you need to be used to being in the spotlight because that`s part of the job. So I think it doesn`t matter if his girlfriend is famous or not. She`s dating George Clooney, one of the biggest celebrities in Hollywood.

BERMUDEZ: Yes, but you just can`t say whatever you want about somebody because they`re dating an actor.

YO: Absolutely not. Absolutely not.

BERMUDEZ: So that`s really where he has to draw the line somewhere.

ANDERSON: Yes, and we do have to leave it there for now. I think we can all agree that it`s terrible that somebody is trying to sabotage their relationship. Carolina Bermudez, Michael Yo, good to see you. Thank you both.

HAMMER: Yes, maybe not a good idea at all. That`s Hulk Hogan and his estranged wife, Linda, in their VH1 reality TV show, "Hogan Knows Best," believe it or not, in better days, before they got hit with what may be the curse of the reality show.

Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, TV`s most provocative entertainment news show. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York. Tonight, it`s a showbiz special report. Is there really such a thing as a reality show curse?

Right now, Lindsay Lohan`s mom is about to put herself and her 14- year-old daughter into a reality show, the same with Charlie Sheen`s ex- wife, Denise Richards, and their young children.

But I want you to hang on just a second, Dina and Denise. I want you to wait until you see what we have to show you tonight. You might think twice.

Back with us again in Hollywood, Howard Bragman, founder of Fifteen Minutes Public Relations and Jane Velez-Mitchell, author and investigative journalist.

All right. Jane, Howard, we`re asking, is there a curse? And first, we can look at the Hogan family. You know, they were on top of the world before the reality show. Now, you`ve got Hulk getting divorced. You`ve got his son, Nick, who was involved in this terrible car accident leaving his friend on life support. He`s now facing criminal charges. Howard, curse or no curse?

BRAGMAN: You know, the curse comes when you decide to be on the reality show. All you have to do is look at the history. Who has ever come out of a reality show looking really good? Very few people. Maybe Elizabeth Hasselbeck made it out all right.

But you know, you have to realize they take hundreds of hours of tape. And then, the moments that they pick are the worst moments you could ever have as a family. It`s hard enough being a family and living your life without a camera on you. With a camera, forget it. The odds are just against you.

HAMMER: Yes. And Elizabeth Hasselbeck, of course, it wasn`t about her life. It was about a whole bunch of people doing a whole bunch of stuff. So over to you, Jane Velez-Mitchell, curse or no curse?

VELEZ-MITCHELL: I object to the word "curse" because it implies something magical. There are very concrete reasons why reality shows are a set-up for tragedy. Reality shows are not reality. They are a set-up. There are 20 cameras and people in a room with lights and microphones saying, "Act normal," so they create in-authenticity.

And when you don`t have something genuine in a relationship, you are turning that relationship into a sham. So essentially, these couples and these families become phony. They become phony facades and that`s soul- killing.

Relationships are supposed to be priceless. They`re supposed to be sacred. They`re not supposed to be put up for sale. And essentially, when you take your lover or you take your family, your kids and put them in a reality show, you`re saying, "Hey, there`s a price tag on this person." Here it is, you`re turning them into a commodity and that on a very deep, emotional level is really, really devastating.

Even if intellectually, the kids are thinking, this might be fun, on some very deep level, they don`t want to be sold by mommy and daddy.

HAMMER: Well, heck, we need look no further than the first family of reality TV, the Osbournes. I mean, come on. Now, we all know they were pretty dysfunctional going into their show. But then, we all know, it got even worse. You have the Osbournes, Kelly and Jack, winding up battling their own drug addictions while the show was airing on MTV. Jane, so do you see a connection there?

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Well, first of all, I have to say I`ve met Sharon Osbourne and I think she`s a delightful person. And I give them kind of a pass because they were one of the first. So they were sort of experimenting. They were on the frontier of this whole reality show genre. They may not have known what to expect.

We can`t say the same for the others. The others have seen disaster after disaster. They know what to expect and they still put their kids in it. That`s what I don`t understand.

HAMMER: But then again, you can definitely see with the Osbournes where the limelight had an impact on the kids and that may very well have contribute to some of their issues. But I want to look at the big picture and where it`s going for these other people doing this. Because you have the Osbournes and the Hogans, as we mentioned, but also the Bonaduce family. We saw them implode before our very eyes. Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson - done, divorced. It`s a list that goes on.

So Howard, it seems pretty clear to me that the message to Dina and Denise should be, those who cannot learn from history are doomed to repeat it.

BRAGMAN: I`ve had clients ask me, A.J., they`re being considered for a reality show or about to go on it, "Should I do this? " And they all tell me, "You know, we`ve seen those other shows but we`re different than that." Guess what? You`re not different.

And Jane hit the nail on the head there. It`s not how you are. It`s how they make you look. They create characters just as seriously as scripted shows create characters and they do it out of your worst, most obnoxious moments. Stay away. Family dynamics are hard enough in this world without living them out on TV, especially for kids who are too young to make their own choices.

So I`m sorry. This is not going to help. Dina says she wants to tell the story her way. Go make a documentary, honey. This isn`t going to do it.

HAMMER: Yes, I think maybe she thinks, "Well, things can`t get any worse. I don`t know. That may be where she`s partially motivated. Howard Bragman, Jane Velez-Mitchell, I do appreciate you both being with us tonight to examine this.

ANDERSON: All right. I have to tell you, I could hardly believe my eyes this morning. Whoopi and Joy kissed on "The View." I`m serious. I`m not talking about a peck on the cheek here. The kiss was on the lips. So what brought this on? We`re going to tell you, coming up.

ANDERSON: So Jenna Jameson says she`s done with porn for good and is trying to branch out into mainstream entertainment. When Jenna sat down with SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, she said she knows it`s a balancing act moving from one world into another. Take a look.

JAMESON: It`s juggling for sure for me because I never want to turn my back on my past, you know. The adult world made me who I am and, you know, put me into the hearts of millions of people. So I really need to make sure that I continuously embrace that.

But I always - you know, I want to move forward. I want to like - you know, succeed on different levels. So it`s important for me to make sure that I keep all my plates spinning.

HAMMER: Thank you, Charles. Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m A.J. Hammer. Hollywood mourning the death of legendary actor Charlton Heston. Heston died Saturday night at his home in Beverly Hills with his wife by his side. He was 84 years old.

In recent years, he became as famous for his politics as his acting career. Heston was a fierce advocate for guns and was the president of the National Rifle Association. But in the `50s and `60s, he was one of the biggest box office draws in the world playing Moses in the "Ten Commandments." And of course, winning an Oscar for his role in "Ben Hur."

ANDERSON: Whoopi Goldberg remembered Charlton Heston in, well, a unique way on "The View." Back when Whoopi had her own talk show, she interviewed Heston. She said she really wanted to talk to him about his role in "The Omega Man," which was the first time Whoopi saw an interracial kiss on film.

Now, in telling the story, Whoopi couldn`t help but get Joy Behar in on the action.

WHOOPI GOLDBERG, CO-HOST, "THE VIEW": So I said to him now, "Did you get a lot of, you know, crap?" And he said, "Yes. I got a lot." I said, "Why? What was it like?" He said, "Well, I said she was so beautiful."

JOY BEHAR, CO-HOST, "THE VIEW": The girl (UNINTELLIGIBLE).

GOLDBERG: And so, this is what I did. I leaned to him. And I said, we`re going to break. And it was - it wasn`t about anything -

ANDERSON: The co-host also talked about when Heston was a guest on "The View" back in 2001. He was talking about being married for 57 years and said it comes down to picking the right girl the first time.

HAMMER: On Friday, we asked you to vote about Naomi Campbell getting arrested at the airport at Heathrow for allegedly spitting at a police officer. Our question of the day was this - "Naomi Campbell Arrested Again: If convicted should she go to jail?"

Well, look at that. Ninety-six percent of you said yes. Four percent of you said no.

Among the E-mails, we got one from Emma in New York. Emma writes, "She needs to go to jail and learn a hard lesson that she can`t do what she`s been doing to people."

We also heard from Sandy in Florida. Sandy writes, "She has anger management problems that she doesn`t seem to want to get under control. She has been given too many chances and it is time that she faces the music."

Clearly, a lot of people, Brooke, want to see her locked up with that key tossed away somewhere.

ANDERSON: Face some serious consequences, yes.
