A.J. HAMMER, CNN CO-HOST: Gina Gershon finally speaks out about the Bill Clinton sex controversy and only SHOWBIZ TONIGHT has got the star right here that got her to talk.
I`m A.J. Hammer in New York.

BROOKE ANDERSON, CNN CO-HOST: And is Sean Combs really changing his name again? Puff Daddy, Puffy, Diddy -- enough already.

I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood.

HAMMER: TV`s most provocative entertainment news show starts right now.

On SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, stars saying the stupidest things -- Amy Winehouse`s awful racial rant; Rupert Everett calling brave soldiers wimps; Sharon Stone`s shocking earthquake comments.

SHARON STONE, ACTRESS: Is that karma?

HAMMER: What`s wrong with these people? Tonight, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT investigates the disturbing global outbreak of celebrity foot and mouth fiascos.

Tonight, the SHOWBIZ "Big Buzz," the outrageous stories that have everyone buzzing. The now infamous women, who claim Bill Clinton got intimate with them, are selling their steamy stories for a very cheap price.

And the teens who attacked a fast-food worker, then posted it on YouTube. Their punishment? More YouTube.

Plus, Startling Star Couples. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT investigates the Hollywood couples who are so opposite, so different, it makes our head spin.

Hello, I`m A.J. Hammer broadcasting tonight and every night from New York City.

ANDERSON: Hi there, everybody. I`m Brooke Anderson coming to you from Hollywood.

And tonight, Gina Gershon`s first TV interview since claiming she was accused of having sex with former President Bill Clinton. And only SHOWBIZ TONIGHT is going one-on-one with the star who did the interview. That`s coming up.

HAMMER: But first, stars saying the stupidest things. You know, tonight, there is a remarkable global outbreak of foot and mouth fiascos involving Hollywood`s biggest celebrities.

Rupert Everett today became the latest star to apologize for saying something so ridiculous and so outrageous, even he`s admitting it was stupid.

From Rupert to Sharon Stone to Amy Winehouse, we`re been blown away by the moronic things these stars have been saying. And it`s all making news right now.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: It`s spreading like a brush fire.

HAMMER: It`s an outbreak scarier than anything we saw in the movie, "Outbreak."

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: He`s losing it.

HAMMER: And it`s spreading all over the world.

JOE PIAZZA, NEW YORK DAILY NEWS: I`m not sure how it can be contained. And I think that it`s just going to keep getting worse.

HAMMER: SHOWBIZ TONIGHT is here to warn you about a seemingly global outbreak of celebrity foot and mouth disease.

SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you, celebrity after celebrity after celebrity all over the world are making stupid comments and issuing clumsy apologies immediately after. The Centers for Disease Control is baffled.

Jo Piazza of the "New York Daily News" has one theory for this outbreak.

PIAZZA: The heat could definitely be affecting parts of celebrities` brains that control judgment.

HAMMER: With her alleged substance abuse problems, brushes with the law and general weird behavior, British singer Amy Winehouse is no stranger to controversy.

BLAKE FIELDER-CIVIL, HUSBAND OF AMY WINEHOUSE: Can I have a (inaudible).

HAMMER: But a home video taped by her husband, Blake, puts her in a new league, the Michael Richard`s league, that is.

PIAZZA: Now we have this video of her doing a racist version of heads, shoulders, knees and toes, the children`s song.

HAMMER: Posted online by the "News of the World" paper, this video features Amy and a friend singing a popular children`s song, but ad libbing racist and offensive lyrics.

While Amy`s previous antics provoked ridicule and sometimes pity, this one sparked genuine anger.

PIAZZA: We accept her crazy drug use, but people are really outraged over the racist thing.

HAMMER: This week, she apologized for the video, saying she was, quote, "sorry if any of her words have been misunderstood or caused offense." Not that her apology was universally accepted.

PIAZZA: There is no misunderstanding racist head, shoulders, knees and toes.

HAMMER: Open mouth, insert foot, Amy.

Another victim of celebrity foot and mouth disease, Rupert Everett. In a recent interview, Everett said about British troops, quote, "They always whining about the dangers of being killed. Oh, my god, they are such wimps now. The whole point of being in the army is wanting to get killed."

PIAZZA: He is absolutely qualified to talk about the current state of the British military.

HAMMER: After all, making bad movies with Madonna is almost like combat.

But after the expected outrage, Everett put his foot in his mouth. He said, quote, "I apologize without reserve to anyone who has been insulted by my remarks."

But nothing beats Sharon Stone`s foot and mouth disease.

PIAZZA: Sharon Stone`s comments were really special because she did offend an entire country.

HAMMER: Just days after May`s tragic earthquake in China that killed almost 70,000 people, Stone went to the Cannes Film Festival in France and let fly with this controversial quote.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

STONE: They`re not being nice to the Dalai Lama, who is a good friend of mine. And then all this earthquake and all this stuff happened and I thought is that karma, when you`re not nice that the bad things happen to you.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: The response was fierce. Fashion house Christian Dior dropped her from its ads in China. Stone was also dis-invited from the Shanghai International Film Festival. And China`s official news agency called Stone the public enemy of all mankind. Guess they saw "Basic Instinct II."

PIAZZA: I thought that Sharon Stone was the public enemy of all mankind for a while now.

HAMMER: Christian Dior issued an apology in Stone`s name, although Stone quibbled over its wording.

Jo Piazza of the "Daily News" doesn`t know if it would have done any good any way.

PIAZZA: I`m not sure if they think that the apology makes it all better. But sometimes the apology is actually worse than the original thing they said.

HAMMER: And even though a good apology is a good treatment, stars are finding out the hard way, there`s no known cure for foot and mouth disease, unless one`s willing to go to extreme measures.

ANDERSON: Should we be calling in the Centers for Disease Control to stop this outbreak? How serious is it?

With me tonight in New York, Maggie Gallant, founder of Spotlight Communications, and in Hollywood, Howard Bragman, founder of Fifteen Minutes Public Relations.

OK, guys, clearly, all these people have talent. They are famous for being artists.

But, Howard, it seems to me this is clearly a case of stick-to-what- you know, please.

HOWARD BRAGMAN, FOUNDER, FIFTEEN MINUTES PUBLIC RELATIONS: You know, Brooke, some of the smartest, most politically engaged people I know happen to be celebrities. But these people also understand that they`re held to a much higher standard and they don`t spurt things off the cuff like these stars have, and they don`t do stupid moves. They are calculated political statements and shows of supports for causes and candidates.

You don`t just go out at the Cannes Film Festival, stand in the press line and make these statements because you`re on this big pedestal and they`re going to knock your butt off, as they`ve done so many times.

ANDERSON: You just can`t be flippant, especially about such sensitive issues. And it`s really hard to say which of these is the most ridiculous. But I`m going to start with Rupert Everett, who had the nerve to call British troops wimps and added that Americans have a semi-blindness about the rest of the world.

He did apologize for what he said but, Maggie, Rupert`s no dummy. He`s not new to the business. I read his very long apology. It did come across as quite sincere, but do you think the damage is already done and people are going to think, hey, this guy`s an imbecile?

MAGGIE GALLANT, FOUNDER, SPOTLIGHT COMMUNICATIONS: No, Brooke, I don`t think the damage is done. You`ve read the statement. He`s very eloquent in his apology. He apologizes. He explains where the sentiment came from, his personal feelings on war. And importantly, he apologized again. And I think that he`s going to have a really good audience and they do want to hear what he has to say now.

ANDERSON: You know, he did admit that he was very trivial about something that was very serious and he shouldn`t have been. But what surprised me is this came so soon after what Sharon Stone said just after that devastating earthquake in China. Take a look at that.

ANDERSON: Again, nearly 70,000 people died.

Sharon has apologized twice for those comments. But, Howard, should it just be, I don`t know, basic instinct when you`re a start and your words carry so much weight that you don`t say stupid things like that?

BRAGMAN: You know, like everybody else, particularly in America, we live in a free country. We have the First Amendment. And we have the right to say what we want and we have the right to say that we have these feelings, be it about war or politics or China or candidates.

But again, there`s a standard that stars are going to get held to because there`s a lot of people who don`t like their stars being political and think it hurts their careers. So they have to be extra cautious, extra smart and, as you said, not glib or flippant at all. They have to be very cautious when they make these statements.

ANDERSON: Yes, measure their words very carefully. And as we just saw, another case of foot and mouth disease, Amy Winehouse, who`s sang racial slurs to the children`s song of head and shoulders, knees and toes, and the apologized by saying this, "I don`t want to play anything down but I`m the least racist person going. I think they," -- referring to the "World of the News" newspaper -- "should have starred out certain words."

Starred out certain words? Maggie, are you kidding me? They should have censored her racist rant? Is that what she`s saying? And do you think that Amy should be admitted to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`S Just Zip It rehab clinic?

GALLANT: That`s clearly the issue here. The larger issue is no one knows what`s going to come out of her mouth or what`s going up her nose or what`s going on with her at all. You can`t really draw the line from A to B that she`s a racist when she says something like this when she has so much turmoil going on in her personal life. No one`s really buying it.

ANDERSON: Howard, 10 seconds, do stars just somehow get their foot wedge in so much they`ve got to get a good shoe horn to get it out?

BRAGMAN: You know, we allow people redemption in this country. You can always bet that another star`s going to do something stupid and we`re going to forget about the last star. So that`s the good news, Brooke.

ANDERSON: And move on, I suppose.

Howard Bragman, Maggie Gallant, thank you both.

HAMMER: Well, we want to hear from you. We are still getting a huge response to our SHOWBIZ TONIGHT question of the day. And we`re still asking you: Hulk Hogan, can his career survive his son`s scandal? Go to cnn.com/showbiztonight to vote. You can also email us at showbiztonight@cnn.com.

You know, Brooke, Gina Gershon is coming out swinging to make sure her career doesn`t take a hit from this whole Bill Clinton scandal.

ANDERSON: Yes, I know, A.J. She is really fired up about this. She`s livid.

HAMMER: Yes, she is just so mad about this "Vanity Fair" article, which she says implies that she and the former president had an affair. And up next, right here, I`m going one-on-one with the star who finally got her to talk about all this. It`s the revealing interview you`ll see only on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.

And the women, who claim Bill Clinton got intimate with them, are now selling their steamy stories online.

And then there are the teens who attacked a fast-food worker. Then they posted it on YouTube. They`re getting a shocking punishment for all this. Everybody`s talking about these stories. And we have got a fired up panel. It is the SHOWBIZ "Big Buzz" coming up.

Also this.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I think Arnold and Maria really learn a lot from each other. Like, Arnold taught Maria how to use free weights and Marie taught Arnold how to use vowels.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver are just so different. I don`t get it. How do they and other opposites make it work? My SHOWBIZ special report, Startling Star Couples.

HAMMER: And remember, you can watch "SHOWBIZ TONIGHT" video anytime. We are posting new stuff for you check out all the time. All you have to do is surf on over to cnn.com/showbiztonight. And among the videos playing right now, the shocking inside story of how Ed McMahon may actually lose his home.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

MARIO LOPEZ, GUEST HOST, "REGIS AND KELLY": What`s with all the craziness with the "Vanity Fair" article linking you with our former president?

GINA GERSHON: You know, it is such a crazy, outrageous lie that really has nothing to do with me at the end of the day.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: That`s Gina Gershon, live with "Regis and Kelly" in her very first TV interview since she claims she was accused of having an affair with former President Bill Clinton.

Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT," TV`s most provocative entertainment news show. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York.

Tonight, Gina Gershon is still furious over a "Vanity Fair" article that she says suggested she and Bill Clinton were seeing each other on the side.

Well, when she went on "Regis and Kelly" to set the record straight, Regis had the day off and Mario Lopez, from "Dancing with the Stars" was filling in for Reg. I spoke with Maria tonight about what happened with Gina. And I asked him if he was surprised that Gina was so fired up about this.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

MARIO LOPEZ: Well, I think she was more fired up that in this whole Teenzee, YouTube, MySpace generation that we`re living in now that it doesn`t matter whether there`s any credibility to the source or whatever someone comes out with, they have - it`s irrelevant whether it`s just somewhat true and we`ll just will say what we want to say and then just be prepared to deal with the consequences later. So it`s more - it was coming, I think, just like a deeper place. So obviously, you now, she said she`s met our former president a couple of times, but no...

HAMMER: Nothing there?

LOPEZ: Nothing going on there.

HAMMER: As a matter of fact, she`s felt it very important to speak out about that and that`s one of the reasons she was sitting down with you guys yesterday.

LOPEZ: Yes, and I asked her about it and she hadn`t addressed it yet so, so...

HAMMER: Well, let`s take a look at her describing to you why it was so important for her to speak out.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

GERSHON: It is such a crazy, outrageous lie that really has nothing to do with me at the end of the day, you know. It`s more the...

LOPEZ: Do you know him or is her a friend of yours?

GERSHON: I`ve met him three times at, you know, events, at the White House or, you know, different places. But the thing is, you know, you`re so used to celebrity gossip and people always say stuff, it`s like whatever, it`s part of, you know, the world used to deflect what`s really going on with things.

KELLY RIPA, CO-HOST, "REGIS AND KELLY": But this just somehow seems serious.

GERSHON: This -- no, it just disturbs me on so many other levels that I kind of felt like I had to stand up for myself and speak the truth.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: OK, now for the record, "Vanity Fair" has refused to issue a retraction. They say their article doesn`t suggest that she and President Clinton got it on.

All of that said, as a celebrity, who certainly has been the target of speculation and rumor in your life, do you see where she`s coming from?

LOPEZ: Well, of course I see. I mean, you don`t even have to be a celebrity. I think any person above average intelligence can just sort of see where she`s coming from. And she makes a good point about saying there`s so much more important things going on and involving our former president and people at that level that they have to drag even him to this sort of thing. I mean, it`s sort of embarrassing. You want to laugh it off, but after a while it maybe isn`t so funny, especially when it hits home.

But she`s a sweat heart. I have a great time when I fill in for Regis. Kelly and I get along great, so I look forward every time I get to go back.

HAMMER: And of course, what also comes with the territory of being a celebrity and being the subject of speculation, is your love life, your personal life, everybody`s going to want to know every single little detail.

LOPEZ: Oh, everything`s up for grabs.

HAMMER: And there`s been an awful lot of that over the past couple of years about you and your relationship with your former "Dancing with the Co-stars (ph)" -- dancing with the co-stars...

LOPEZ: That`s a new show...

(CROSSTALK)

HAMMER: That`s a new show we`re about to launch. Your "Dancing with the Stars" partner, Karina Smirnoff. Now that you guys are no longer a couple...

LOPEZ: You shouldn`t believe everything either, A, you report or, B, that you read or...

HAMMER: So here`s my question.

LOPEZ: Let me cut you off before you get there. Hold on. Let me cut you off.

HAMMER: All right. You don`t even know where I`m going, but go ahead.

LOPEZ: I know, but let me cut you off because I know this is A.J. Hammer and not Larry King. So let me get you straight here.

First of all, I learned a long time ago, since I`ve been in this for a like a long time, is I really didn`t divulge anything as far as my personal matters. People are going to say what they`re going to say and I don`t trip on it. You know, I...

HAMMER: It doesn`t make you angry?

LOPEZ: It doesn`t make me angry at all. I kind of laugh. I know it comes with the territory. I kind of laugh it all off. I`m always respectful and polite. But I never really kind of go there or address it to be honest with you. Right now, I`m so focused. I`m starring in a Broadway show. I`m still working on "Extra" as a host. I just released my first book, "Knock Out Fitness."

HAMMER: Which is...

(CROSSTALK)

LOPEZ: Which I`m really excited about. I`m - thank you very much.

HAMMER: Working with Oscar Meyer. Let`s talk about that. Right now.

LOPEZ: Working for Oscar Meyer.

HAMMER: It`s a great program. It`s America`s Second Harvest. It`s a hunger relief program. You`re working with them to get 100 grand donated. Why is this so important to you?

LOPEZ: Well, they`re already donated $100 grand. And that`s just to start it off. I mean, I`ve worked with different food banks before. And it`s a great - I think when you`re in the position to kind of help people and to lend your name and time to great causes like this, then you should take advantage of that. I think it`s your responsibility. And the people at Oscar Meyer approached me and I jumped at the chance because it`s, again, a great cause. They`re going all over the country in their wiener- mobile, bringing awareness to raise money for hunger relief.

HAMMER: To raise money.

LOPEZ: And we started today by launching it over in Time Square. As hot as it was, I was out there grilling up a storm, you know, getting hot dogs and people were - they were liking my grilling and they were aware of what was going on. We`re raising money and doing a good thing. And that`s what life should be about.

HAMMER: Mario, great to see you.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

HAMMER: That guy, Mario, is a good guy. Certainly has come a long way since "Saved by the Bell."

All right, moving on. Got to tell you, there are these star couples out there that I just don`t get, talking about the ones that seem completely different from each other, but they somehow make it work.

ANDERSON: Well, A.J., maybe it is true. Maybe opposites do attract. Look at Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher, Sandra Bullock and her husband, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver.

Coming up, my SHOWBIZ special report, the most Startling Star Couples.

HAMMER: Well, Brooke, everybody`s buzzing about the women who claimed Bill Clinton got intimate with them because -- listen to this -- they`re now selling their steamy stories for just a couple of bucks out there on the Internet.

And then, you have the teens who attacked a fast-food worker. They`re being punished in a way, I`ve got to say, I`ve never heard of this before. You won`t want to miss the SHOWBIZ "Big Buzz" coming up.

And I could now believe what Regis Philbin revealed on "The View" today. He wants to see one of the ladies nude. You don`t want to miss this, coming up on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

ANDERSON: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m Brooke Anderson. And here are some more stories that are new right now.

Tori Spelling is a mom again. The "90210" star and husband, Dean McDermott, welcomed a girl, 6 pounds, eight ounce, Stella Doreen, at a Los Angeles hospital on Monday. They also have a 1-year-old son, Liam Aaron.

All right, get psyched for this. It`s Smurf-tastic. The Smurfs are coming to the big screen. Columbia Pictures and Sony Animation are working on a live-action animated movie. Oh, and in case you forgot, the Smurfs are the tiny blue people who live in the forest. You`ve got Papa Smurf, Smurfette, Grouchy, Brainy, you get the drift.

And R Kelly`s defense team has rested its case. The R&B star has pleaded not guilty to child pornography for allegedly videotaping himself having sex with a girl who prosecutors say was as young as 13 in the video. Kelly could face up to 15 years in prison if convicted.

HAMMER: Well, Brooke, you have got to hear these other stories that people are buzzing about.

The women, who claim former President Bill Clinton got intimate with them, they are selling their steamy stories online for just a couple of bucks.

Also, the teens who attacked a fast-food drive-thru clerk get a shocking punishment. It`s the SHOWBIZ "Big Buzz" and it`s next.

Also this.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I think Arnold and Maria really learn a lot from each other, like Arnold taught Maria how to use free weights and Maria taught Arnold how to use vowels.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: Yes, Arnold and Maria are just one of the many couples that people sometimes don`t understand. They seem like complete opposites. There`s Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher, Sandra Bullock and her husband. So how do they make it work? It`s my revealing SHOWBIZ special report, Startling Star Couples, coming up.

HAMMER: And has Sean Combs changed his name again? I mean, come on. This is getting ridiculous. Puff Daddy, Puffy, Diddy -- enough already. Well, whatever you want to call him, sets the record straight. And that is coming up.

SHOWBIZ TONIGHT is coming right back.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. It is 30 minutes past the hour. I`m A.J. Hammer broadcasting tonight and every night from New York City.

ANDERSON: And I`m Brooke Anderson coming to you tonight from Hollywood. This is TV`s most provocative entertainment news show.

HAMMER: Well, tonight we`ve got the SHOWBIZ "Big Buzz," the stories that are causing a "Big Buzz" from coast to coast.

So on the day after Gina Gershon`s first TV interview about an article that she says suggests she had an affair with former President Clinton, comes this, a brand new web site from two infamous women who do claim Clinton got intimate with them before he was president.

And wait until you hear how two teens got punished for attacking a fast-food worker and posting it on YouTube. They`re punishment? To go back to YouTube.

With me tonight in New York, Maggie Gallant, the founder of Spotlight Communications; in Hollywood tonight, it`s Conor Knighton, the host of Current TV`s "infoMania;" also in Hollywood, Kristin Dos Santos, columnist for "E! Online."

So, gang, Gina Gershon has now threatened this law suit, demanded "Vanity Fair" retract its story that she says implies that she had this affair with Bill Clinton, a claim that "Vanity Fair" refutes.

And on Monday, Gina took her war of words to "Live with Regis and Kelly." Watch this.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

GERSHON: Journalists today, it`s so scary because they take these rumors and hearsay, they put it in a story. Then that story goes around the world in about a minute, courtesy of the web. And people read this. They perceive it to be the truth. So therefore, lies are the new facts.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: All right, Gina may not have had an affair. But here`s what everybody`s buzzing about now. Two women, who definitely had a past with former President Clinton, have now launched a new web site.

Do you remember Paula Jones and Gennifer Flowers? Yes, well, they`re selling their steamy secrets on this new web site for - get this - a $1.99 a pop.

Maggie Gallant, let me begin with you. Are you thinking maybe they thought, hey, look at all the publicity Gina Gershon is getting? And you know, there`s this crazy thing out there called the Internet. Why not?

GALLANT: I think that was definitely part of it, A.J. But whether it`s 1991, 2008 or 2090, people are always going to be fascinated by the Clintons. Now I`m not saying this is good taste or in any taste at all, this is like taking kissing and telling to the lowest possible level.

HAMMER: Yes, it`s down there in the basement, isn`t it?

And what`s more startling about this, these two are barely recognizable. They`ve completely changed their physical appearances from what we remember from way back when.

What do you think, Conor, that perhaps they woke up from their, I don`t know, anesthesia and said, hey, we`ve got a great idea?

CONOR KNIGHTON, HOST, INFOMANIA: Yes, their site is called Two Chicks Chatting. And you`ve got to wonder if that`s trying to capitalize on like two-girls, one cop, or some of these other things that have been popular on the Internet. But it really is just two chicks chatting. There`s nothing else there. And the web site is really poorly designed. And so there`s like a little PayPal link at the bottom. I don`t feel comfortable at all giving them a credit card. I`m not positive that this won`t go to like Nigeria or somewhere.

HAMMER: Yes, it sounds like they need to be charging more than $1.99. Maybe sort of up the grade of their web site a little bit.

So, yes, Two Chicks Chatting, the name of this site, and I was thinking, isn`t that a "Saturday Night Live" skit from way back when? Maybe not.

But, Kristin, do you think this could have the makings of a new reality show. I`m thinking that if the stars of "The Hills" have their own reality show, well why not these two chicks chatting.

KRISTIN DOS SANTOS, E! ONLINE: I`m sure that these two chicks would love for that to happen because, let`s be honest, obviously this is all about publicity.

And I have to say, even with Gina Gershon, she has taken the opportunity when the cameras have meet up with her to say, "No comment, but make sure you check out my web site and buy my new CD." So clearly, she was waiting to break the news of her comment and her response to "Vanity Fair" on "Regis and Kelly." So kudos to all of them to really trying to be publicity whores.

(LAUGHTER)

HAMMER: Yes, big up to them for that.

But I`m wondering because what always happens now is the flood gates get opened up. So I`m wondering, you know, could the next thing be Monica Lewinsky as a dress maker? I was thinking about that.

What do you think, Maggie? Could they actually have a shot at making some fans here? Paula Jones is barely wearing any clothes on the site after all.

GALLANT: I mean, nobody even knows who these people are if their names weren`t attached to it. Their faces are completely unrecognizable. But unfortunately, I do think there are people out there that want the dirty details. Sad, but true.

HAMMER: Sad, indeed.

Well, let`s move on to another Internet story that people are buzzing about right now. It`s a prank called Fire in the Hole. And this is really nothing to laugh at.

Take a look at this video of teens attack fast-food workers. They shot this video of their attack, posted it on YouTube. And now, two teens who got caught have been sentenced to posting another video on YouTube. Basically, the idea is to warn others not to do the same thing.

Take a look at their punishment video.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: On October 2, 2007, my friend and I were charged in juvenile court with two counts of battery and one count of criminal mischief.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Man, he`s got a career in voice overs ahead of him.

What do you think, Conor, has the world gone completely nuts? You commit a crime that`s posted on YouTube. You get caught because it`s seen on YouTube. And then you get sentenced to YouTube.

KNIGHTON: Well, you know, what`s interesting is this apology video has not been viewed nearly as many times as the incident video. And so even if the punishment is fitting the crime and that`s it`s like a YouTube punishment for a YouTube crime, you`ll never get those same amount of views. So, you know, I can`t imagine that the lady`s satisfied with this.

HAMMER: Yes, and now of course - and she`s not, by the way. She`s gone on record saying she`s not happy that the kids who attacked her aren`t even being seen in the video. But you listen to that thing, yes, that`s not going to draw my attention to watching it on YouTube.

What do you think, Kristin, would a better sentence for them perhaps have been being forced to work in a fast-food window? I`m thinking, you line up the cars. You have car after car drive through, toss some drinks and fries in their faces.

DOS SANTOS: I like that. It`s sort of like a dunk tank, right? I think that would work actually very well. And put that on YouTube.

No, I think that definitely the punishment did not fit the crime in this case. They were ordered to community service, the video on YouTube, which hardly anyone has seen, and clean up costs at Taco Bell, which is probably about - I`m guess -- $425 at minimum wage.

And I think this woman actually should -- what she should do is turn this into a new career for her. She actually sleuthed out where these boys lived, found out where they were, who they are, talked to their mother and then brought on these charges. So she should turn this into some sort of detective work.

HAMMER: Yes, a little bit investigation going on with her.

Maggie, what do you think? Maybe the woman should take them by the hand and dip them in the French fry fryer maker.

GALLANT: Well, A.J., I`m the most concerned about what has happened to pranks. In my day, I was a really good prankster and this isn`t even that funny to begin with. I mean, throwing a drink? How far we`ve come since the days of Abbot and Costello. It`s not even funny.

HAMMER: Yes, but, of course, back in your day, Maggie, they weren`t shooting and putting it on YouTube. But I`m not saying anything about your age there. We just know the reality, you know, YouTube, a pretty recent thing.

Conor, I know that you feature Viral videos and YouTube videos on your show, "infoMania." We show the Viral videos here on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. Is this just a new form of entertainment that we better get used to? I`m thinking it`s kind of like professional wrestling, maybe in this case, two smack downs with fries, hold the Hogan?

KNIGHTON: I mean, with this -- I`m with Maggie on -- it`s a different type of prank. And this one, there`s nothing funny about it. It`s really just mean. But there are people who have a lot of success with Viral videos. The Improv Everywhere Group. They`ll go into Best Buy and they`ll only where blue shirts and confuse everyone there. They`ll go into Abercrombie and where no shirts or subways and where no pants. I guess a lot of it has to do with clothes, come to think of it.

But those videos are totally harmless. And they`ve done better than these by not throwing a frosty in someone`s face. So it`s possible. You don`t have to do this thing, this Internet thing.

HAMMER: But if it`s a prank that hurt someone, obviously you shouldn`t be doing it. I`m not going to preach about that. But don`t be stupid enough to put it on YouTube. I mean, come on.

KNIGHTON: Absolutely, really.

HAMMER: The punishment is you`re stupid.

Maggie Gallant, Conor Knighton and Kristin Dos Santos, I appreciate your being here.

And we`ve been asking you to vote on our SHOWBIZ TONIGHT question of the day. Here it is: Hulk Hogan, can his career survive his son`s scandal. Let us know what you think by voting at cnn.com/showbiztonight. You can also email us at showbiztonight@cnn.com.

ANDERSON: Hey, A.J., every once in a while two stars hook up. And it makes me wonder what in the world they could possibly have in common.

HAMMER: It seems to happen all the time, Brooke. Lots of examples out there. Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver, when they became a couple, I was thinking that.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP

UNIDDENTIFIED FEMALE: I think Arnold and Maria really learn a lot from each other, like Arnold taught Maria how to use free weights and Maria taught Arnold how to use vowels.

(END VIDEO CLIP

ANDERSON: And Arnold and Maria are just the beginning. Do opposites really attract, or does being so different really spell disaster for Hollywood romance? Tonight, a SHOWBIZ special report, Startling Star Couples.

HAMMER: Also, here`s a question you`ll want to think about. Why were Regis Philbin and Joy Behar talking about getting naked on "The View"? It did make for a very funny interaction that you`ll definitely want to see. And you will see what I`m talking about coming up. You definitely don`t want to miss it.

ANDERSON: And stop the presses. Diddy could be changing his name again. Come on, we have enough trouble keeping track already. Puffy, Puff Daddy, P. Diddy, Sean Combs -- give me a break. Call him what you want, but stick around to see Diddy`s own message answering the question, what`s in a name, straight ahead on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.

HAMMER: Now remember, you can watch SHOWBIZ TONIGHT video anytime, not just here on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, but we`ve got new stuff for you to watch all the time being posted at cnn.com/showbiztonight. And among the videos now playing, Ed McMahon`s mortgage mess.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

ANDERSON: Hey, welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, TV`s most provocative entertainment news show. I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood.

Tonight, a SHOWBIZ special report, Startling Star Couples. How about those Hollywood couples who are just so opposite that they make you shake your head in confusion? Demi and Ashton, Sandra Bullock and Jessie James - - what could they possibly have in common? How did they even meet? SHOWBIZ TONIGHT investigates the secrets behind these startling star couples.

Paula Abdul`s "Opposite`s Attract" said it best.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: If I can quote the great wordsmith, Paula Abdul, you take two steps forward, one step back, remember.

ANDERSON: SHOWBIZ TONIGHT is testing this adverse theory on some of Hollywood`s hottest couples.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Whatever seems completely opposite to us, you know, it works for them.

ANDERSON: In July 2005, Miss Congeniality, Sandra Bullock, shocked the world by tying the knot with tattooed motorcycle maven, Jessie James.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: What`s good for one is definitely not the same recipe for someone else.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: A lot of people don`t know this, but Jessie James just got a new tattoo. It`s the logo for the divine secrets of the "Ya-Ya Sisterhood." He loves that movie.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Ya-ya.

ANDERSON: Of course, he does. She`s in it. They also made an unlikely pair because while the never-married Sandra was linked to several Hollywood heartthrobs, Jessie had been married twice before and had three little kids.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: You`re talking about couples like Sandra Bullock and Jessie James, they`re two people that -- they have that free spirit to them. There`s something about -- their outlook on life, their worldview is the same.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER, ACTOR: I need your clothes, your boots and your motorcycle.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: In the `80s, "Terminator" actor Arnold Schwarzenegger married into the all-American Kennedy family when he said "I do" to Maria Shriver. Some questioned what an Austrian body builder and a serious journalist would have in common.

UNIENTIFIED FEMALE: I think Arnold and Maria really learn a lot from each other, like Arnold taught Maria how to use free weights and Maria taught Arnold how to use vowels.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: And you could say that as well about Maria Shriver and Arnold Schwarzenegger. As bizarre as it seemed when they got together, you know, we don`t know the intimacies of their relationship and their marriage. And it seems like that`s the bigger picture. Do they share the same morals? Do they share the same world view? And when you have a successful marriage, like they both seem to have, the answer has to be yes.

ANDERSON: While finances usually aren`t an issue for SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`S opposite-attracting couples, age is.

UNIDENIFIED FEMALE: Age differences in relationships have a lot to do with each individual person`s maturity.

ANDERSON: The Cougar couple of Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher comes to mind.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Everyone`s always talking about how Demi and Ashton are 15 years apart, but here`s the thing, when it comes to what`s truly, truly important, they have that in common. They`re both really, really good looking.

ANDERSON: At first, audiences thought they were being conned.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: OK, let`s talk about what we`re going to do to her.

ANDERSON: Until the 40-something mother Moore actually married the 20-something Kutcher kid.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Demi`s kids love Ashton because he`s like the little brother they never had.

ANDERSON: Then there`s...

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Celine and Rene.

ANDERSON: Their meeting wasn`t a surprise. He was Celine`s manager from day one. Celine`s heart will go on for Rene even though their relationship is, let`s just say, still a bit confusing to some.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: He`s 9,000 years old. What gives?

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: When couples get together and -- they get together with all the best intentions, you know, they want to make it work.

ANDERSON: But being polar opposites can either make or break the relationship.

Lisa Marie Presley and Michael Jackson raised eyebrows from day one.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: When Nicholas Cage is the second weirdest guy that you`ve married, there`s trouble.

ANDERSON: Lisa and Michael cited irreconcilable differences when they split 21 months later.

Bad boy Bobby Brown and good girl Whitney Houston married in 1992. Well, prerogatives must have changed.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Bobby and Whitney, worse duet in music since Gwyneth Paltrow and Huey Lewis did that awful movie.

ANDERSON: Whitney and Bobby`s divorce was finalized in April of 2007.

Then there`s the story of the all-American girl hooking up with the heavy metal head man.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Who would have thought that marrying a hard- drinking, partying rock star would have been a bad idea?

ANDERSON: Some call it a miracle. But "One Day at a Time" star Valarie Bertinelli and Eddie Van Halen`s marriage last two decades.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Eddie and Valarie, they`re like, you know, things that just seemed good in the `80s and don`t go well together now, like stirrup pants and a blazer.

ANDERSON: Valarie and Eddie`s differences finally took its toll. The couple has called it quits.

UNIDENTIFIED EMALE: And then later on, you find that the opposite aspect of your relationship is really what is going to tear you apart because of the way you handle things.

ANDERSON: Opposites attract, it`s a tricky theory to take. But SHOWBIZ TONIGHT is here to tell you, if you are going to take that one step forward, be prepared to take a step or two back to keep that opposite relationship on track.

HAMMER: And speaking of attraction, things got pretty steamy on "The View" today with Regis Philbin as a guest. Listen to what happened. They were doing the hot topics and the co-hosts were debating a study about whether men prefer to see their wives in a sheer night gown or completely naked.

The subject came up again when Regis came out for his interview. So Barbara had to ask about Regis` wife, who happens to be named Joy. Watch what happened.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

PHILBIN: Well, now that you mention it, I`d like to see you nude.

JOY BEHAR, CO-HOST, "THE VIEW": You know what? You eye sight`s still good. I can`t go there.

PHILBIN: But would you feel funny if I saw you nude?

BEHAR: Yes, darling, I would.

JOY BEHAR: How would you feel if I saw you nude?

PHILBIN: I think you`d be very impressed.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: OK, are you picturing Regis Philbin naked right about now? You`re welcome.

ANDERSON: Fit as a fiddle. OK, Joy`s name may have caused a little confusion on the view, but I`ve got to say that is nothing compared to how confusing it`s been trying to keep up with Sean Comb`s names changing over the years. Puffy, Puff Daddy, P. Diddy, just Diddy, and now there`s a whole new chapter to the saga. You`ve got to stick around to hear this. It`s absolutely ridiculous, next.

HAMMER: You can watch SHOWBIZ TONIGHT video anytime. Just download our podcast.

Jay, is it still free?

Still free. You can find the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT podcast at cnn.com/showbiztonight. You an also get it on iTunes.

SHOWBIZ TONIGHT is coming straight back.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

ANDERSON: Here we are. P. Diddy is setting the record straight about his ever-changing name. There were rumors on some blogs that Puffy, Puff Daddy, P. Diddy, Sean Combs was changing his name again. Go figure. But he posted a video blog to clear up the confusion.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

SEAN COMBS, RAPPER: Your boy has not changed his name. I did not change my name. I have not changed my name. I have not changed my name. Now, I want to stress and kind of ask the people that are in the power positions, the bloggers and the outlets, the reporters, let`s utilize our time with something more important than if I change my name, OK?

Now, there are millions of Americans out there that are not registered to vote. Let`s utilize our power through your blogs to get these guys registered to vote. And let`s make sure that they vote on my birthday, November 4th, OK? That`s my birthday present that I want from all you guys. I want you to go and vote. But first, you have to be registered, OK? In order to get into the election party, you`ve got to be registered.

So once again, I did not change my name. I did not change my name. I didn`t change my (EXPLETIVE DELETED) name. But if I wanted to I could call myself anything I want because I have lived this life, so I have the right to wake up in the morning and say, good morning, Puffy. Good morning, Puff Daddy. Good morning, Diddy. How are you this fine morning? And I would say to myself, oh, I am wonderful because I`m black and I`m proud. And I`ve got beautiful kids and I make hit records, and great clothes.

And by the way, I`m rich (EXPLETIVE DELETED). I would say that to any of my various names. But that would be between me and myself.

Get register to vote, OK? Don`t worry about if I change my name, but I ain`t changing my name.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: OK, so recapping, Diddy has not changed his name and register to vote.

HAMMER: I never realized how eloquent he was. Is that real?

We`ve been asking you to vote on our SHOWBIZ TONIGHT question of the day, Hulk Hogan, can his career survive his son`s scandal? The vote so far, 60 percent, yes, 40 percent, no.

Let`s look at a couple of the emails we got.

Marge from Indiana writes, "If his fans heard what he has said, as I have, he will not gain back his popularity."

But Mike from Michigan thinks differently. He writes, "I think Hulk Hogan will be alright. When it is all said and done, other celebrities have done stuff a lot worse and survived."

I was surprised, a lot of support, 60 percent of the people said, yes, he`s going to be OK as far as his career goes.

Well, that is it for SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York. And I have not changed my name.

ANDERSON: Nor have I. I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood.
