(MUSIC)
Hello. I`m A.J. Hammer, broadcasting tonight and every night from New York City.
BROOKE ANDERSON, CO-HOST: Hi there, everyone. I`m Brooke Anderson, coming to you tonight from Hollywood. Tonight, octu-mom`s brand new dramatic confessions.
HAMMER: Yes, Brooke. Just when you thought all this octu-drama had reached its peak, I`m here to tell you more wild and unbelievable details are emerging. Tonight, we are learning abut Suleman`s outrageous lie to her own mother, denying she was pregnant. Did she really tell her mom that her baby bump was a tumor?
And now, octu-mom is turning to TV`s Dr. Phil for help after word that the hospital may not let her take her newborns home. Her dramatic new confessions are making big news right now.
(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)
NADYA SULEMAN, OCTUPLET MOM: I do feel part of it. Part of any anger that people are experiencing is because I am single and chose to have so many.
HAMMER (voice over): TV viewers are seeing octuplet mom Nadya Suleman in a place some would say she should have visited a while ago, a psychologist`s couch. She appeared on the Dr. Phil show for some TV counseling.
DR. PHIL MCGRAW, TV PSYCHOLOGIST: You said that you had this void from this dysfunctional childhood, and so you wanted this big family. Are they born with a job of filling your void?
N. SULEMAN: Take a couple into consideration, couples that have 12 or more children. What about them? What is their real motive, though, for wanting more and more and more? Why are they exempt from being labeled and being called all kinds of negative terms just because they`re married?
HAMMER: SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you Dr. Phil is now getting involved in octu-mom`s many problems including a big one that just came up.
ALICIA QUARLES, ASSOCIATED PRESS: She is afraid the children might never come home with her.
HAMMER: Dr. Phil tells "The Los Angeles Times" that Suleman recently called him, frantic about a call she received from officials at this California Kaiser Permanente Hospital where her octuplets remain.
QUARLES: They`re concerned about the living conditions and that the babies may never go home with her.
HAMMER: A Kaiser Permanente spokesperson tells SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, quote "Any conversations that the mother may or may not have had on this topic are private and we could not discuss them. In general, mothers with multiple births who have babies in the neonatal intensive care unit are given advice and counsel about what they need to have in place to care for the children when they are discharged."
QUARLES: The living situations are not ideal.
HAMMER: Alicia Quarles of the Associated Press tells SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. anyone would have reason to worry about the conditions in which the Suleman kids live, conditions we got a glimpse of in this "Dateline NBC" special.
QUARLES: Nadya has six children. They`re living in their mother`s home, which has three bedrooms. And the house is being foreclosed upon. So imagine eight people living in a house bringing eight more children home - not going to work.
HAMMER: But SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you, if you think the possibility that the octuplets might not go home with the octu-mom isn`t shocking enough, listen to this.
ANGELA SULEMAN, NADYA SULEMAN`S MOTHER: I didn`t really know in the beginning because she is kind of sneaky.
HAMMER: In this RadarOnline.com video, Nadya`s mother, Angela, reveals that Nadya actually lied to her about being pregnant with the octuplets.
A. SULEMAN: All of a sudden, her stomach is growing bigger and bigger. And I said, "What is going on?" And she says, "Oh, I have a tumor." Yes, right.
N. SULEMAN: I don`t apologize for having all my children, and I never would.
QUARLES: She doesn`t say, you know, "Mom, I`m sorry. I know that you`re already raising six others." She just says, "Sorry, I`m not apologetic. I`m having eight and I`m not sorry for it." Something is not clicking in Nadya`s brain.
HAMMER: Fortunately, Nadya says she is done having kids.
N. SULEMAN: That would be the epitome of selfishness to even consider having any more. Even one more. No, of course not.
A. SULEMAN: I really hope so.
HAMMER: And get this, Nadya, who is currently unemployed says she plans to provide for her big financially strapped family by writing a book.
N. SULEMAN: I am a good writer and I always plan on writing a book about the challenges associated with raising child with all these (UNINTELLIGIBLE). Now, it is even going to be bigger because there will be eight more.
HAMMER: For some reason, no one thinks Dr. Spock has anything to worry about.
QUARLES: Nobody is going to buy a book from Nadya about parenting.
HAMMER: If reports are true, it`s Suleman`s own parenting skills that may soon be of interest to child welfare officials, not to mention TV shrinks.
(END VIDEOTAPE)
OK. Octu-mom is telling the world she doesn`t want any of this media attention. So why the heck is she turning to Dr. Phil for help and revealing all of her family turmoil on the Internet? I`m confused.
Joining me tonight in New York is Chris Myers - he`s a senior executive editor of "RadarOnline.com" which caught the octu-mom`s confessions on tape. And in New York is Cooper Lawrence who is a psychology expert, and author of the fantastic book, "The Cult of Celebrity."
This story, I have to tell you, day after day, never ceases to amaze me. Chris, want to start out with you. In part two of your interview with the octu-family that you had on RadarOnline.com, Nadya`s mother reveals to the world that Nadya actually tried to cover up the pregnancy in what I think is an unbelievable way. Watch this.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
A. SULEMAN: I didn`t really know in the beginning because she is kind of sneaky. I don`t know how to say this. She`s done the other ones, you know, without letting me know. And then all of a sudden, her stomach is growing, bigger and bigger. And I said, "What is going on?" And she says, "Oh, I have a tumor." Yes, right.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: Wow, a tumor. OK. Chris, did Nadya even try to deny her mother`s accusation?
CHRIS MYERS, SENIOR EXECUTIVE EDITOR, "RADARONLINE.COM": Well, what she said was, "You know, look. Yes, in my first pregnancy, I lied to you and said I had a tumor. I was scared. I didn`t want to come forward with the information."
Clearly, she was pregnant. That was baby number one, OK? But over and over again, throughout her six pregnancies, she didn`t come forward to her mom. She kept having babies and trying to hide it in different manners from her mother.
And then, on the last - on the one that resulted with eight births, Angela told us that she went to Nadya`s doctor prior, because there were six embryos left, OK?
HAMMER: Right.
MYERS: Six embryos remaining. Angela says, "I went to this doctor - the same doctor allegedly did all the pregnancies - went to this doctor and begged him not to do this again. And the end result was the octuplets were born.
HAMMER: Yes. And Angela, of course, that`s Nadya`s mom - the octu-granny, I like to call her.
MYERS: Yes, the octu-granny. Right.
HAMMER: But it is crazy to me that Nadya would make something like this up, a tumor to cover for a baby bump. You know, to her mom - and this is the person after all who, Nadya was counting on to house her and the kids and to help take care of everybody. Cooper, why would she lie like that?
COOPER LAWRENCE, PSYCHOLOGY EXPERT: A.J., you are the only one who is shocked. This is somebody who has not been truthful about anything from the very beginning. And her mom implies that she has not been truthful her entire life.
The question is, how did somebody not step in after child number two? I mean, the idea - this is somebody that cannot afford to have one child and now, she has 14. Nobody stepped in to do anything. Nobody stepped in to help. Nobody stepped in to help the children.
It`s an amazing story because the parents are only now coming forward and saying, "I think there might be something mentally wrong with her."
HAMMER: Yes. And contradictions keep on coming. I mean, Suleman has publicly stated - we have it on tape. She said, "I am not a celebrity. I don`t want all the media attention."
But as we showed you, she was right there on "Dr. Phil" today, seen all over the world. Watch what she says when Dr. Phil asks her why she thinks people are so mad at her.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
N. SULEMAN: I think one of the primary reasons, one of them - and there`s multiple - is the economy right now. And so then, they`re under the impression that they hear the situation and without even taking who I am as a person into consideration which is human nature - we are going to label that person. That person is going to be a burden on society, a burden on our taxpayers.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: Yes. And a lot of people are saying, "Wow, how bright can this woman be for going through what she is going through?"
Chris, you saw her and how she is firsthand. Is she a lot smarter than people are giving her credit for?
MYERS: Well, when you listen to her, she is very articulate. When you hear her talk, she speaks well. She is very passionate. And she really does care about these kids. There is no doubt about that. But -
HAMMER: But do you agree - do you agree, she is very well prepped as well?
MYERS: Right. Right. I mean, when you really listen to what she is saying, she is living in a fantasyland. I mean, that`s clear. She has this Pollyanna attitude that "My gaggle of kids are going to follow around and life is going to be a bed of roses."
We all know that this is a crisis. We know that she called Dr. Phil the latest news and said the hospital is saying, "I can`t bring these kids home until I childproof my house."
HAMMER: Yes.
MYERS: So she has to get a smoke alarm. She has to childproof the outlets in the house. She is going to turn the living room into like a mini-day care. She doesn`t have another house yet.
The house has three small bedrooms. So the latest news is, there is an organization called Angels in Waiting that has found a home.
HAMMER: Yes.
MYERS: They have an army of volunteers ready.
HAMMER: All of which we have covered, Chris.
MYERS: Right.
HAMMER: And I`m going to end it there because we need to. But I thank you very much for joining us. And wow, what tape you got on the octu-mom. Chris Myers, appreciate it.
MYERS: Thank you.
HAMMER: And Cooper Lawrence as well. You can follow and watch al the latest developments and the video on the octu-mom drama by going to the special section of our Web site, CNN.com/ShowbizTonight.
Now let me turn it over to you. Here is our SHOWBIZ TONIGHT question of the day - "Octu-mom Drama: Do you think she will lose her kids?" What do you think? You can let us know, CNN.com/ShowbizTonight. Or email showbiztonight@cnn.com.
HAMMER: So Brooke, I don`t know if the octuplet mom is helping herself at all by speaking out everywhere and doing all these TV interviews.
ANDERSON: Yes. I agree with you, A.J. I mean, wouldn`t it be better if she took it down a notch? Straight ahead, we`ve got a fired-up bunch ready to go on this controversial question. Is the octu-mom actually making the case to have her kids taken away from her? Will this media blitz backfire?
HAMMER: Tonight, inside the Obama White House. Michelle Obama dishes brand-new secrets on life at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue about her marriage to Barack, about their kids. Plus, the First Lady finally reveals when they will be getting the first dog.

(END VIDEO CLIP)
ANDERSON: A kiss and "I love you" from the First Lady to the president before his big primetime speech. Tonight, Michelle Obama has some huge news the world has been waiting to hear.
Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood.
It is time now for the "SHOWBIZ Obama watch." Tonight Michelle Obama`s White House secrets revealed. The First Lady tells all in a remarkable new inside-the-White House interview. She`s revealing intimate details about her marriage, her kids and about that highly anticipated first dog.
With me now, Betsy Gleick. She is "People" magazine`s executive editor and did the interview with the First Lady for the "People" magazine cover story.
Betsy, just one month after moving into the White House, Michelle Obama, opening up about life behind closed doors. Take a look at a typical day in the life of the president and the First Lady. Michelle says they`re both up 5:30 in the morning. They have a workout. They have breakfast together most mornings. She pops into the Oval Office during the day to say hi to her hubby. They have dinner together every night when the president isn`t traveling.
Betsy, this could be a day in the life of any normal family that they are anything but. Were you just stunned at how normal their life does sound?
BETSY GLEICK, EXECUTIVE EDITOR, "PEOPLE" MAGAZINE: Absolutely. I mean she just - she told us and she seemed so incredibly comfortable in the White House and in this really kind of head-turning new life that they have.
But she said that their family life is better than it has ever been. Certainly, it`s easier than being out on the campaign trail.
ANDERSON: Yes. And she said Barack even tucks the kids in bed most nights if he is not traveling.
GLEICK: That`s right.
ANDERSON: She just seems so darn likable about the whole thing. And "People" magazine also got a huge scoop about a brand-new member of the Obama family. We hear that he or she will be at the White House in just a matter of weeks. The world has been waiting, Betsy. What did Michelle Obama tell you about the first pup-in-chief?
GLEICK: Well, she said they are leaning towards getting a Portuguese Waterhound. They haven`t totally decided on that, but they like that breed. They want a rescue dog. They want something that`s not too big, not too small. And it`s coming in April.
ANDERSON: After that spring break, right?
GLEICK: After spring break.
ANDERSON: With the kids.
GLEICK: Right.
ANDERSON: OK. Well, she also reveals secrets about her marriage to Barack Obama. She told "People," quote, "I don`t want anybody to think it`s that easy. It works because we really work at it. We have a strong marriage, but it`s not perfect."
OK, so many have called their marriage a fairy tale romance. And Michelle makes this very honest confession here that you don`t expect to hear from a First Lady. Betsy, do you think this is one more thing that makes Michelle Obama relatable to women?
GLEICK: Yes, I do. I mean, we really - we asked her specifically about the marriage because so many people are looking at them and their body language and their sort of modern relationship and thinking, "Wow. Can their marriage really be as perfect as that?"
And she said, "We have a really good relationship. We will do anything for one another. We are really good friends. But people, don`t - you know, don`t think that it is too perfect."
ANDERSON: Yes. She -
GLEICK: She really - she is aware that she is a role model and that people are looking at her.
ANDERSON: Very forthcoming and very honest in so many ways. And speaking of being a role model, she has become a role model in a number of ways - determined, successful intelligent woman, as a mother, as a fashionista. Betsy, do you think she feels the pressure of being an icon?
GLEICK: She says that she doesn`t. And she doesn`t - she didn`t appear to be stressed. She is certainly aware - she is certainly aware that people are looking at her. She knows that she is a role model for African- American women ...
ANDERSON: Yes.
GLEICK: ... which is why she wanted to appear in "Vogue" as, you know, a different kind of beauty.
ANDERSON: Right. Yes. She just seems so relaxed about everything - devoted mom, and wife above all else. Betsy Gleick, we`ve got to leave it there for now. But thanks for joining us.
GLEICK: Sure.
ANDERSON: Hey, remember to pick up the brand-new issue of "People" magazine. It goes on sale Friday.
HAMMER: Brooke, have you been seeing what has been happening with the "Showbiz on Call" phone lines still ringing nonstop about the octu-mom? Look at our operators, so octu-tired but they are hanging in there, Brooke.
ANDERSON: Yes they are, A.J. We`ve got a call into "Showbiz on Call" from Lynn in Kentucky.
(BEGIN AUDIO CLIP)
LYNN, CALLER FROM KENTUCKY: I think the octu-mom should be put in prison for what she is doing. She is totally manipulating the system and it is totally wrong.
(END AUDIO CLIP)
HAMMER: Prison. Wow. Well, thank you, Lynn. We also heard from Kristy calling in to "Showbiz on Call" from Ohio.
(BEGIN AUDIO CLIP)
KRISTY, CALLER FROM OHIO: I think that all the publicity around the octu- mom is not good for her. I do believe she has some emotional problems. I think we should pray for her. And I think all of this stress is not good. She has got some six children at home and eight babies to bring home. We need to just back off of her and leave her alone. Let her raise her children.
(END AUDIO CLIP)
ANDERSON: Thank you for that, Kristy. You can call us at "Showbiz on Call" - 1-888-SBT-BUZZ; 1-888-728-2899.
A.J., judging by all the fired up reaction to the octu-mom we keep getting, maybe it is time for her to stop this out-of-control media blitz.
HAMMER: Yes, Brooke. I think that is an excellent point. I think it really may be hurting her in the long run. Now, coming up, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT putting this question to our fired up panel. With each of these interviews that she does, the controversial move she makes, is the octu-mom actually making the case to have her kids taken away from her?
We have also got this -
NAOMI WATTS, ACTRESS: What makes him attractive is that he doesn`t have an awareness of his looks.
HAMMER: Just who is Naomi Watts talking about? I can tell you he is successful, hot and over 40. Tonight, the men over 40 women just love. It`s a SHOWBIZ TONIGHT-"More" magazine special report.
HAMMER: And tonight, John Mayer speaking out about why he was so nervous about going to the Oscars with Jennifer Aniston. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN.
Now, the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news right now.
(CAPTION READS: "Transformers" star Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green call off their engagement. "The Hills" Lauren Conrad says this is her last season, according to "Seventeen.")
(COMMERCIAL BREAK)
HAMMER: Well, thank you, Charles. Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m A.J. Hammer.
ANDERSON: And I`m Brooke Anderson. Tonight, Denise Richards is opening up about her ugly divorce from Charlie Sheen and whether she started to date again.
HAMMER: Yes, Brooke. Listen to this - in a brand-new interview with Ellen DeGeneres, Denise reveals how she is doing after a painful split from Charlie Sheen. Her mom, of course, died when all that was going on. And then Ellen lightens things up by playing matchmaker for her. Take a look at this.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
ELLEN DEGENERES, HOST, "THE ELLEN DEGENERES SHOW": How did you get through everything?
DENISE RICHARDS, ACTRESS: Well, it was probably the worst few years of my life.
DEGENERES: Divorce, mother passed away?
RICHARDS: Yes, which is a lot.
DEGENERES: Yes.
RICHARDS: Moved, kids, a lot of public scrutiny and humiliation. So before my mom passed away during the public humiliation of different things I was dealing with my mom - you know, she would always say, "You are a lot stronger than you think you are. You will get through it."
And you know, then she passed away, so I had to deal with that which was really difficult. But I think that`s - you know, my kids, I don`t - I could have gone one way or the other.
And I have two little girls so I needed to, you know, be a parent and let them see - you know, there is a lot of stuff obviously they don`t know and didn`t see. But I had to move forward.
DEGENERES: Are you dating now?
RICHARDS: Ish. Dating-ish.
DEGENERES: Dating-ish -
RICHARDS: That`s very hard.
DEGENERES: Dating-ish one guy or dating-ish a bunch of guys? Like what does -ish mean?
RICHARDS: Just -ish. OK. We`ll leave it at that. You know, it`s hard. I am a single mom so you definitely - I don`t want to bring someone around my children.
DEGENERES: Until you know -
(CROSS TALK)
RICHARDS: Yes. And you know, if you`re out in public with someone then, they automatically think you are with them. So -
DEGENERES: right. So where do you - how do you go meet somebody? How do you have a chance to get to know somebody?
RICHARDS: I haven`t quite figured that out.
DEGENERES: So that`s the -ish part.
RICHARDS: The -ish part.
DEGENERES: So you`re not dating at all. The -ish is not dating at all because it sounds like that you are not going anywhere.
RICHARDS: I am not engaged to anyone.
DEGENERES: All right. Because I am trying to set Ryan Seacrest up, but I can`t set you up with him because he is the executive producer of your show, so you already know him.
RICHARDS: I know him, and he knows way too much about me. If he sees the dailies of our show and everything else ...
DEGENERES: Right. Yes.
RICHARDS: ... it`s almost embarrassing.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: Yes. So I`m not sure. Seacrest said it wouldn`t be a good thing either. As Ellen mentioned, he does run Denise`s "E!" show "It`s Complicated." And you know, dating the boss - Brooke, it`s not always a very good idea.
ANDERSON: No, it`s not, A.J. And hey, the octu-mom is really making things complicated for herself.
Now, the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT lineup. Here`s what`s coming up at the bottom of the hour on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.

Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. It is 30 minutes past the hour. I`m A.J. Hammer, broadcasting tonight and every night from New York City.
ANDERSON: And I`m Brooke Anderson, coming to you tonight from Hollywood.
And tonight, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s continuing coverage of the octu- madness. Tonight, the case against the octu-mom.
HAMMER: Brooke, my head is ready to octu-explode. Nadya Suleman has sparked this nationwide frenzy. And now, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT has to ask - is Nadya actually making the case to have her kids taken away?
SHOWBIZ TONIGHT has the newest bombshell revelation by Nadya`s mother who says Nadya kept her in the dark about her octuplet pregnancy saying she had a tumor instead. It wasn`t a baby bump. It was a tumor.
This, plus her brand-new interview with Dr. Phil where Nadya says it wasn`t her plan to have this many kids. And all this comes on the heels of an explosive interview Nadya`s dad gave Oprah Winfrey. Even Nadya`s own father is questioning Suleman`s mental state and asking Oprah for help.
Joining me tonight in New York is Jane Velez-Mitchell, host of "ISSUES WITH JANE VELEZ-MITCHELL" seen weekday nights, 7:00 p.m. Eastern right here on HLN. Also in New York, Cooper Lawrence who is a psychology expert and author of the fabulous book, "The Cult of Celebrity."
Let`s begin with octu-mom`s bombshell brand-new interview with Dr. Phil. Dr. Phil asks Nadya Suleman how she actually planned to take care of the six kids that she already had with even one more on the way despite the fact that she is unemployed and single. Watch this.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
N. SULEMAN: For my six - and I thought at the most, I would say, have seven. I thought that would be fine. I`ll keep going, keep working. I`ll get a job, hopeful. At the school, I found out that there are opportunities where you can start at 70. And I had - my professors were explaining that to me.
I had that little plan in my head. OK, I am going to work in the beginning, part-time, and then work full time. Nevertheless, my life and my plans completely took a different turn.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: Different turn. You think? Jane, she really actually thought all this could work out even if she just had seven kids. Does that make any sense to you?
JANE VELEZ-MITCHELL, HOST, "ISSUES WITH JANE VELEZ-MITCHELL": It makes absolutely no sense, A.J. First of all, why aren`t six kids enough? I ask you that. That`s the big question right there. Why did she feel so compelled to just have one more?
I mean, kids aren`t potato chips. You know, you have one more, there is a lot of responsibility. And then given that she says she only wanted to have one more, why did she allow six embryos to be implanted within her?
She says "Oh, well I thought it would result in one kid." She is playing Russian roulette with children`s lives, and this is the height of irresponsibility. This woman needs some serious help.
HAMMER: And to Dr. Phil`s credit, he said even one more was not a good idea. Now, Cooper, one thing that I know is that throughout this entire interview with Dr. Phil, Nadya Suleman had an answer for everything, really, that he put to her, saying she can handle anything that came her way from, you know, finding a home to those inevitable 3:00 a.m. wakeups and the feedings and the diaper changing.
By saying all of this, is she just making a case against herself and really in the most public way possible?
LAWRENCE: A.J., she is media prepped now. She has publicist after publicist stepping forward to take her case. And they prep her. So she answers the same way a celebrity would when they`re being asked a tough question.
I mean, they`re on damage control right now. I don`t get the impression anything she says is genuine at all. Everything she says seems to be rehearsed - seems to be, "Aren`t I wonderful? Aren`t I great? Will you give me money now?"
And it`s just - it`s so phony. I don`t - I have not seen a genuine moment out of her once.
HAMMER: Well, and that`s the huge problem here because she keeps putting out all this information and doing it, as you say, in what seems to be to many people this phony way. So the worse it really seems to get for her and really, the perception of her and how everybody sees her.
You have to listen to this outrageous story that Nadya`s own mother shared with the world on "Radar Online." This is unbelievable.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
A. SULEMAN: I didn`t really know in the beginning because she is kind of sneaky. I don`t know how to say this. She has done the other ones, you know, without letting me know. And then, all of a sudden, her stomach is growing bigger and bigger. And I say, "What`s going on?" And she says, "Oh, I have a tumor." Yes, right.
N. SULEMAN: I don`t apologize for having all my children, and I never would. And I love them more than I`ve ever known love in my life.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: All right. Nadya didn`t really acknowledge whether or not it was true that she said she had a tumor instead of the baby bump.
But I mean, are you kidding me here? Let`s keep in mind that Nadya was counting on her very own mother to house her, to house her kids, to help take care of all of them.
Jane, as octu-mom continues to put these stories out there, doesn`t it really just make a better case for anyone who says these kids should be taken away from her?
VELEZ-MITCHELL: Absolutely. And she`s afraid of that because the hospital will not release these children just when they become physically healthy and mature enough to be released.
There are other criteria. They look at whether this home is a viable environment for the children. And if they don`t feel that it is, they can call the Department of Children and Family Service which can then step in do an investigation and make a decision that these children should not be sent home.
So it`s a very real fear, and I think it`s a very good likelihood that something like that will transpire.
HAMMER: And it just keeps on coming, all of these allegations, accusations. As if things couldn`t get any worse, Nadya`s mother says to the world that she thinks Nadya has an obsession with having babies. Watch this.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
A. SULEMAN: I hope you`re done. Otherwise, we really need some help. And I`m talking about psychological.
N. SULEMAN: I believe it would be the epitome - that would be the epitome of selfishness to even consider having any more, even one more. No, of course not.
A. SULEMAN: I really hope so. As long as she is not going to continue this - I mean it seems as if she is obsessive-compulsive and she needs to keep doing this. And I hope she is not. I mean, is 14 enough?
N. SULEMAN: I don`t - well, even if - I don`t have any frozen embryos.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: All right. Well, maybe that is a good thing. Cooper none of this is good for Nadya, though, with all of the speaking out. I`m trying to understand why the mother would get involved and say all these things in a public way. Do you think perhaps she is doing it in this very public forum because she wants her daughter to get some help? Or do you think it`s not even thought through that much.
LAWRENCE: Oh, god. A.J., it`s a cry for help. She has been saying from the very beginning that her daughter has a problem. She is not going to support her. She is coming out and letting us know what is really going on.
Because I have to say, I don`t really believe anything Nadya Suleman has told us. She has been disingenuous in the very beginning. We got a lot of "I don`t want any publicity." Yet, she is everywhere. And then she hires a publicist.
"Oh, I`m not taking any public money, whatsoever." And then we find out she has been doing that for years. So I don`t think anything she is saying is credible. So somebody has to step forward and be an advocate for these children. Obviously, her mother feels the need to be the person to do that.
HAMMER: Well, but when you watch the video, it`s hard to know if that is really what the motivation is here. Jane, do you think? Is mom speaking out, the octu-granny, so perhaps people will see this and really, you know, get her daughter the help that she needs?
VELEZ-MITCHELL: I question octu-granny`s judgment as well. The idea that she would believe for one second flat that her daughter had a tumor when in fact she was pregnant and had already had six kids is beyond comprehension.
HAMMER: I don`t know. And to her - to be clear, I don`t know that octu- granny said that she believed that.
VELEZ-MITCHELL: OK.
HAMMER: She just heard that claim. But I`m sorry. Go ahead.
VELEZ-MITCHELL: Well, she used it as justification, "Remember when I saw you and you looked pregnant, you said you had a tumor." I mean, the very fact that they`re having that kind of interaction tells me that there is a sick dynamic between these two.
And I really feel that the grandmother is very co-dependent on Nadya Suleman. In fact, if she had stood up and had been firmer during the first six pregnancies, we might not be in this situation.
I think this woman, Nadya, feels she can get away with anything. And mom is there as a giant safety net will catch anything that falls. And that`s part of the problem.
HAMMER: But what about octu-granddad? Well, that would be Nadya`s own father, who actually asked Oprah Winfrey to help evaluate Nadya. Watch this.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
EDWARD DOUD, NADYA SULEMAN`S FATHER: I am not a psychiatrist. But I question her mental situation.
OPRAH WINFREY, HOST, "THE OPRAH WINFREY SHOW": Yes.
DOUD: I beg people not to punish someone who is mentally not complete.
WINFREY: So are you saying your daughter is mentally not complete?
DOUD: I do not know. I need her to be evaluated. Can you help with that?
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: All right. So let me ask you this quickly. Cooper, you`ve got the father reaching out to Oprah. Nadya talking to "Radar Online" with her mom and Nadya talking to Dr. Phil. Should everybody just shut up or perhaps - and I give you 10 seconds here. Do you think it is actually good for the kids that they`re speaking out so they will get help they need?
LAWRENCE: I think it is good for the kids. And think it`s good that somebody`s finally saying it. This woman has psychological problems. Everyone is worried of protecting her because he is a mother without realizing these children need a real mother, not somebody that clearly has some psychological issues.
HAMMER: We`ve got to remember the kids through all this. Cooper Lawrence, Jane Velez-Mitchell, thank you both.
And you can follow and watch all the latest developments and video in the octu-mom drama by going to our special octu-mom section, now on our Web site at CNN.com/ShowbizTonight.
Brooke, let`s move on shall we? How cool was it to see Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer going out on Oscar night?
ANDERSON: You know, a lot of fun, A.J. They looked fantastic, a very handsome couple. And tonight, John Mayer is speaking out about what it was like to go to the Oscars with Jennifer. That is next. You don`t want to miss it.
And we`ll also have this -
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
WATTS: What makes him attractive is that he doesn`t have an awareness of his looks.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
HAMMER: So which Hollywood hottie do you think Naomi is talking about there? Well, tonight, SHOWBIZ special event when SHOWBIZ TONIGHT teams up with "More" magazine to name the men over 40 who women love.
ANDERSON: And a big reality show star is taking her real life home invasion to the Internet. We will tell you who posted this video online of her home being robbed. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN.
Now, the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news right now.
(CAPTION READS: Ellen DeGeneres to voice a character in upcoming animated film, "Dog Show." Young actors from "Slumdog Millionaire" will get new homes.)
(COMMERCIAL BREAK)
HAMMER: Look at John Mayer and Jennifer Aniston all decked out on Oscar night. Tonight, John is speaking out about his big Oscar date with Jen.
Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York.
You know, John Mayer says he was really nervous to go to the Oscars but he had a lot of fun. John and Jennifer Aniston walked their very first red carpet together on Sunday. Jennifer, of course, was a presenter at the Academy Awards.
And John says for one night, he got to put on a great suit and step into the picture frame of Hollywood. John called into Ryan Seacrest`s radio show today. Listen to what he said.
(BEGIN AUDIO CLIP)
RYAN SEACREST, RADIO HOST: You and your girlfriend were out for the first time on a carpet over the weekend.
JOHN MAYER, SINGER: I was very, very nervous about that.
SEACREST: Yes. Well, I am wondering, what was the thought before you want out there? Because you don`t want to say too much. But at the same time, you want to say something.
MAYER: You know, it`s really - it actually was very effortless. I was sort of there to - you know, it`s not my world - the Oscar thing. But I really felt like - gosh, she was so sweet to me that night. You can go from Grammy winner to a water boy when you walk into the Kodak Theater on Oscar night. That is just like - that`s a whole different level, you know. So I was sort of like, moral support/will you please introduce me to so and so.
(END AUDIO CLIP)
HAMMER: Well, John said that he and Jen decided to make the Oscars their very first major public event together because after a year, they just felt comfortable together. And they said, "Let`s go have a really good time at the Oscars." And I think they did.
ANDERSON: Tonight, it`s a SHOWBIZ special event, the top men over 40 that women love.
SHOWBIZ TONIGHT has teamed up with "More" magazine to name the top men over 40 who have their act together or at the top of their game, and women love them. I`m talking stars like the hunky Daniel Craig, and hilarious Steve Carrell. They`re only getting better as they get older.
Tonight, our exclusive look at those hunky men over 40 who women just love.
(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)
(voice over): They`re sexy, successful and they`re all over 40. I`m talking about "More" magazine`s pick for the top 10 men women love over 40. Oh, my -
LESLEY JANE SEYMOUR, EDITOR-IN-CHIEF, "MORE" MAGAZINE: I think what women love about men over 40. They`ve lived a little. And I think there is something charming and something really appealing about a man who has something deeper to offer.
ANDERSON: We start with George Clooney. Ever the wooer, George Clooney typifies the Hollywood bachelor that will pretty much make any woman melt.
SEYMOUR: He is hot. He`s still hot. Wonderful actor.
ANDERSON: The same can be said of "Grey`s Anatomy" star, Patrick Dempsey. You can`t deny it. This man earned his nickname, McDreamy. The dimples, the wavy hair - who would have thought this awkward teen from the `80s movie "Can`t Buy Me Love" would grow up to be this guy?
SEYMOUR: He is kind of charming and funny and sweet. And I think that`s what comes across.
ANDERSON: And what comes across in "More" magazine`s next pick is the smile. Oh, that smile. We`re talking about the strong, sexy, silent Denzel Washington. He`s been on the big screen for years and he has yet to disappoint.
DENZEL WASHINGTON, ACTOR: I don`t choose films. They choose me usually.
ANDERSON: Well, Denzel, we chose you as one of "More" magazine`s top men women love over 40.
"More" magazine also put Clive Owen on that list. His latest movie "The International" showed off his rugged good looks, piercing eyes and an accent that makes women swoon.
But his co-star, Naomi Watts tells SHOWBIZ TONIGHT Clive has no idea he is so sexy.
WATTS: What makes him attractive is that he doesn`t have an awareness of his looks, and in a really authentic way.
ANDERSON: When Clive found out more magazine named him one of the 10 men over 40 women love, he was humble. He told SHOWBIZ TONIGHT he`s loving his 40s.
CLIVE OWEN, ACTOR: The 40s for me have been, you know, beyond my wildest dreams that I could have hoped for 20 years ago or whatever. So you know, I am having the best time of my life at the moment.
ANDERSON: Another heartbreaker having the time of his life, the king of reinvention, Robert Downey, Jr.
ROBERT DOWNEY, JR. ACTOR: I was acting!
ANDERSON: Oh yes, he`s an actor and a bad boy who we have watched grow up. We have known him through a gamut of great `80s movies, tough times with drugs and the slammer, and now, a big comeback with "Iron Man" and "Tropic Thunder," a movie that got him an Oscar nomination.
DOWNEY: There is no way I could have read the script and said "It`s Oscar time."
ANDERSON: And now, it`s funny time." "More" magazine calls comedian Ricky Gervais one of the 10 men over 40 women love.
RICKY GERVAIS, COMEDIAN AND WRITER, "THE OFFICE": Really?
ANDERSON: He`s the hilarious comedian and a writer for the hit show "The Office."
SEYMOUR: He`s the new Robin Williams as far as I`m concerned.
ANDERSON: We`re redefining Gervais from funny man to sex symbol.
GERVAIS: It`s not working is it? Should I just do a song?
ANDERSON: Let`s hold off on that for right now and move to another "More" magazine favorite, comedian Steve Carrell.
SEYMOUR: I love Steve Carrell and I think, you know, in the last few years, he has really made his mark.
ANDERSON: He`s at the top of his game. And not only does he do great comedy, like "40-Year-Old Virgin," but he`s also proven he`s got a real knack for drama like his role in "Little Miss Sunshine."
STEVE CARRELL, ACTOR: Oh, how about that?
ANDERSON: If there is an actor over 40 out there who knows a thing or two about crossing from comedy into drama, it is Will Smith. He drives female fans of all ages to scream. It`s hard to believe Smith is over 40. Remember him during his years on the "Fresh Prince of Bel Air."
WILL SMITH, ACTOR: What are you, robo-butler?
ANDERSON: Since then, he`s established himself as a true blooded, two-time Oscar-nominated actor with a long, beautiful career ahead of him.
But if you are looking for an international man of mystery, talk about Daniel Craig. "More" magazine says this hunky Bond character drives women gaga. So what is it about this incredible James Bond character that drives women wild?
DANIEL CRAIG, ACTOR: I have no idea. I don`t know.
ANDERSON: We do.
SEYMOUR: He`s kind of rocky and kind of craggy.
ANDERSON: Rocky, craggy, and just plain handsome. And you can say the same of the steamy , sultry Spanish actor Javier Bardem.
SEYMOUR: You know, he`s so incredibly sexy.
ANDERSON: He`s a dreamboat, all right. He won an Oscar in 2008 for his role in "No Country for Old Men" and keeps going strong. His latest film, "Vicky Christina Barcelona" has been hailed by critics. So what`s next for this spicy Spaniard?
JAVIER BARDEM, ACTOR: As an actor, as every actor, what I do want to do next is work.
(END VIDEOTAPE)
ANDERSON: And for more of the exclusive SHOWBIZ TONIGHT and "More" magazine special event, men over 40 women love, pick up a copy of "More" magazine on newsstands right now.
HAMMER: Well, a really big reality star is taking her real-life home invasion to the Internet. Which reality star posted this video of her home being robbed? I will tell you next and show you the video. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN.
And now, the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news right now.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)
HAMMER: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York.
All right. You know, Audrina Patridge from "The Hills?" Well, it seems that everything related to this woman is caught on tape, and I`m not just talking about her show.
Even when her house gets robbed, we`ve got video. Audrina posted this video on her blog, surveillance video of a break-in at her house in a Hollywood - and that kind of looks like my stage manager, Jay.
Audrina wasn`t home when a man and woman broke into her house. She wrote on her blog the robbery was devastating but most of the items that were stolen are replaceable. So she`s asking for anyone who has any information or knows these people - call the police.
Well, Brooke, the "Showbiz on Call" phone lines - they just keep ringing. Everybody is calling in about the octu-mom. Seriously. I want you to look at the "Showbiz on Call" operators working away fielding all of the calls that we get.
ANDERSON: And we are so grateful, A.J. We got a call in to "Showbiz on Call" from Renee in Texas.
(BEGIN AUDIO CLIP)
RENEE, CALLER FROM TEXAS: I am so sick of this octu-mom. You know, you have people saying, "Well, you know, leave her alone. Let her raise her kids." How can she raise her kids? She`s not trying to get help. She has been offered real help. She doesn`t want real help for those kids. And, no, I don`t think she`s (UNINTELLIGIBLE). I think she`s just greedy and hungry for fame.
(END AUDIO CLIP)
ANDERSON: Thank you for that, Renee. Call us on "Showbiz on Call" and let us know what you think about the octu-mom or anything else that is on your mind.
HAMMER: And you know, the "Showbiz on Call" phone lines are open all the time. The number is 1-888-SBT-BUZZ; that is 1-888-728-2899. If you call us, you can leave us a voicemail so we can play your call right here on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.
And your calls to "Showbiz on Call" are now also on our homepage - that is CNN.com/ShowbizTonight.
ANDERSON: Hey, on Tuesday, we asked you to vote on our SHOWBIZ TONIGHT question of the day regarding the octu-mom - "Octu-mom Family: Are they out of control?"
Take a look at these results. 98 percent of you say yes; just two percent say no.
Some of the E-mails we received. Ed from Pennsylvania writes, "Yes, the octu-mom family is out of control. They need to stop."
Shanise from Florida, "They have chosen to publicly air their grievances, but keep in mind that the grandparents are tired, hurt, angry, underappreciated, disrespected, broke and soon to be homeless!"
We appreciate your E-mails.
HAMMER: I`m going to go hang out with the "Showbiz on Call" operators right now, Brooke. That is it for SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York.
ANDERSON: And I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood. Don`t forget, you catch SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on the 11:00s - 11:00 p.m. Eastern, 11:00 p.m. Pacific, and in the morning at 11:00 a.m. Eastern on HLN. Take care.
